I suppose I tend to warm myself up quite thoroughly before a show, and once things get moving, I just find myself swaying to the rhythm, spinning around, and sipping on a beer.

That legendary Prljav Kazalište concert at Pike Place Market back in '94. link
Catch Me If You Can in Movies ·
It's an okay film. I suppose I always enjoy revisiting it, though it feels a bit naive at times. Still, it works fine if you just want something to zone out to.
The passing of Mr. Lazarescu in Movies ·
I stumbled upon a film in the DirecTV video library and finally sat through the whole thing. I have to say, the way it depicts the dynamic between doctors and their patients was particularly striking. It felt incredibly realistic—the way modern physicians treat patients today is almost identical to how a repairman treats a broken refrigerator or a television.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to see the whole movie because I ended up falling asleep. Based on what I did catch, though, I'm quite satisfied. The acting feels realistic, and the style and humor are unique—it definitely has that distinct indie vibe. I'll probably pick it up to watch in full sometime soon.

I would ask the moderators to move this topic over to the PDF film section.

Halloween—it just has that certain something, especially those early films
A Bronx Tale (1993) in Movies ·
Personally, this ranks as one of my favorite films; de Niro was absolutely excellent here.
Some R&B mixed with that summer house vibe, maybe something like this
Limitless (2011) in Movies ·
It's a decent enough movie, I suppose. The cast is actually quite stellar, and the concept behind the story is pretty engaging, but there are definitely some plot holes. Honestly, the ending felt incredibly rushed—almost like the director had to bolt for the restroom mid-scene...
What to think about Rodriguez in Movies ·
Personally, he's one of my favorite directors. I've seen his entire filmography except for Sin City, and I have to say, I'm impressed by all of them, especially... El Mariachi I suppose I could say something regarding the trilogy and Machete.
Traffic (2000) in Movies ·
An excellent film. I watched it again yesterday for the umpteenth time. I suppose the cinematography is what stands out most to me; it truly is a work of art. 👍
Dealing with difficult people? in Psychology ·
I have a friend just like that, and I've learned the hard way that if you give people like them even one or two small concessions—maybe buying them a coffee, a beer, or covering a night out—you'll never be able to shake them off for the rest of your life. I guess you just learn from your mistakes, 🙂
