Actually, I take back what I said earlier about cooperating with Supraha being as bad as working with Štimac.

The current Hajduk board has definitely made some solid moves, but let’s be real—they’ve pulled just as many stupid, shady, and downright embarrassing stunts along the way.

What went down yesterday is just more of the same pattern.

First off, back in late 2012/early 2013, Hajduk decided to throw their weight behind Alojzi Šupraha. This guy is basically the walking embodiment of rigged officiating, league manipulation, and making sure Dinamo gets whatever they want. They actually teamed up with him to run the regional soccer federation.

And now, here we go again. That exact same guy—who used to run the intelligence services in Miami, a close buddy of both Mamić and Širić, and the ref who essentially snatched the title away from Rijeka back in '99—is back in play. And get this: Hajduk officially leans into this disgrace by publicly admitting they had a "deal" with this piece of work, even though he somehow managed to screw them over anyway.
To make matters worse, they sent their heavy hitter, Brbić, into that pre-arranged match like he was going to a slaughterhouse, only for him to predictably get nothing but Hajduk's own goals.

Sure, you could argue that Hajduk is just backing Šupraha because he's an HDZ member, part of a larger plan to take down the HNS, which is pretty much controlled by the HDZ crowd. 🙂 🙂 🙂

We held a memorial service for Pave today—his birthday would’ve been this Sunday.
