I don't even know where to start with this one. Seriously. How are we even supposed to process everything that's happening right now? It feels like every time I turn around, there's another headline or another massive shift in how things work in this country, and honestly, it’s just exhausting. Does anyone else feel that weight? That constant, nagging sense that the ground is shifting under our feet? I was sitting there thinking about it earlier—just staring at my screen, wondering if anyone actually sees what's going on. Is it just me? Am I overthinking the whole situation? Because it feels like we're all just trying to keep our heads above water while the waves keep getting bigger. It’s heavy. It really is. Just... heavy. kaže:
I honestly can't wrap my head around how anyone could actually buy into this nonsense. I mean, seriously? What is this "macrobiotic diet" craze all about? And the claims about boosting your immune system? Or those ridiculous arguments about seasonal issues with fruit or dairy? It’s just absurd. Who on earth convinced you that people following a macrobiotic lifestyle are somehow less prone to getting sick or have some kind of superhuman immune system compared to everyone else? Where are you even getting this stuff from? Honestly, where do people find the nerve to peddle such blatant garbage? It’s just unbelievable.

Look, there’s actual evidence behind all of this. Real, empirical proof. Why not just dive in and see for yourself? Give it a shot.
Look, what I just laid out there? That’s really just scratching the surface. It's only one piece of the puzzle! Of course there's so much more to it than that. We aren't just talking about sticking to an AFC diet—it’s about everything else too. Sleep, physical activity, lifestyle habits... you name it. There is so much more to consider if you actually want to see results.
I’ll be honest—I’ve never been a fan of that "pill for every ill" mentality. You know what I mean? That whole approach where conventional medicine just rushes to mask the symptoms without actually looking at the bigger picture? It feels like we're just putting a Band-Aid on a broken bone sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I think both worlds have their place. There are times when you need the heavy hitters, but there are also times when you need something more holistic. Both alternative and conventional methods have had their wins, right? If it feels like alternative medicine doesn't get as much credit or shows fewer "big wins," isn't that just because way fewer people are actually out there practicing it? It’s simple math, really. It's not about effectiveness; it's just about how common the practice is.
I mean, I just can't wrap my head around the idea that illnesses are this simple thing—you know, just some random parasite invading the body or a little biochemical glitch? It feels so reductive. Like, are we really going to boil everything down to just basic physiology and call it a day? I don't buy it. Is it really that straightforward? I don't think it is.
So, what about you guys? How are you planning to handle this... how do you even want to approach it?
Science, at least the way we see it today? It just doesn't have any stomach for alternatives. It really doesn't. Why? Because it’s terrified of being proven wrong! It’s like there's this massive, built-in resistance to anything that doesn't fit the established mold. You try to bring up a different perspective, something outside the mainstream consensus, and suddenly you're met with nothing but skepticism or outright dismissal. It’s almost like they view any deviation from the "accepted truth" as a threat rather than an opportunity to learn. Does that make sense? It feels like the whole system is designed to protect its own ego instead of actually chasing the truth, no matter how messy or unconventional that truth might be. 🙂 Because they just use different methods altogether... you know? I mean, honestly, isn't that the whole point? It’s just a completely different approach.
You really have to admit it, don't you? Even today, mainstream medicine is slowly, painfully starting to embrace things that used to be tossed aside as "alternative." Take the food pyramid, for example. It wasn't even officially embraced by the health authorities until the early 90s. Can you believe that? Before then, the whole medical establishment acted like what we put on our plates had absolutely zero impact on our health. They treated diseases like they were just random acts of fate—like something handed down from above that we had no control over. But look at us now! Everything has shifted. Now, obesity is classified as a full-blown disease. It’s wild how much the conversation has changed, isn't it? 🙂 You see how things just... they change, don't they? It’s wild. Everything shifts right under your feet when you aren't looking. One minute everything feels steady, and the next? Gone. Totally different. How does that even happen?
Look, I’m telling you how it is, but hey, do whatever you want. It’s on you. You can choose to believe me or you can choose not to. That's your call. But just remember—whatever path you pick, you’ve gotta own it. You have to live with the consequences of that choice, right? You can't just half-measure your convictions. So, what now? Are we done here? Go ahead, go grab some fries at McDonald's or something. Just think about it.😍 😍

Olivia Clark22 said:Look, I never actually said that first thing—you know, that whole "millions of people are suffering" bit—so please, don't go putting words in my mouth! Seriously. Every single person reacts to things differently. Just because something doesn't seem to bother one person doesn't mean it isn't absolutely catastrophic for someone else's health. It's not that simple!

