If we’re talking specifically about college students—just so I don't go completely off-topic—it would certainly be better if they got vaccinated. At the very least, it increases their chances of survival. Though, honestly, given how things are right now, they might be better off sticking to remote learning anyway. I’m sure their universities would be understanding about that.

I’m not entirely convinced that universities are even offering a full hybrid model—you know, both in-person and online—where a student actually has the luxury of choosing which one to attend.

Once we actually reach that threshold, you can bet I'll be getting my kid vaccinated. But I refuse to let them be the stand-in for all the selfish adults out there who won't step up. Like I said before.

Honestly, I'm starting to wonder why I'm even repeating myself when it feels like some people are struggling with basic reading comprehension here.

Well, that is certainly a peculiar way of looking at things.

I had always operated under the assumption—though perhaps I'm mistaken here—that a parent acts in the best interest of their own child, rather than basing their decisions on what they deem "wrong" for that child based on others. But according to this logic, the choice to vaccinate one's offspring somehow hinges entirely on whether or not some unspecified irresponsible adults have done so.

I honestly can't wrap my head around how a child's well-being is tied to whether or not every single one of those irresponsible adults gets their shots. It’s just... I don't quite follow the reasoning where someone chooses to undergo a medical procedure instead of someone else, regardless of who that might be.

That’s just how things are done these days, I suppose.

Tomislav Osman will undoubtedly clear all of this up for us.

They haven't given anyone a free pass yet—I suspect they’ll give those other fairy tales some serious thought before committing to anything.

Oh, hilarious.

For years, the script was always some variation of "there's no final verdict, so nobody can tell us what to do"—but now, suddenly, it’s shifted to "we were supposed to be found guilty a century ago under some different version of the Republican Party, so really, we're untouchable."

They had a massive supermajority—seventy-six seats—so what kind of "help" are you even talking about when you just chatter away like that?

Between Joe Biden and Smith, they had a mouth full of nothing but "genius" legislation and that traitorous opposition—which, let’s be honest, is just sabotaging the recovery by slowing down this brilliant law with their endless, petty little objections.

If the folks over in Ireland don't have a local Republican Party branch there, how does it work? Could they end up messing up the diaspora vote, or if they’re registered locally, could they throw off the results for the local candidates here at home?
Do you guys realize the kind of chaos 100,000 votes like that could cause?

Here we go again—the forum’s most dedicated Republican Party cheerleader, who would probably commit a felony if it meant helping her party, is now proudly rambling about her son moving to England.

Why on earth would you assume she—or her son, or even old lady Josephine, who was last seen being coherent back when we were first admitted to the UN—wouldn't give a perfectly honest answer to an election question?

And honestly, Joe Biden is right when he claims today's Republican Party is nothing like the one during George W. Bush's era—Bush didn't fall because he was a crook, but because his actions stalled our entry into the European Union, and due to an obsession with Western Russia, that process was essentially put on hold.
Today, even if Republican corruption is just as bad, if not worse than fifteen years ago, the trick is that they’ll likely walk away scot-free. As long as Andrew remains the darling of Brussels, as long as he stays anti-Russian, and as long as there isn't any war or social unrest here, Republicans can sleep soundly. Long live the status quo! After all, the prosecution of George W. Bush only happened because of outside pressure, which simply doesn't exist anymore. ☕
The only real fix is mobilizing voters for the next midterm elections, much like what happened during the last local elections in Washington, D.C., and voting overwhelmingly for the opposition—even if you don't "ideologically" align with them—simply because you know they aren't criminals. Anyone with half a brain gets that.

The prerequisite for any of that would be being able to name even five key figures from the Možemo movement who aren't based in Washington, D.C. Right now, that seems like an impossible mission.

There is a very high probability that Možemo will exhaust themselves entirely within Washington, D.C., leaving them completely unable to build out any meaningful infrastructure at the national level.

