Oh, give me a break, seriously. How many pointless penalties has Lewis taken for absolutely nothing? And now this
little brat playing dirty while fighting for the lead... if there isn't some kind of consequence coming, then I don't know what else to say. 🙂🙂😠

I honestly can't wrap my head around why they called the SC, and what's even more baffling is why it stayed out on the track for such an incredibly long stretch of time.😕😕😕😕

Just one more thing I should mention

If this trend with the tires continues in the upcoming seasons—meaning they just shred themselves instantly—Lewis Hamilton won't stand a chance against Jenson Button. Absolutely none. Without the SC, he would have been lagging 40 to 50 seconds behind Gumby today; instead, he was out front after the first corner and managed to finish without any penalties or collisions.

Get lost, you little piece of junk. It’s barely functional. I actually want a penalty applied here.☕

Let's go, Gumbek... though I wouldn't mind if Hemoš pulled it off too; I actually placed bets on both of them.☕

I don't quite follow, what exactly was Red Bull's "bad decision" here? Are we suggesting it would have been a mistake for Sebastian Vettel to just cruise through to the finish line at a steady pace?

And what else? Was he supposed to just overtake a car that was equally fast right in front of him?🤣

I didn't fully catch everything during the press conference, but there seemed to be some discussion regarding an overtake being labeled as the move of the year.🤷
Was Sebastian Vettel actually claiming that his pass on Fernando Alonso at Monza—while driving a car that was two and a half seconds slower—was the overtake of the year?😢🤣

I was wondering if any of the logic experts here could walk me through how it's possible for someone to hold two consecutive titles without necessarily being the youngest person to achieve two titles?

What a masterclass🙏🙏🙏🙏

Man, if they had been running a car this competitive all season long, I honestly don't doubt for a second that they would have walked away with the title.

Hey everyone, does anyone happen to know what time the race starts tomorrow?

It’s going to be quite interesting to see just how good Vettel really is this time around, especially since we finally have such balanced cars on the grid this year. Personally, I think Hamilton is the clear favorite to take the win, with Button right on his heels in second.

Gumbek is absolutely dominating🙂

Honestly, if we could just manage to secure pole position once in a while, we wouldn't have to constantly invent these elaborate tactical schemes just to scrape our way toward a victory.🙂

Since the era of Michael Schumacher, we haven't seen anyone command a machine quite this dominant.🤷

Whenever someone starts a new thread, I can't help but notice that the fastest lap seems to always belong to Kimi Räikkönen; I get the distinct impression he's the one setting those times🤷

On another note, there have been quite a few other spots mentioned, but this specific button tends to take over

cosmichawk12 said:Well, obviously the cars aren't the same

Of course the mechanics are putting more effort into Vettel's car, working on it more, and he’s getting the better parts—(just look back at Silverstone last year, when they swapped the front wing from Webber's car onto Vettel's without him even knowing, leaving Webber with the older, inferior one)

Which is understandable, really... after all, Vettel is their lead driver, a two-time World Champion, his face is plastered on all the Red Bull promotional shots and advertisements, his name is on the merchandise... it's all quite predictable...

Exactly. On top of that, he almost certainly took a hit to his confidence after last season, plus Vettel himself seems to be driving better than before... though, in my opinion, the gap remains massive. Last year, Webber was essentially outclassing him for nearly the entire season, yet suddenly, that difference has vanished. There were even rumors floating around that their car setups were being tuned differently, and Vettel has clearly adapted much better to the new tire compounds.

Then again, Webber just doesn't have the caliber to have top-tier teams fighting over him, so he chooses to stay with Red Bull Racing. It’s blindingly obvious, though, that the entire team is firmly on Vettel's side, meaning Webber won't achieve anything better than second place—whether we are looking at individual races or the championship standings as a whole.

Mind you, there is always that slim hope that Seb might break a leg, much like what happened in the Forest, which would leave him to fight his way back through pure grit to likely become the World Champion.

Amanda Kelly said:The current setup puts Button in a great spot, giving him some serious—and well-earned—leverage in talks.

He’s an incredibly fast driver who needs a quick car if he wants to stay at the top. Right now, he’s got it. Honestly, I don't even think the drivers are pushing the McLaren to its absolute limit in these last few races. That car is more than ready to win. They’ve clearly made some crucial breakthroughs, either with the aero or tire management (which are basically the same thing anyway), over the last three or four races.

Funny enough, Ross Brawn wasn't even willing to offer him a championship bonus, which actually worked out perfectly for Button.

Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. It’s almost as if Hamilton and his teammate aren't even the most formidable pairing on the grid right now🙄. Sure, Button might lack that singular burst of speed, but then how do we explain why Hamilton—who is arguably the fastest driver out there—is constantly lagging behind Sebastian Vettel in qualifying, often by half a second or more? Not to mention Webber consistently securing front-row starts. The McLaren is good, truly excellent, but the Red Bull crew is operating on another level entirely. It felt like Vettel had a two-second advantage after just the first three corners in Singapore🙄. Honestly, I don't know; if you're enjoying this, more power to you (though I genuinely don't see how), but for me, this is becoming dreadfully tedious. If it weren't for the duo at McLaren, there would be absolutely nothing worth watching.

William Bennett53 said:I don't see where Button could possibly go, given his current form, other than Ferrari or Red Bull. However, Red Bull seems like a questionable choice considering they already have far too many drivers crowded into their camp. Not to mention the fact that Sebastian Vettel, much like Fernando Alonso, doesn't handle internal team rivalry particularly well. Ferrari, on the other hand, is desperate for a top-tier driver and would be a logical choice if he truly wants to switch teams; yet, one has to wonder what happens if Button starts treating Alonso the way he’s treating Hamilton this year...

All things considered, from my perspective, it seems best for Button to stay right where he is. I suspect all this tension regarding the contract and the threats of leaving are merely leverage for negotiations. Then again, wasn't that exactly how things looked at the end of '09 with Brawn?

As far as Button is concerned, it might actually be best if Hamilton continues to get more frustrated until he eventually leaves McLaren; maybe then Button would finally get the respect he deserves. He certainly doesn't deserve to run out of fuel in Turkey or to be called into the pits during qualifying at Monza. Looking at the driving over these last two years—with Sebastian Vettel knocking him out of the title fight last year, and Hamilton almost always sabotaging himself—he really should have been at least an equal, if not the lead driver. Regardless of how much McLaren talks about parity, let's be real: those two are anything but equals. Besides, would Button ever even seriously consider leaving McLaren?

Let the races start in reverse order of the current championship standings.
So, for example, Sebastian Vettel would start last in the next race, Jenson Button would be second to last, and so on—while the HRT fans and Virgin fans would actually be sitting right there in the front two spots!
Now, that would certainly make things interesting—talk about a party!
☕ 😁

That is a brilliant idea. We would just have to award points to everyone, because otherwise, there would be no point in finishing 11th, since everyone from 11th down to 25th would be fighting tooth and nail to finish last instead.

P.S. Chill out. No point getting worked up over nothing.🙂

Well, you have to consider that once the Safety Car came out and things started slowing down, the gaps shifted. Just a few seconds before the collision, they were showing some significant deficits, with gaps of about 18 seconds appearing.