Go ahead, make your call. It’s your decision to make. But just so you know, you're driving patients away. We aren't living in an era where people look at doctors like they're some kind of infallible gods anymore. If I go looking for help, does that really mean I have to leave my brain at home and just swallow everything handed to me on a silver platter? Because, honestly, if I had been that naive in the past, I could have done serious damage to myself—all because I trusted certain "conscientious" doctors.
My kid isn't going to be sitting in some dentist's chair screaming in pain—there is just no way. I won't stand for it. Why would I ever let that happen? I refuse to let them develop those kinds of dental issues or trauma later in life. Not on my watch.

Honestly, I just don't care about the whole microdosing thing anymore. Whether it's a tiny amount or a massive dose, I'm done stressing over it. It makes zero sense to me. Why on earth would anyone want toxic substances sitting in their mouth? Even if people claim those little doses aren't "toxic," that logic just doesn't hold up. What are we actually doing here? It’s just not logical.
Remember when everyone used to swear that DDT was completely non-toxic? They practically treated it like it was pure water... and then, well, look what happened. Turns out, it wasn't exactly what they promised us, was it?

I'm right there with you on that one. Totally.👍

Kimberly Davis52 said:So, their immune systems were basically so weak that after just two days of breaking the rules, they simply DIED!

And all because of fruit!

Look, once you actually go back and review the material and see what truly wrecks an immune system... I mean, besides sugar and eating fruit that isn't even in season when you consume it... then there's dairy and a few other things too... then maybe it'll click for you why I'm saying this.
I find it absolutely fascinating how following a regimen like macrobiotics can strengthen the immune system so much... to the point where even HIV doesn't manifest or cause issues... isn't that happening for you?
..I mean, at the end of the day, it's a person's choice—do whatever you want—but I'm just laying out the facts for you.🙂

Megan Reed said:Look, if I ever ended up in some far-off Asian country, I wouldn't even touch the water there! 😬 🤣

But honestly? It isn't even about where the stuff comes from. I mean, maybe things actually grow better over in Asia—natural, organic, without all the pesticides, GMOs, and other capitalist garbage we deal with here.

Elizabeth Alvarez13 said:they basically died from eating too much ice cream and tropical fruit 🙄 🤣 🤣 (and that was only two days later)

😍 Man, what kind of immune system is that? 🤣

I mean, seriously. But look, their immune systems were actually rock solid because they were following macrobiotics. Once they stopped living that way, everything just fell apart. Do you really need more proof of how much lifestyle matters for your health? And keep in mind, even with HIV, they weren't even touching any medication—and we all know how much stuff people usually have to take when they're dealing with that...

Megan Reed said:Nah, look, there’s still hope. Maybe one day you'll actually sit through a "Molecular Biology for Dummies" lecture or something. 😉

So, what's it actually like studying molecular biology? I mean, that was totally on the table for me back when I was deciding on a major... but I've always leaned toward the alternative route. Still, it's pretty fascinating, isn't it? 😉

Megan Reed said:So, if we’re following your logic, I guess that means viruses that cause cancer don't even exist? Is that really where we're headed here?

But they still exist. They really do.

Oh, they definitely exist... I know that much! But look, people like that don't go after athletes, vegetarians, or anyone else who isn't dealing with acidosis.

Megan Reed said:Look, there’s a massive difference between saying modern medicine just treats symptoms instead of digging for the actual cause, and going off the deep end by claiming viruses don't even cause illness in the first place.

The real root issue? It's acidosis. The virus is just secondary. To me, having a virus in your system is basically just a signal—a symptom—telling you that your body isn't functioning at its best...

Megan Reed said:so, you're saying if I'm like, perfectly healthy 😍 then I could just inject an HIV virus into my body 😍 and somehow I have these super secret, unknown-to-science immune cells 😍 that will just prevent me from getting infected? 😍

** so basically, if I have a weak immune system, the HIV virus will just materialize out of thin air right next to me and attack immediately, but otherwise, it would just bypass me, right? 😍

*well, I don't know about you, but we actually look at microorganisms under a microscope. 😍

fantastic. 😍 go ahead and apply for a Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology right now. 😍

👏

you guys created HIV under a microscope anyway. so why don't you just pull some HIV out of a lab and then use your microscope to make a cure for it...😬
Michio Kushi used macrobiotics to treat HIV infections. and everyone was doing fine, and most of them are still living today. except for two people who went on vacation and ate ice cream and tropical fruit and died within two days. he boosted their immunity so much that even though they had HIV inside them, they felt and looked and functioned like completely normal, healthy people!!