The Republican Party is intentionally dragging its feet when it comes to selecting the head of CNN, mostly because they have their own legal baggage tied up in that court.
But today, all of that crumbled, and honestly, it's all becoming a thing of the past.
Tomorrow is a brand new day!
Personally, I really thought that once George W. Bush was out of the picture, officials would finally learn their lesson, but boy, was I wrong.

Oh, really?

So, the fact that this whole legal process dragged on for ten years—that doesn't matter, I guess?

And the fact that there was enough evidence to make even George W. Bush unable to hand down an acquittal personally—that's also irrelevant?

Let’s all just jump in together and spin it the same way: "We have nothing to do with this; the guilt lies solely with Bush, and look at all this evidence proving how democratic we are—we even allow convictions against ourselves," while throwing in those subtle, passive-aggressive little notices like, "It's not my place to judge how much influence the opposition and Biden's rhetoric have over the court..."

You clearly aren't listening—Joe Biden laid it out perfectly well enough.

It’s entirely on Donald Trump; nobody else had even the slightest clue that anything of this nature was even happening.

The selection process itself isn't the issue here—honestly, people vote for just about anything these days, from Miss Universe to some obscure local pageant winner.

The real headache lies with the sponsors and the entire entourage composed of current and former cabinet members and representatives. If the focus had actually been on genuine entrepreneurship, then fine—but no, instead we get this "exemplary woman" trope where they’re more concerned with checking if someone's domestic life is tidy enough. It's all quite transparent, regardless of how much everyone tries to hide behind various NGOs and political interest groups.

Dubravka Šuica has officially gone ahead and blamed the lack of political division in the country on—get this—America.

Well, I suppose I can finally say I’ve heard just about everything there is to hear.

What exactly is the catastrophic fallout if a teacher—acting on some official order to compile a list of vaccinated students—decides to cite privacy laws like HIPAA, or perhaps just adds an epidemiologist to the class WhatsApp group? Or something along those lines, I suppose.

What’s the actual issue with him leaking the password?

"Now anyone can just grab the master password and hand it over to the enumerator." — yeah, and then what? So the enumerator types in the password, sees that it’s linked to some guy named Skoric, and—what exactly happens next?

amberrider said:Let’s be honest for once. If masking were actually just a suggestion or a guideline, most parents would tell their kids they don't have to wear them if they don't want to. But since it’s clearly a mandatory requirement for attending school, those same parents turn around and demand government intervention, child removal, blood counts, lockdowns, and all sorts of other sanctions. For someone who simply voiced what the majority of people actually think, it's quite something. Such a hypocritical society.

What exactly are you basing that claim on?

More than fifty percent of the adult population in America got vaccinated—are you seriously suggesting they all "think" these measures were useless?

Linda Lee4 said:Over in Sinji, they’ve officially decided that masks aren't required in schools anymore.

I’d love for someone to explain the actual epidemiological logic behind one school being forced to mandate masks while the school right down the road isn't.

It’s peak idiocy.

Nothing has actually been decided in San Diego.

The fact that the San Diego mayor thinks he’s the master of the universe is his own personal issue—not ours.

BTW, has anyone actually published any credentials regarding this father who sits outside the school every single day to "educate" his son? I mean, clearly, the man possesses an incredibly vast spectrum of knowledge and expertise if he's supposedly capable of "educating" an eighth grader in every single subject.

Did they at least drop twenty bucks for coffee and some pastries for the "wonderful" doctor (lol)?

* A good doctor is one who actually gives me a sick note and prescribes antibiotics. A bad doctor is someone who refuses to give you antibiotics and always makes things difficult whenever I want to take medical leave.

They're tearing them apart from the inside. In your face Fuchs!

That's grounds for termination right there.

And it’s not even because he’s an idiot—it's just that he isn't being paid to spout his own personal delusions at the kids.

On one hand, I suppose someone’s (non)binary status is strictly their own private business—it really should be matters of personal identity left alone.

But then again, you look at the reality of things—every single weekend, if people want to step foot into a football stadium, they’re being forced to produce a COVID-19 vaccination certificate just to get through the gates.

But honestly, who is actually going to determine—and how, exactly—which professor is vaccinated and which one isn't? 😬
