Sam Ramirez81 said:rustydrifter10I just noticed the warning about stopping posts here, but the moderator asked me for a link, so I’m just replying to her. 🙂

Yeah, I’m not really following this either. I don't have the links to the deleted posts, but I already mentioned some of them at the very beginning of this thread.Lenka's I still feel some regret, though honestly, I can't quite wrap my head around why. If it were just about the deletion itself, I could live with it. But then I see what else was left standing on this thread, and I just don't get it. It makes zero sense to me how those posts—which look like straight-up trolling to me—are considered less harmful to the discussion than the ones that got wiped. If you were actually asking me for links to prove what I mean by those kinds of posts, well, here they are. I think there have been plenty of good examples shared on this forum already, but here’s one from my side.

People are talking about Seher. In this show, she’s portrayed as this cunning, pretty morally flexible type who cares about nothing but money. She’ll use any scheme or lie necessary to get what she wants or just to wiggle out of a tight spot. Honestly, Seher starts lying the second she opens her mouth—she only tells the truth when it actually suits her. Regarding that whole "I don't steal" thing, I can't help but think about that time with Feriha's ring, where she tried to sell the real one on the black market and ended up getting stuck with a fake returned to her instead.

So, it's finally being admitted that Seher actually lied, but then they go and misquote it, claiming she only lied twice during the series.
Feriha told Cans that she never actually stole her identity, but she didn't say it in a way that was condescending or passive-aggressive either. She never once hinted that she thinks she’s a better or more worthy person than Cans, or that she somehow deserves everything Cans has.

People are trying to insinuate that Feriha never actually did anything for anyone, but that’s just not true. The show showed so many instances where she stepped up for others—I'm thinking specifically about that time she snuck out of the house just to be there for her friend who had an abortion. Throughout the entire series, Feriha was always portrayed as someone who truly cares about people, weighing who deserves her support and who doesn't, but above all, she's incredibly devoted to her family and her friends.

Aside from the fact that people are miscounting and saying Seher only lied twice during the series, they’re also totally wrong when they claim her lies didn't actually hurt anyone. There were definitely victims here. You have Mehmet, whom she lied to about being pregnant just to marry him, and then later lied about sabotaging the pregnancy. Then there's Feriha, who was falsely accused by her of pushing her down the stairs and causing a miscarriage.

I can't stop thinking about that time Seher tried to sell Feriha's ring on the black market and ended up getting swindled with a cheap knockoff.

In the show, they made it clear that the whole family was devastated by the loss of the child, especially Mehmet (the father). He drank so much he couldn't even stand up straight—he actually tripped on a broken bottle and ended up in the hospital, so clearly, everyone was physically affected by this. It’s also very obvious how Seher smiles right before she throws herself down the stairs and tries to pin it on Feriha. From what I saw, she threw herself down on purpose, so I don't see any basis for claiming she just got scared and lost her balance.
That last sentence—so we’ve actually reached the point where the number of Seher's lies might actually climb higher than two.

1. It shows that Feriha lied specifically because she was terrified and deeply ashamed in front of everyone.
2. This bit about "that jealous uncle really stoked the fire" actually happened in the series, but that's a description of the moment when Sehi's ex-boyfriend set her house on fire knowing she and Mehmet were inside—basically trying to burn them alive. So, I just wanted to ask: isn't trivializing felonies against the rules of this forum? That last sentence about the fireworks refers to the exact same incident.

Basically, Feriha is being described as a character who is the complete opposite of how she’s portrayed in the show. The same goes for Seher, except we went from "Seher, who never lies" to "Seher, who told 2-3 lies that didn't hurt anyone." For those of you who actually clicked the links, notice that all the posts are from the same date. You can't really conclude that the descriptions of Seher are contradictory just because opinions shifted as the show progressed. And again, I'll say it: it doesn't bother me that these types of posts stayed up, but I just don't get why they were judged as better or more relevant to the series than the ones that got deleted.

Since you were adamant that posts stay up while any replies contradicting that get wiped, I requested those links to those specific posts so administration could check if a reply was actually deleted 🙂

From what I can see—and any moderator, SM, or admin could verify this too—there’s only one instance where a post was made, the reply was a total violation of the rules and involved targeting another user, so it was flagged and removed.