Megan Reed said:I mean, I could honestly just skip microbiology and parasitology at university if I wanted to, because honestly, those topics have absolutely nothing to do with actual diseases.🥳 🙏

Medicine? Molecular biology? What exactly are we studying here...? Look, modern medicine has basically evolved to just treat symptoms. And sure, sometimes it works. For some people. But then you have folks who act like they don't care about anything, living life however they want, and then the moment things go south, they come running to those "brilliant" doctors—expecting some little pill to fix everything instantly, like they'll be brand new in two days... well, it doesn't work quite that way, does it?😬
The real reason someone gets sick can be something else entirely... You know what hypochondriacs are? You know how people can actually start feeling ill just because they convinced themselves they were? And then the next day, they're genuinely sick. So, what now? How on earth do you explain that?

melloweagle11 said:As long as doctors just prescribe an antibiotic for some inflammation—like bronchitis, for example—and then when that doesn't work, they just throw another one at you hoping for the best? Yeah, modern medicine is a total joke.
Once we actually get to a point where medicine can pinpoint the exact issue, find the root cause, and then tailor a treatment specifically for that, we'll be talking about something else entirely.

👍 But what's your take on those actual underlying causes of disease...
Do vaccines actually work? in Health ·
Kimberly Davis52 said:Aha. So how do you explain why someone with a weak immune system gets infected when exposed to a virus, but someone else with a weak immune system who isn't exposed won't—if viruses aren't actually the cause?😵

I honestly never thought I'd live to see the day where someone tries to convince me that microorganisms aren't the cause of disease. Good grief.

😘 Look, microorganisms are causes... if you're just looking at the surface level... but the *real* reason they managed to attack you in the first place is because your body was clearly too weak to fight off the invasion..🙂
So, the actual root cause of all diseases—aside from the ones you inherit genetically—is acidosis. Basically, chronic acidity in the body. A truly healthy organism simply isn't in a state of acidosis. If you want to stay healthy, you have to alkalize yourself, which means detoxing... THERE.
Modern medicine just focuses on treating symptoms. Take a person with a cough, for example. That's a symptom of some undefined illness (which is basically acidosis), and the doctor prescribes three different medicines *against* the cough. The coughing stops, and the person thinks they're cured. Then, two weeks later, they have a sore throat... Was that person actually cured by those three medicines? No. The real cause remained exactly the same; the imbalance just manifested itself in a different way...😉 instead of the person COUGHING OUT the toxins that were bothering the body, and that's that. The body just needs to be allowed to release the toxins. It has this perfect self-healing mechanism; you just have to let it work! You shouldn't be filling it back up with new toxins through these modern drugs that seem to have more side effects than actual benefits nowadays..
Eye problems / Vision issues in Health ·
Oh man, please don't scare me... I don't exactly have visible spots or anything. But I've got this really weird sensation, like I'm just not processing things the way I used to. Like, sometimes I'll stare at something and it just doesn't register. It’s like I can't truly experience it. And even when I'm looking at stuff normally, I get this nagging feeling that what I'm seeing isn't even real... it feels so distant... so surreal... 😕 It's like that static on an old TV when the antenna is acting up... like I'm seeing these little particles in the air that just block me from seeing what's actually "behind" the haze... 😕
By the way, my prescription is 1.5+, but honestly, it doesn't matter if I'm wearing my glasses or not—it stays the same. If anything, it feels even worse when I put them on, because then I get this even stronger sensation—like I'm staring at the world through a window on a television screen... 🙂

Justin Fox or Jamie Rivera78... wait, who even is it now? I can't keep track. Anyway, whoever said that bacteria and viruses aren't the actual cause of illness is spot on. And you know why? Because the real culprit is that people have such weak immune systems in the first place! That's why they get hit by viruses, bacteria, whatever else is out there. But look, talking about immunity is a massive, complicated rabbit hole... 🙂
..don't you ever stop to think about how, for example, you might get sick while everyone else around you stays perfectly fine, even though you're all living in the exact same environment under the same conditions?? 🙂
