Used PC builds: What are they worth? in Desktops ·
Hey everyone 🙂

What kind of price tag am I looking at for this setup?

image

Just a heads up—I’ve crossed out the HDD because it’s likely headed to a different PC, and I also crossed out the optical drive since it was swapped out (took it to a local shop to get a new one installed because the old one wouldn't read my Verbatim discs, haha). I also crossed out the WiFi dongle.

The optical drive in the rig is a DVDRW NEC AD-7260S SATA.

So, here's the breakdown:

Case with PSU
Motherboard
Processor
RAM
Optical Drive

The whole thing was built using AMD parts, and I’ve got all the original paperwork and receipts right here to prove it.
Honestly, this machine is in mint condition—not even a single scratch on it. It’s been incredibly well-maintained and cleaned regularly (including the physical cleaning of the 🙂 components too)

So... I stumbled upon this Acer at a killer discount 😁 for just $132, and honestly? I think the price is absolute insanity 👍
The reviews everywhere are glowing—it’s got an anti-glare screen and everything... I really feel like I just scored the deal of a lifetime, haha. I mean, who else is getting something this decent for pocket change? 🙂

Here's what the price looks like over here at about $150 difference 😉 except the model we have is labeled hlbMid, whereas in the USA they don't include that M.

Alright, thanks! 👍

I've been digging through reviews online, and from what I can tell, this DELL is getting nothing but praise—which is a huge relief since people have been absolutely tearing that AOC model apart in a couple of recent write-ups. Apparently, the positive stuff you see for the AOC is just pure hype and total nonsense. 🙂Well, I'll be 😉thanks again...

By the way... that AOC one is available here too, 😉but it’s actually more expensive by about $183 😁 (on Best Buy)

But seriously, nobody 😕
Did I say something wrong or what? Should I just start a whole new thread?

Sooo...
Since I'm moving out of my parents' place soon, I'm thinking about picking up a 22, 23, or 24" monitor for my setup—nothing crazy intensive. All I really care about is that it's Full HD and has an HDMI port. I know everyone says IPS is the way to go, but honestly? It doesn't matter to me... I'm not sitting there binge-watching movies or cartoons, and I'm definitely not some hardcore gamer (barely play anything at all)...
I've put together a few ideas of what I might grab, so if you guys have any advice, please help a guy out 🙂 or even better, let me know if there's something superior out there 🙂
My budget is $160 (maybe slightly less $307)...so please don't give me that "just stretch your budget a little bit" routine 😉 🙂

Current frontrunner and runner-up

The difference is just 1.5" and 40 bucks... and honestly, the AOC looks so much easier on the eyes 🙂 is it actually worth dropping that extra 40 bucks or should I just save it?

This one is $10 more expensive, but it's just a backup option for now 🙂 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009483

Ended up fixing it by just getting rid of that TO field 🙂—though I had to mess around with the reading pane and a few other settings first...
Thanks for the assist, everyone! 😁
Justin Gray81 said:So, if she sent it to three different people, it’s not actually showing her name—like, the sender's name—it's just listing out the email addresses for everyone who received the message. 🙂

Man, I totally overcomplicated this thing 😁

Basically... she gets the email and the sender's name isn't even visible (that part was blurred out in the photo), it's just showing the email addresses of all the recipients instead..
image

So... here are the emails hitting the inbox, and I went ahead and crossed out all the sender names. My colleague’s setup is acting weird—instead of showing her own name as the sender, it’s actually listing the names of the people she sent the email to.
Basically, if she sends a message to three different people, her name doesn't show up at all; instead, you just see the names (or email addresses) of everyone on the recipient list. 🙂

Hopefully, that clears things up for you. 🙂
Hey everyone, what's up?

So, I've run into a bit of a headache... it's an issue with Office 2007 and Outlook
Basically, whenever a new email hits my inbox, instead of showing me who actually sent the message, it just lists out the names of every single recipient on the thread. Hopefully, that makes sense—I know it sounds a little weird when you say it out loud. 🤔
If anyone can help me troubleshoot this, I'd really appreciate it... it's becoming a pretty big deal for me.

Honestly, I’ve got this feeling you just cooked up this handle for one or two quick posts before disappearing forever 😬

Noah Sanchez39 said:Since Western Digital picked up Hitachi recently, does that actually change anything? I mean, just because a company gets bought out doesn't automatically mean their quality is going to tank, right?

I mean, look at how Geely took over Volvo—it’s still Volvo through and through, isn't it? 😉 🙂

Look, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you won't find any of that in the Outlook 2007 classic menu. I've been digging through the add-ins, and honestly? That option just isn't there. It's like it doesn't even exist in the add-in settings. Total dead end. 😉

Thanks anyway! 🙂