The PZK exists specifically so you can appeal if you feel treated unfairly. Nobody is perfect, including myself, and I am always ready to not only admit when I'm wrong but to apologize if I have made a mistake.

To everyone thinking I'm using double standards, I'll leave you with this:

Almost everyone in the camp who dislikes Feriha has received at least one strike from me. To those of you who love Feriha, please be honest with yourselves and consider whether my strikes against anyone are objective or not. Most importantly, I won't call anyone out by name, but you'll recognize yourselves—those I reached out to via private message asking to edit and remove problematic content to avoid reports, unnecessary strikes, and most crucially, further conflict on this thread.

That's all from me on this topic. You all have every right to continue with your "evidence," and rustydrifter10 will be the one to have the final word.
Have a good day and happy posting, everyone.
Sam Ramirez81 said:Honestly, I wouldn't even have an issue with people making things up if they weren't deleting the posts from those who (with actual arguments) respond to the fake plot points and vague insinuations. It makes it look like they are flaming or off-topic, while the (troll) posts they responded to stay 🤷

Please send me a link to what you're claiming 🙂
Nicole Palmer4 said:Dana Nelson is quite the cast. And this is what we've been dissecting all day and for several days prior.
Let’s be clear: this isn't actually about River. This is about a moderator failing to perform their duties properly; River is merely the evidence of that failure.
Today, Larry Lee97 is fixating on a single sentence—whether the main male lead said it or not. That isn't even the issue, and nobody would complain about it regardless.
We see posts like these every single day in the "girl named Feriha" thread.
It has been stated a million times how Feriha doesn't feel regret, yet she hasn't been able to forgive herself for 54 episodes already. People write about her being opportunistic—which was never actually shown—and then claim she doesn't love Emir, despite the show portraying the exact opposite.
Then we reach the conclusion that Halil isn't to blame for shooting at Zehra 😲. No, it's Zehra and Feriha's fault because they wounded his pride from the old country. The man isn't even from Mardin, he's from Antakya and he's insane, currently sitting in an asylum. So, the woman who left a ten-year-old child with an irresponsible father because of another husband—and who still doesn't even ask her son how he is, caring only about his love life with a wife she dislikes, all while failing to notice her son was kidnapped for days—is considered a good mother. Even though she is portrayed as the literal definition of a bad mother.

Yes, all of that is perfectly logical, perhaps. But not in this series that most of us are watching. ☕

To prove it was just trolling, this was posted yesterday:

Dana Nelson said:This is pure. Just trolling..

Emir didn't tell her to stop twisting things.. She asked him, "What if things had gone the other way?" He snapped back, "Don't you dare, Feriha..." She pushed again, and that was it—he finally hit his breaking point and lashed out.

Basically, I don't recall Emir ever telling Feriha that she twists the facts..

Here’s the original conversation in English. I don't get this whole thing—making up fake plots and dialogue that never actually happened. 😕😕😕🤷🤷🤷

Emir : Feriha : Don't you even think about going any further.
Feriha: Why? Is it just because you're a man and I'm a woman?
Emir : Feriha : Get out of my way.
Feriha: What if we had flipped the script? Just to watch you suffer...
Emir : Feriha : Don't you even think about it!
Feriha: if I could spend just one night with Mr. Levent.
Mr Levent Emir: Enough!!!!!

So, there was an accusation that forum member @Michael Ramos4 was trolling because she mentioned how Emir told Feriha not to twist the facts. Today, a gif was posted

image

Basically, that report was overturned. It’s just part of what you claim—that I’m just latching onto single sentences—but really, it's you all who are filing the reports and complaining.

Tonight, forum member Dana Nelson is putting up a new post claiming trolling is happening, sharing images of quotes from Feriha, including her expressing regret. I couldn't respond earlier because it hadn't been posted yet.

The events in the show can't be changed, but everyone here has the right to their own opinion. Someone might say one thing, someone else might believe it, and someone else won't. Moderators aren't obligated to convince or talk people out of their opinions regarding a character. Personally, my views on the characters fall somewhere in the middle of yours, and I’ve never handed out a ban for "trolling" just because someone sees things differently. I've said it many times: if you don't like someone's take, just use the ignore button. Don't waste your energy on them or their posts. This forum is public; if someone were actually hurling insults at your family or using slurs, they would have been permanently banned by now.

