Take a look at Ellie Parker (2005).......not even because of the plot, but strictly for her performance.
It’s the perfect showcase of her sheer talent.....
Out of that whole early 90s Seattle scene, Alice in Chains were always my personal favorites, though Soundgarden was right there on their heels.
I still remember back in '94 during that huge Britpop craze; I was spinning Superunknown on repeat, honestly vibing with it way more than anything else making waves on this side of the Atlantic.
I'm on the hunt! If anyone happens to have one of these gathering dust and wants to part with it, let me know.
Dead Can Dance - SACD Box Set (2008)
https://www.discogs.com/Dead-Can-Dan...elease/1389096It would be absolutely perfect if you still have it sealed in Mint condition, though I’m definitely open to Near Mint discs too—provided I can give them a quick once-over in person first.
I am also looking for individual SACD releases from Spleen & Ideal, Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun, and The Serpents Egg.
The same rules apply to those as well.
Joy Division - Amsterdam (CD) /unofficial/ - FAC (PRO1)
Recorded live at the Paradiso in Amsterdam on January 11th, 1980. Think of it like finding a lost reel of studio footage from a classic Motown session—pure lightning in a bottle.

$67
I'm also open to a trade if you have something interesting on the table. I've got my eye on a few specific titles.

I haven't listed any prices because I'm really looking to trade for everything mentioned above. It's more about the swap than the cash for me.
As far as what these records are actually worth, you can easily see the going rates on those links provided.
They show the average market value for these pressings—except for those two The Police 7" singles, which come from that special box set and can be found individually too.
Looking for: 12" singles or LPs (1980s era - new wave / post-punk / synth-pop / electro / goth)
Specifically hunting for New Order - Murder / Thieves Like Us (instrumental)
https://www.discogs.com/New-Order-Murder/release/105544And some various 12" singles from Depeche Mode.
Located in downtown Chicago—happy to meet up for an in-person handoff.
I’m on the hunt for a solid, pre-owned turntable; ideally, I'd love to track down a Technics SL-Q202.
The reason I’m eyeing this specific model is pretty simple—I actually have one right now that’s been a total workhorse for me over the last few years. It’s still running like a dream, but I figure there's no harm in grabbing a backup while the first one is still in its prime. It’s like having a spare tire in your trunk; you don't think about it until you really need it.
That said, I’m definitely open to other similar Technics models if the deal is right, specifically looking at the SL-Q2 or the SLD 202.
If you have something available, please shoot me a private message.
Thanks!

I was just scrolling through Discogs and honestly, my jaw hit the floor...

It looks like "The Queen is Dead" actually got a US release after all, and I’m starting to think
I might have completely missed out on this one entirely.....😁
It's wild how they managed to get this released with a three-year delay... that's two years after the band had already called it quits. Talk about perfect timing....😁
This is easily the movie of the year. Denzel Washington has finally proven he’s absolutely untouchable when he’s playing in his own backyard—doing exactly what he does best.
The Oscar should be a total lock... fingers crossed.

Pre-owned gear. It’s about 2 years old and still holds up quite nicely...
I am also open to trading these for some vinyl records. We can talk details!
The Triffids - Born Sandy Devotional (1986) (LP)
https://www.discogs.com/The-Triffids...release/628696
NM / NM
This is an original US pressing.
$27
I might be open to a trade if you have something similar on vinyl... we can talk about it depending on what you're offering.
Ray Milland in The Lost Weekend, William Holden in Sunset Boulevard, and Jack Lemmon in The Apartment or something like IT hot...
Is there actually anything in modern cinema that can even come close to those kinds of masterclass performances?
Sisters Of Mercy - Temple Of Love (12" single) (US) (first edition)
https://www.discogs.com/The-Sisters-...release/239604vinyl: VG+

I'm open to trades if the right thing comes along.
My focus is strictly on the classics: 80s new-wave, post-punk, goth, synth-pop, or electro (12" singles and LPs). Think of it like a curated museum of shadows and synthesizers.
Local pickup available in downtown Chicago.
Alright, I’ll go ahead and spoil the surprise for anyone planning to sit down and write out the full soundtrack list:
The movie soundtrack album was released by Columbia Records on 18 March 2016. The track listing is as follows:
"Rock n Roll" (Dialogue) – Jack Reynor
"Stay Clean" – Motörhead
"The Riddle of the Model" – Sing Street
"Rio" – Duran Duran
"Up" – Sing Street
"To Find You" – Sing Street
"Town Called Malice" – The Jam
"Between Days" – The Cure
"A Beautiful Sea" – Sing Street
"Maneater" – Hall & Oates
"Steppin' Out" – Joe Jackson
"Drive It Like You Stole It" – Sing Street
"Up" (Bedroom Mix) – Sing Street
"Pop Muzik" – M
"Girls" – Sing Street
"Brown Shoes" – Sing Street
"Go Now" – Adam Levine
Feel free to ignore that last bit......🙄
Essentially, this is just the official soundtrack. If you listen closely during the actual film, you can catch snippets of those "hidden gems," much like this one:
Flash & The Pan - Waiting for a Train (1983)
PS: My favorite little moment has to be when they're watching American Bandstand together, and the older brother explains to the main character how John Taylor is "the most amazing bass player ever."
Sadly, movies like this are rare....extremely rare......for us 80s fans who crave that precise, magical atmosphere of that era.
Mike Francis - Let`s Not Talk About It (LP) (1984)
https://www.discogs.com/Mike-Francis...release/477233This particular Italian pressing is in fantastic shape. Really well-preserved.
It’s the debut from a total legend of the disco scene. Think of it like the foundational blueprint for an entire era of dance music.
A true genre classic. An absolute essential for any collector.
Vinyl - VG+
Cover - NM
I'm open to trading this for other vinyl releases if we can find a good match. Just let me know what you have.
Local pickup is available in downtown Chicago.
Price - $60

I’m really digging this.
Mucho bueno. 😁
The transition from Don't You Want Me into Keep Feeling Fascination is spot on. Honestly, though, that segue from Do or Die at the 06:39 mark? Pure gold. It’s like finding a perfectly timed green light when you're running late for dinner. Just smooth.
By any chance, does anyone know who actually puts these audio/video mixes together??
Looking to buy some 80s vinyl collections. I’m specifically hunting for synth-pop, new wave, post-punk, electropop, and indie gems.
Only interested in international artists.
I have a real preference for 12" maxi singles and foreign pressings.
Since we’ve decided to reboot this thread, let's circle back to the very early days of this format...
Patrick Juvet - I Love America (extended 12" version) (1978)Now, look, this isn't exactly a record I'd pick to sit on the pedestal of my collection, but man, you just can't ignore nearly fourteen minutes of this absolute extravaganza... and honestly, having that limited edition blue vinyl doesn't hurt either...😁

Available for purchase
The Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always

Looking to pick up some vinyl collections from the 80s—really hunting for that specific era of synth-pop, new wave, post-punk, electropop, and indie vibes.
I’m strictly interested in international artists only.
My heart is set on 12" maxi singles and those authentic overseas pressings.
