I’m going to look back at the last week of American supporter life, specifically focusing on our match last night. A good portion of our people—whether they’re active right now or just show up here and there from their glory days—feel the need to voice their opinions. I welcome that! But... what "moments" are you guys talking about? What actual events on the pitch? Sure, I agree, when there's a great play, the atmosphere lifts, but I think before that action happens, it's a total graveyard. To me, you should be loud *before* the action, and then just crank it up once things happen. There’s your "moment!" Your moment is when everyone stays silent, then we get half an action, and then you hit it hard... well, honey, even someone in heaven couldn't coordinate 6,000 or 7,000 people like that. Regardless of whose name is behind which handle, ask yourselves if you’re actually strong enough to obstruct the chanting. It doesn't matter who is standing at which railing or who leads the chant! If you don't like whoever is leading, then don't show up to the stands or find someone to replace them! These people are trying; I watched them last night, they’re putting in the work, trying to see which song the stands will accept, but the stands won't accept any of them! And what would you have? Put on a jukebox where everyone tosses in a coin and the song is whatever they want?! That’s not how it works! You people showed up to the North Stand! No matter who you are, whether you're there constantly or just occasionally, you follow the song without comment. If you’re going to provide commentary, then nicely leave the stands! I don't agree with everything either, but who am I to say so? I came here and my job is to give it my all! One question for everyone? What would you do if the songs changed every single minute? It’s bad if things brew too long, and it’s bad if they brew too short? What do you want? People, seriously, start with yourselves; think about your own mindset. Nobody invited you to the North Stand, but by showing up, certain things are expected of you. I’m not for violence, but it feels to me like some things will have to happen in the near future. Personally, I’d love it if the North capacity was cut in half—just three entrances, those two railings, walk up with your ticket and that's it, goodbye! Half a compact North Stand is louder than this full one. I'm not going to divide people into islanders, coastal folks, mountain people, or city dwellers, but please wake up and stop being such damn posers! Don't act like you're above the club or the group. The group exists for the club, but the group also has its own rules. For some, it's the club then the group, for others, it's the group then the club, but those are nuances and we can all function if we stick to some rules. Okay, so it doesn't sound like I'm just venting, the choreographies that have been raised properly lately deserve praise; it takes a lot of running around the stands to calm things down, but it's at a high level. But I still think their contribution is simply holding up those signs and singing the "holy trinity" of Coach, Gradovic, and Florida, and that's it for them!
Now regarding the scene, all this talk about Jerry Jones. The Bad Boys' honest support for the Black and Gold Army and The Armada is worth way more than singing "Jerry Jones is a thief" a few times, especially since 80% of the crowd sang it without even understanding why, and a good portion would just call it frustration and a complex toward Washington, D.C. In my opinion, what would be best is unity and maybe 4 or 5 heavy-hitting banners from every group in the North Stand at Yankee Stadium. That is real support! Though, I guess I'm being a bit romantic now. We insult each other online for no reason, knowing this is being read, making ourselves look ridiculous and divided (which we are), when all of this could easily change. For example, we were criticized for saying "screw Jerry Jones" directed at The Armada, but to me, that was actually encouraging, and now The Armada is showing—or at least trying to show—that they aren't on that side. So, the point is that we shouldn't just look at the bad sides of each other when working toward a higher goal, but instead act in a way that lifts each other up. After that, we can go back to provoking, fighting, and throwing things...