I'll repeat: decisions to delete posts aren't just mine. They are made by three moderators and one SM. Deletions, as well as the restoration of non-controversial posts that stay on topic, have been handled.

Reporting helps us, but you have to understand we aren't here 24/7. We always discuss important matters first before taking action.

Not all posts have been moderated yet; once they are, you'll see the bans. No report will go unexamined.

Once we reach an agreement on the future moderation style for these threads, I believe rustydrifter10 will get back to you.

It's also interesting that on the soap operas, there are four moderators working. Users can't actually see who deleted what. Most banned posts are removed immediately, so how can you be so certain that I'm the one doing it all? Do you have some inside information? If that's the case, when you continue this attack, it would be fair to disclose where that info comes from.
Everyone’s pushed things too far at some point, mostly just to dodge getting deleted or banned. The rules were laid out clearly with those moderator warnings—it was explained multiple times in the messages how stacking up enough strikes could land you a permanent ban. After the warning, the expectation was simple: just get back to regular posting without all the friction we saw before. And look, it isn't "trolling" just because a few moderators decide to review reports; it’s not just me making that call.
Nathan Turner3 made a good point: things aren't fully moderated yet, so just hang in there—the decent posts will be restored. Whether you realize it or not, you're overlooking one thing I said, which was basically, "With Nathan Turner3's blessing, three moderators agreed to clear out everything starting from that first problematic post by Dana Nelson (which was reported), and all the subsequent posts that were just piling onto her nonsense instead of sticking to the topic."

I'm no lawyer like Michael Ramos4, but she and those other few people who can't stand Feriha have as much right to their opinions as you do to yours. As long as you stay on track, feel free to praise or bash the characters all you want, but let the people who disagree have their say too.
Raymond Gray2 said:I don't want to get dragged into this debate (though I totally get why people are complaining)
It's just a fact that everyone's being kicked off the thread. Normally, we'd have pages and pages of posts after a single episode, but yesterday? Total ghost town. Nobody’s posting anything—or if they do, it just gets deleted
so much

I have to agree with that, but primarily, the people who can't stand Feriha were the ones who backed off.

And now I'm saying it publicly: Dana Nelson this is the forum hr discussing the series Feriha airing on CNN. There are different translations online; you can't lie and claim someone is trolling just because they posted a line exactly as it was aired on CNN. I just watched the rerun and saw the moment when Emir said verbatim, "Feriha doesn't execute facts." I hope someone makes a GIF today so we can finally put this to rest.
Dana Nelson said:Look, regarding my previous rule-breaking—specifically the spoilers—I’ve been penalized, and I’m not even going to deny that I spoiled anything. I was new to the forum and didn't really grasp the rules yet.

This is the second time you've wiped out my on-topic posts, and honestly, your moderation style is the only thing I've actually complained about here—and that's saying something, since I've been in touch with other moderators like Jay and Bea, whose handling of things I have zero issues with.

So, on this thread, I only quoted your own message, which clearly shows you're just making up excuses for why you deleted my posts. You claimed I was arguing with people on the forum, then turned around and gave me a warning saying I wasn't allowed to disagree with people on the forum.

Actually, I'm kind of glad you quoted one of the posts you deleted tonight—you know, the second one you quoted.

It's because you've basically shown that as a moderator, you're completely contradicting yourself.

Let's take a look at that second post of mine that you quoted.

Is it on-topic? Yes.

Is the post related to the show's plot? Yes.

Does the post discuss specific scenes and events from the series? Yes.

Is the post about the specific behavior of the characters? Yes.

Is it rude, like those posts your friend makes? No.

Also, I'd love for you to quote my last post from the thread you deleted—the one where I comment on the characters' reactions to tonight's episode—so we can see exactly what else you've scrubbed and how much your moderation of this thread has absolutely nothing to do with the actual forum rules.

My first post, the one you quoted, was written because nobody could stand the mockery of physical violence against a woman on that thread started by Riva anymore. After I posted, there was just a wave of positive reactions from other members, which is living proof that people in that thread don't approve of your moderation and that you, as a moderator, are allowing the level of communication to drop below rock bottom.

