Look, I’m not looking to quit smoking... maybe down the road I'll switch up the tobacco I use, but that's about it.

So, look—I’m a heavy smoker. I’m talking about two to two and a half packs of Marlboro Reds every single day... kind of a habit at this point. But I’ve run into this weird issue lately. If I go a few hours without a cigarette—which usually happens while I'm at work since we aren't allowed to smoke on the clock here—my throat starts tightening up. It feels like I’m being suffocated, honestly. The second I light up, everything feels fine again. I remember when I had that nasty case of strep throat recently and wasn't really smoking much... I felt like I couldn't catch my breath and actually had to light one up just because I was feeling so faint. In the mornings, I can barely breathe until I have that first cigarette. It’s like my lungs only start working properly once I get some smoke in them. Anyone else dealing with something similar?

So, what processor are you actually running? I’m rocking a Core i7 e6420 myself—max temp hits about 61.4°C. Even with a massive 40% overclock during Prime95, it doesn't push past 55°C... If I had to guess, your CPU is probably what's triggering those shutdowns. Especially now with the summer heat waves hitting, you really ought to check your airflow... clean out the dust, maybe slap some fresh thermal paste on there if you can...
I don't buy the GPU or motherboard being the culprit—70°C is nothing for a card like that.

I'm running a Logitech G640 mini myself—for those $13 little things, you really can't beat it... it's just way too good.
I went through the exact same thing back when I was your age—supposedly it’s just a standard part of growing up, or whatever. Honestly, even now, it still happens to me occasionally... though usually only when I'm pushing myself too hard physically. It only hits me a few times a year. Before I started smoking again about a year and a half ago, I never had an issue with it. Now that I've picked it up again (yeah, I know, I'm a total idiot)... it happens, but really rarely. I've never actually gone in for any deep-dive medical testing or anything like that.
As for you, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't lose much sleep over it, though maybe go get some basic checkups just to be safe.
Anyone who acts like they "can't" do this or "can't" do that—in my book, that’s just the most pathetic excuse for a man you'll ever meet. There is no such thing as "can't"... if you actually have the drive, you can do anything.
I know this one guy who dropped 110 pounds... he eventually hit a wall where his body just refused to let go of those last few stubborn pounds, but honestly, that's just genetics at work. Even then, he didn't quit—he kept pushing.
And obviously, he wasn't just sitting around the house stuffing his face with Hershey's bars, whining after a week or two about how he couldn't do it or how hard it was... just endless, mindless complaining.
If you truly want something, you're going to make it happen—it takes grit, effort, and a hell of a lot of willpower.
So, what's your go-to drink when things start going south? 😁
The point you're making is solid, it’s just phrased a bit off... Music doesn't actually die out—it just evolves into new genres. It's mostly driven by technology and the way production keeps shifting.
Think about it—music sounded totally different thirty or forty years ago than it does now, and in another thirty years, we'll be looking back at today's stuff as "old school" too. How society perceives sound is always changing, and that's just the nature of things... it's constant.
But music itself? That's never going away—not as long as humans have ears to hear it. 😁
On the street? Like they're just gonna ink some disease right onto you 😁 Look, man—when you actually go to a licensed tattoo studio, everything is as sterile as walking into a dentist's office.
If you’re actually serious about eating for health—like, real results—you might want to spend some time lurking on bodybuilding forums and stuff like that. Those guys... they basically live and breathe this stuff, so they know better than anyone which specific diets hit the mark for certain goals.
Alternatively, just grab a copy of "Life in the Zone." Honestly? Just try following the principles in that book for maybe two weeks... you'll notice a difference in how your mind and body actually feel. It’s a total reset for the whole system.
Look at Crouch from New York City—standing 6'6" and weighing only 152 lbs, 😁

Basically, you take your weight in pounds and divide it by your height squared... using the metric conversion, obviously.
The "healthy" range is usually cited between 18 and 25. Anything outside those bounds suggests you're either underweight or dealing with obesity.
In your case, calculating it out—85kg over 1.85m squared—gives you a 24.84. You're right on the edge there... maybe keep an eye on things.
But what about someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger? I mean, the guy was sitting at like 300 lbs at 6'1" with basically zero body fat...🤣
Look. There are basically two reasons why you're carrying extra weight—
1. Either you're overeating and can't burn through all those calories
2. You eat a regular amount, but it's all junk food (think pizza, burgers, candy bars, etc.)
It’s usually that second one that gets people into trouble. My advice? 😛First, stick to a low-glycemic index diet until you hit your target weight. The food is varied, mostly slow-burning carbs and high-quality proteins. Once that's set, hit the gym. Aim to pack on maybe 15 or 20 pounds of muscle—you can pull that off in about a year and a half if you're consistent—and just eat clean. I mean, cut out the crap that causes weight gain and try eating smaller meals more frequently. That helps kickstart your metabolism, and once you build up more muscle mass, you'll burn fuel much faster (muscle is way more efficient than fat, and it burns energy even when you're just sitting around). Then, man, you can actually say you made it.
If you let things get to the point where you have more fat than muscle, you're—to put it mildly—screwed. It’s going to take a massive amount of time to get your body back to baseline. Plus, every diet comes with that risk of the yo-yo effect... fast weight loss often just pulls water from your fat cells, but everything else stays...
Just know that getting back to a normal physique and fixing your metabolism isn't child's play, like you said—that you shouldn't go to the gym just because you're going. If you actually want to look decent, you're going to have to put in the work. Being 275 lbs at 5'9" is a pretty tall order. But hey, just keep moving forward.👍
What am I even supposed to say about that. Just keep smoking and don't you dare stop—latest studies actually suggest that marijuana use can extend your lifespan and ward off a whole bunch of different diseases.
So, man, just keep at it.👍
It’s been proven that smoking marijuana every single day hits your short-term memory—not really the long-term stuff... though you'll definitely notice the difference once you quit. Usually, right after you get over the initial cravings, that forgetfulness starts kicking in.
fadedtrucker19 said:Seven joints a day is fifty times more than just one a week... there's really no other way to look at the math...
It's like the difference between knocking back seven shots of whiskey a day—or maybe just one before Sunday lunch...
Just trying to get my bearings here—to establish some kind of perspective...
It doesn't matter how much you smoked or how long you were doing it—my point is that none of it is actually good for you. But then again, if you look at it from a different angle, some people have managed to strike it rich using it. Take Walt Disney, for example... he came up with all those characters—Mickey Mouse, Siljo, Dumbo...—while he was high.😁
Look, man, you really ought to step away from the marijuana - ban drug before it's too late—you'll end up senile just like me😁. I used to smoke like there was no tomorrow—just constant sessions, maybe six or seven hits a day—and looking back... honestly, it didn't do me any favors. Now, I'm completely burnt out and my memory is fading like some old geezer🤣

yogurt, whey, eggs... you can't beat those proteins
Just go with MuscleTech. The whole reason people drink protein shakes is because they hit your system fast—that's why they're the gold standard right after a workout. Honestly, I'd much rather just sit down to some grilled turkey cutlets, but what can you do when it takes 3 or 4 hours for that stuff to actually move from your stomach to your muscles?
If you could just blend my meat into a chocolate-flavored slurry, I'd be drinking it all day long... 😁
