The physical toll on the hostages in World ·
It is absolutely heartbreaking to hear that even after being freed, these women are still dealing with shrapnel inside their bodies. Spending eight months in those tunnels sounds like a literal nightmare for their physical and mental health. How are they even expected to begin the recovery process after something this traumatic?

Yes, I must admit, that caught me quite by surprise...

the second moderator mentioned above claims a warning was issued—though why, nobody knows—and it clearly has nothing to do with that specific post or this thread...

all of this follows the sudden removal of a permanent ban, which is a completely different matter from what you're discussing and citing as an example... and if possible, could we try to avoid using such 'strong language,' please? It makes things look bad. Thanks.

A single post on that thread was indeed flagged (not the one we are currently discussing), but it was deleted shortly after. I wouldn't want to recount the exact content, because it wasn't your typical communist, neo-Nazi, fascist, garbage, or red rhetoric—I tend to view those terms loosely during a heated debate rather than taking them as literal insults from any side—but it was enough that I felt compelled to write something in a private message...

Where on earth are you seeing a moderator strike on this specific post?

The one where he actually wrote the following...

Where exactly was this post or the blatant insults toward forum members sanctioned? 🙂

Where am I seeing a strike for that particular post? 😠

There is also another section of the post that was deleted, containing content that was perhaps even more offensive (or just as bad, if my memory serves me right) directed at CD...

It seems those fascists are simply indestructible—they’ve been causing trouble from the days of the Great Depression all the way through to this very moment.😁

Keith Rodriguez27 said:That’s because they stay trapped in that giant quote box since you forget to delete the original big quote you get when you first hit the quote icon at the bottom of the post. You gotta wipe that first quote out before you start adding your own commentary. But if you do that, you lose the person's name and the link back to their original post. So, here's the move: do what I always do—just grab that
tag from the very end of the post and paste it right after the specific section you actually want to reply to, then use the "highlight and quote" method for the rest of your stuff.

cut it off, and then paste it right onto the end of the first section you actually want to comment on, and for everything else, just use that "highlight and quote" method.

Hamed Bangoura He launched a petition on Facebook demanding new elections in the United States. His proposal is blunt: no current political party should be allowed to run. He’s calling for all existing parties to commit to a voluntary four-year moratorium on their political activity.

------------------------

To the politicians in charge,

First, allow me to thank you for twenty-three years of relentless looting and the systematic dismantling of one of the most beautiful nations on Earth—a country that feels like God crafted it on his final Friday afternoon. Thanks to your esteemed political leadership, instead of being the crown jewel of the EU, we have become its laughingstock and its servant.

Let me be clear: your citizens are exhausted. They are drained, cheated, and utterly fed up. For twenty-three years, they’ve been subjected to the same relentless cycle—the same political players, the same cronyism, and the same recycled personnel. It’s like being stuck in a bad marriage with the same partner who refuses to change. So far, I am being polite and keeping my composure. I will try my best to maintain this tone.

When I talk about rough sex, there’s a specific term for when a handful of you take turns on one person—it's called a relay. That’s not group sex. In group sex, everyone actually enjoys themselves. This is just a relay, where you politicians line up to take turns brutally violating us.

Unfortunately, this kind of sexual relationship isn't something a nation enjoys; it’s pure suffering, akin to being victimized by assault. It isn't just about the immediate pain. It creates deep-seated trauma that, much like the lasting scars left on a survivor, leaves permanent damage. Because of this, the nation will struggle immensely to ever find true love or experience a healthy, normal connection again.

To our dear politicians: I have a suggestion. If you actually care about the prosperity and future of this country, my proposal is simple. Organize new elections in the US immediately.

I propose a total moratorium on anyone currently in politics—or anyone who has ever held office—running in these upcoming elections. It shouldn't matter if they held executive power or just sat in a legislative seat. We need a voluntary ban on all political parties and individuals who have been active in this system over the last 23 years.

There will be a four-year moratorium on elections for you and your party members. After that period concludes, you may reapply for candidacy, allowing the public to vote you back into the very power you seem so fond of holding.

Four years is enough time. If we can bring in honest, capable, and skilled leaders—people who actually know what they're doing—we could finally decontaminate this country. We need fresh programs and progressive ideas. With a few radical measures, we wouldn't just be making incremental changes for the next decade; we would be pulling this nation a full 180 degrees in the right direction.

If they fail, you’ll be back in four years. We’ll go right back to accepting your order, falling in line without a single complaint or second thought.

What’s your argument? You can't honestly claim this isn't a fair shake. It’s a fair deal for a public that’s fed up with every administration they’ve ever had and is desperate for a fresh start. It’s also a fair deal for you. You get a vacation—a chance to step away from the grind of manual labor, recharge your batteries, and find enough strength to pick up right where you left off if this new, untainted government fails to deliver.

I’ll end this letter with a simple request. I am asking my friends, my followers, and everyone in their circles to help push this civic concept forward. If we can hit 20,000 likes and shares, it proves there is genuine appetite for the idea. From there, we might actually have the leverage to trigger a meaningful referendum.

Forgive the intrusion, but we only want to reach our retirement years in peace and ensure our children actually stand a fighting chance.

I hope you grasp the intent behind this request. Please share this letter with your members; I suspect most will find themselves in agreement with this initiative. Many of them feel betrayed as well—there are still those among them who possess a sense of morality and a genuine desire for progress.

PS: I posted this late tonight rather than during business hours specifically so nobody could claim I was cheating the system. Cheers. Please feel free to share if you find this worthwhile.

I find myself in complete agreement with this article.

And regarding the core issue: what is the point of tearing down the current administration if you have no viable alternative to step into their shoes? What would that second, superior option even look like? Perhaps we ought to be asking a different question entirely: does the United States actually possess enough capable, honest individuals who haven't already been compromised by the political machine, yet still possess the genuine desire to transform this country into a functional place to live...

Steven Martinez13 said:It’s true, but honestly, finding real friends feels nearly impossible when my life barely extends beyond my commute to college... I have people there, but those connections seem strictly limited to the classroom, and once the semester ends, everything just fades away... I don't think my old high school classmates hold anything against me, since I never went out of my way to hurt anyone and always tried to be kind, though I remember even annoying that one guy just by being too nice and never pushing back... still, I can't help but feel they probably just thought I was a bit odd...

Being a little different from the crowd isn't actually a flaw; if anything, it's a strength, which is exactly what I meant when I mentioned how important it is to respect yourself...
As for meeting people, I used to find my circle through university by focusing on individuals who actually caught my interest; I’d start with a conversation, then maybe grab a coffee, then another after a lecture, and eventually, we'd head out for the night, letting things develop naturally... but you really do have to make the choice to take that first step sometimes...
just be brave...

And there is really no need for any self-pity, because we all process things through our own unique lenses and react in our own distinct ways... just respect yourself and your own emotions, and find a way to move forward...
I heard it straight from the professors themselves, claiming that you build your entire character during high school and that it stays that way for the rest of your life, and honestly, that just crushed me.😢[/QUOTE

The truth is, a person is constantly evolving throughout their entire life... for instance, I feel like a completely different individual now than I was back in my high school days...

You’re still young, so please, just make the most of it because you'll regret it later if you don't... these truly are the best years of your life, and why would you let yourself fall into a depression over what some people from high school might think? It seems so futile... just focus on building your own self-confidence and finding a circle of friends who actually resonate with who you are... once you do that, you'll realize the only opinions that matter are those of the people close to you and the ones you actually care about... besides, I highly doubt even those old classmates have anything negative to say about you, and even if they did, it shouldn't matter... your life belongs to you, not them... so just live it to the fullest... carpe diem...