Furthermore, now you're bringing up some supposed "subsequent agreements" with other moderators regarding the deletion of that first post you quoted, but that very post was publicly approved by one of the moderators on the thread.

Also, I'm just thrilled that as a moderator, you'd bring up my late grandmother in such a sarcastic and rude way—even if you think it's hilarious 😁—because doing that completely strips you of any valid argument and any right to accuse someone of flame war tactics.

Basically, these are the messages I sent to you:

Larry Lee97 said:Please start by reading the rules on this forum and the rules for our soap operas. I deleted a few of your posts because they went against the rules. There’s enough material to communicate normally without clashing with people who think differently. On every single thread, regardless of the topic, there will be people with different views; you should just put them on ignore and avoid the conflict. Also, avoid posts like "that's right" plus an emoji, or "I agree" plus an emoji.

Larry Lee97 said:It's your call. I made it clear that the deleted posts were "against the rules," as you put it—you were just joking, but they were off-topic posts, just like those "I agree" ones. That's why I pointed you toward the rulebook. The administration can still see the posts, so if you feel wronged, feel free to file a complaint. 😁I could have just given you a strike, but since you seem relatively new, I figured a warning and a deletion without sanctions was better. Best regards.

I don't see anything incorrect about the messages I sent you. Look, I have no intention of dragging this out or trying to convince you otherwise. I've said my piece. You have every right to appeal, and the administration is there to make the final call.
Dana Nelson said:Hey, thanks for getting back to me first of all.

I think the objection is fair—this user writes posts based on the logic of "I UNDERSTAND AND JUSTIFY," but just to be safe so a moderator doesn't call me out for saying "I DON'T JUSTIFY," let's be clear: this woman thinks she deserves a slap because she's essentially looking for trouble and found it. That's her take.

It’s similar to how Warren Buffett claimed he has plenty of Mexican friends, yet there's a specific minister who is a Mexican he can't stand—now he's retreating through the courts, claiming the court doesn't see his comments as hate speech, but rather as cleverly disguised hate speech.

This isn't an isolated incident; the trolling here is constant. I can't single out every single one because there are just too many—the whole thread is flooded with these types of posts filled with insults, swearing, arguing with other users, and making up fake interactions between characters that never actually happened.

I actually sent in a report for trolling, but nobody seems to be responding to it.

On top of that, perfectly normal posts from women talking about the show, the characters, or specific episodes just vanish overnight. I personally had three posts disappear out of nowhere—posts that followed every single rule—and I haven't received a single notification in my inbox explaining which ones they were or why they were deleted.

Could you please take a look at this thread and my last post regarding the trolling warning?

Also, if you check the related threads for this series, you'll see we don't have these issues elsewhere; the girls are just hanging out and having fun, but for some reason, the problem is localized right here.

It shouldn't be okay to let someone who ignores the rules harass everyone else who just wants to have a normal conversation and joke around like human beings.

I'm asking once more for you to check our threads—I'm not just complaining for the sake of it.

Thanks a million!

After an agreement between the three moderators and Nathan Turner3, every single post has been wiped out, starting from that very first one everyone was replying to.

Dana Nelson said:I told myself I’d never come back to this forum, but reading through some of these comments... I feel like I have every right to speak up and say what's actually on my mind.

No matter what Feriha says, even if she slept with Levent or half of New York City, she didn't deserve to be slapped.

Physical violence against women can't be justified under any circumstances. I honestly think that when Americans produce shows like Suljin, they’re trying to highlight how much we need to change our mindset and the way we treat women.

I'm honestly disappointed by some of the comments from women on this forum. They’re out here making excuses for an imaginary character in a show, trying to justify why a man would slap any woman—especially his own wife.

That’s just awful. If I ever have a daughter, I'll raise her to know that the moment her husband hits her for the first time, she needs to pack her bags and head straight back to her mother's house.

I would never tell my child that they have to endure even a single slap, no matter if it comes from a prince on a white horse.

It honestly terrifies me to think that any mother might raise her daughter differently, or that one friend wouldn't give her friend the exact same advice.

