rapidpanther41 said:I honestly don't get you. Why are you stressing out just because they won't buy into your magic potion? Just move on and hope they change their minds later.☕

Here we go again with the goalpost shifting. You guys do this constantly.
I’m not joking around. My father doesn't have psoriasis anymore, and neither do my twins. You're the one dealing with it.

If someone needs to lose their mind over this, it’s probably you.

I'm not nervous. I'm just responding to people making comments about me—you know, the ones acting like they're perfectly calm and don't get worked up at all.

Look, if you want to talk about what watermelon actually tastes like, you have to eat some first. Trying to debate the flavor without even tasting it is just absurd.
If you guys would just actually listen to people who have actually eaten watermelon—people who know firsthand whether it works or not—this conversation would be a lot more productive.

Like this?

Hey.

Only those who hang in there until the very end will be saved.

I really appreciate you guys taking my issues seriously and actually engaging with them.

I just don't get what your issue is here.

And frankly, I'm worried you don't see it either.

Best,

amberbear87 said:Exactly, that’s why I joined this forum in the first place.

Even after pulling an all-nighter reading through, say, half of 1,700 posts, all I could tell my friend the next morning was two things—one bad, one good. Since she wanted the bad news first, I told her there’s no cure. The good news? She isn't going to die.
I actually sat down with a notepad and started listing medications that people were praising, all the "happy" stories. But then, a few posts later, I'd see someone else whose condition worsened on that exact same thing... so I'd cross it off.

...

I think you lied to her about both. Saying there’s no cure is just your take on things. Either you didn't read everything carefully, or you misunderstood something.
As for the second thing you told her, I have no comment unless you meant she won't die from psoriasis (meaning the disease doesn't end in death, as specialists say). If that’s what you meant, you used too extreme a word just to comfort her a little. In my opinion, anyway.

On what basis did you decide that because a product helped one person but made another worse, it would definitely fail your friend, leading you to permanently cross it off your list? Are you consciously taking responsibility for your advice to her? What if that specific product is the one that actually works for her? You can never know for sure.
That kind of thinking isn't going to help anyone.

👋 This one is called "double W." I honestly don't get it.

Or maybe like this: just wanted to say hi to everyone, feeling pretty good. jadesailor14, you're an absolute angel.

Just a quick hello to everyone.

Great. Just great.

pardon, either I missed something or I totally misread the situation. That little green guy waving hello (since I couldn't find your little yellow guy with legs waving back).
I don't bother learning what the emoticons are called, I just look at them.
My bad if I messed up and offended anyone.

👋 to you too, I'm honestly 👋

jadesailor14, you're being a total 🙂

It’s great that you two finally got on the same page regarding how things should be handled.

I think most people here expect a different response from moderators when someone drops a malicious post meant to insult individuals or entire groups of members.
Instead, we just get sympathy for the person being abusive.

Just my personal take again: this forum doesn't belong to jadesailor14. She's just the moderator tasked with keeping this place at a certain standard.

Best regards

Octa and his family are doing fine. He travels a lot and is always tied up with work. His psoriasis is mostly under control now, just a little bit acting up on his elbows.

amberbear87 said:Since I've read over 30 pages of this forum in just a day and a half, I might have a slightly better overview than the long-time members here. This is just my personal take, but I'm pretty convinced all these patients Michael Ramos3 talks about are actually just his aliases. I figured that out from the general vibe and, more importantly, certain little details. So, right off the bat, I’d ask him not to waste his time typing away or trying to push his miracle cure on me.
Big Pharma makes money off drugs, sure, but those things require years of research and testing before they hit the market, and they have to clear a hundred different commissions just to get approved. I'm talking about serious medications that require a prescription. (Not like here, where you can buy anything if you've got the cash, though having cash doesn't guarantee you won't end up with some cheap Chinese sh*t). The only references you get are from illiterate herbalists and old wives: "Oh, some guy—my second cousin's uncle's neighbor, a true story, why would family lie?—he was cured overnight after doctors gave up on him."
The only thing I agree with Michael Ramos3 on is the stuff about photos... that really isn't any kind of guarantee.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I highly doubt it. Just speaks from my experience of nearly 11 years lurking on various internet forums.