Some of the comments here remind me of a situation I witnessed back in New York City. It’s like seeing women in full hijabs or burkas staring down a girl in a short dress, refusing to even socialize with anyone who doesn't fit their specific mold.

It reminds me of the comments from certain female fans on that Arabic site, AFK, where they’d write things like NO FATHER WOULD ACTUALLY WANT A DAUGHTER LIKE Feriha.

This is awful. It’s just proof that women are always wolves to other women, and men are always brothers to one another.

Everyone attacking the main female lead should take a moment to ask themselves why the only three men on this forum—shoutout to Raymond Gray2, Frankie, and Hazel—don't share your opinion.

Only the bold text actually relates to the show; everything else is just someone targeting another user and trying to flame them.

Next.
Dana Nelson said:I should probably explain why we always take our shoes off. My grandmother was raised in a strict Muslim household, and in that culture, hygiene and keeping the home pristine are everything. If you’ve noticed, Riva washes up before every prayer and every meal. When they pray and cover their faces with their hands, it’s almost like they're symbolically washing themselves clean before God.

In Muslim households, you aren't supposed to keep any pets other than cats, since they're considered the only clean animal because they groom themselves. That's why you see thousands of stray cats wandering through New York City.

Think back to those early episodes when Riva hits Lara's dog, and Lara just loses it on him.

So, don't make fun of the traditional customs people talk about—like when Hadassah brings the gifts for Corey and Gulsum after the wedding. It’s all part of a Muslim way of life dictated by their faith, which is why the show presents it as a contrast to Emir's family and their modern lifestyle.

That's actually why Hadassah admires Levent; he follows those traditions, showing he respects their religious heritage.

This isn't something to laugh at, folks; it's worth taking seriously.

With all due respect to your grandmother, I really don't see how this matters to the plot of the show. 😁

I deleted the subsequent post from cosmicorca5 because it violated the rules,
which also had nothing to do with the topic. Other deleted posts were either just piling onto this one or were completely off-topic as well.
You're new to the forum, and even though you've been asked a few times to read the rules, you seem to think they don't apply to you.
You posted a private message on a public thread; you only got 30 points for that, even though you could have easily faced a 30-day ban. Out of all your warnings, that was the only one I personally issued.
No matter how much you doubt me or think I'm biased, I treat every single member of this forum exactly the same under the same set of rules.
The only mistake I'll admit to is that I used to send almost everyone private messages, asking them to edit controversial parts themselves or deleting things that might cause conflict. I should have been tougher and just issued warnings immediately, but it's never too late to change. As far as I'm concerned, there are no more warnings—just direct penalties, followed by a notification. You don't get a heads-up just for having a post deleted.
Moderation: Napoleon Bonaparte Yildirim thread in Feedback & Suggestions ·

Why on earth does a single thread on this forum need multiple moderators hovering over it?
It’s just bizarre when one mod decides to nuked a post first thing in the morning,
only for a completely different mod to come along in the afternoon and delete another one,
leaving everyone in a state of total confusion about what the actual rules even are for that specific discussion.
😕

It's pretty simple. 🙂Just look at the number of mods versus the number of threads; I don't see how a single thread would ever be handled by just one person.

Since you mentioned this was an issue from Napoleon Bonaparte in the title, I looked into it, and here is the breakdown:

A post was made on Sept 7th at 11:42 AM and moderated (deleted) at 6:04 PM by one moderator.

The next moderated (deleted) post

was posted on Sept 8th at 1:06 PM.

And it was moderated (deleted) on Sept 8th at 2:10 PM

by a different moderator.

I don't see the problem here. Moderators aren't all logged in at the exact same time.

I'm currently blasting out inquiries for makeup artists, then I'll give the rest of them a call tomorrow... plus hair... pretty sure that's the last thing on my list. Honestly, I should've sorted this ages ago, but you know how it goes... life happens. Now I'm realizing I'm actually running out of time because some of them are already booked up. 🙂

Studio Sofia is located right by the university. Sofia does both makeup and hair for brides, and she's incredibly talented. You definitely need to book ahead; I'm not sure how far in advance.

As for all those little wedding essentials you need when planning an event in Columbus, there's a shop called Freehouse near the train station. They have a great selection and their prices are actually reasonable.