I'm really happy for you, having 11 years of experience navigating various internet forums. That's a wonderful and irreplaceable life skill that probably helps you out a lot in daily life. It's nice of you to try and help a friend through her suffering.

It's also nice that you saved me the trouble of wondering if you were bored. Thanks a lot.

If you could clarify the situation and the dynamics of this forum a bit more, since you claim to have a better overview than those of us who have been here longer. It would be great if you shared that expertise so we could also gain the "power" to recognize an "alias." Maybe you're someone's alias right now, maybe mine, or maybe there are more on this forum. That would be both nice and useful from you.

I think you went a little (but only a little) too far in your OTHER post on this forum by accusing someone of "pushing" something on someone else. But it's not that big of a deal.

You insulted the people on this forum a bit (who are herbalists, since they make preparations from herbs and use them) by calling them illiterate and random, when they are actually veteran members of this community.

It's also nice how much trust you place in pharmaceutical products that are verified and heavily certified. You can pass your compliments directly to them via their official websites (you have plenty of experience with that, as you mentioned).

I'm just worried about one thing (again, just my personal opinion, but I'm almost certain because I have some life experience dealing with people, especially sick people): I'm afraid that with an attitude like yours, you won't be of much help to your friend.

So, I suggest you just print out all 69 humble pages of this forum for her, hand them over personally, and let her draw her own conclusions based on her own experience and intuition. 👍

Best regards to everyone.

Hey there.

There’s already been plenty of back-and-forth about the photography issue. Look, I’m not trying to pull any strings or dictate anyone else's choices. Everyone should just follow their own gut and conscience.
My take? Any ten-year-old with an internet connection can download any image they want and edit it to fit whatever narrative they're pushing. With modern photo manipulation, we wouldn't stand a chance at spotting the intent behind it.
Plus, experience tells me that even if the photos actually got released, a huge chunk of people would still be nitpicking and looking for reasons to be suspicious.

Bottom line: It's unlikely those photos will ever see the light of day—at least not on a large scale. That leaves you to make a call based on other factors, or maybe find a way to get the forum members to step up, take their own shots, and show you themselves. If they did that, would it change your mind?

Maria Chavez55 said:Hey everyone,
even if we haven't been talking much lately, I still want to ask a question I forgot to bring up with my doctors.
Is it possible to have both psoriasis vulgaris and guttate psoriasis at the same time?

I think that old forum regular "Okto" actually dealt with exactly that.

It’s worth pointing out that this is just your subjective take on how things are going on this forum. It doesn't necessarily reflect the actual facts, much like my view or anyone else's.

Maria Doyle27 said:Here is the latest they gave me for my psoriasis (which is tied up with Bechterev disease): Methotrexate for six months and three shots of Extencel over three months because they found strep in my system. Usually, my psoriasis hasn't been letting up at all for the last year or so.

I have a buddy who deals with Bechterev disease; he’s getting treated at the Military Hospital. They say he’s one of the few doctors there actually specializing in this stuff. If you guys need some info, I can put you in touch.

Gentlemen greetings.

Don't act like that.

There's no reason to ever lose hope.
What could people say who are battling much worse illnesses, or find themselves in truly life-altering situations?

Your situation isn't even that extreme. Just keep pushing forward.

Have FAITH.

I’m noticing, and honestly starting to worry, that this forum gets quieter every single day.

Is there maybe nothing left to say on these pages after all???

Good morning.

Since Oct hasn't shared his official, final results regarding yesterday's heavy and unexplained situation yet.
I'll try reaching out to him on his cell.

God bless,

This is a great product. I’d recommend it to all my friends for daily use.
Better off using that hand cream mentioned above.

Hey.

Legally, they can't ban you from swimming or deny you access to any public facility—that's straight-up discrimination.

I also think avoiding public pools altogether is solid, smart advice.

Best, and keep fighting.
