Quick discussion: The rise of fascism in America (PDF Politics) in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, violating the Constitution of the United States and spreading hate speech is worth a measly 45 points? 🤣
Seriously, I walked into a football game and got slapped with 500 points just for making a totally mindless comment. 🙏
This is absolute genius. 🤣
I swear, if I don't spend my last dime buying this entire forum, firing the moderation team, and letting the whole thing go down in flames, I don't know what I'm doing with my life.

And I’d go a step further—it was just like so many other kids across the former country for the exact reasons bluecyclist64 already pointed out.

Some historians who lean toward the Ustase claim the exact same thing regarding Jasenovac before 1944. So, you're quick to defend all that Ustase nonsense at Jasenovac, yet you justify and downplay all of Tito's bullshit... what kind of person are you? Do you ever stop to ask yourself why?

Ever since I started following American politics, I haven't read a single constructive or coherent comment from this person regarding any political topic. Her only contribution is constant trolling and writing these kinds of pamphlets across this and other similar threads in this grievance section of the forum.

What's more, if we actually only listened to her and shaped American Politics solely to suit her tastes, it wouldn't be politics anymore. It would just be some weird hybrid of an internal gossip column for her allies and a platform for unconstructive attacks against anything that doesn't align with her ideology.

This whole thread is a joke, and the way the admins are handling things here and over at Sean Cooper65's place is a perfect microcosm of what happens in American politics.

I mean, look at this guy—out of his 26 total posts, 20 of them are right here in this single thread. What does that tell any sane person?

It’s nothing more than a blatant distraction tactic aimed at the one relatively objective moderator in the Politics section. Even though he stays fair, he isn't going to go rogue; he follows the decisions made by the moderator board and his supposed "bosses."

Look, you've been on this forum far too long to play dumb. You know perfectly well that every sub-forum reserves the right to set its own specific moderation standards.

Steven King74 said:That sex offender's statement to the media claims his bar was closed over a mere $2 change. The IRS hasn't confirmed that. The media only reports one side of the story. It's entirely possible the owner is lying. While bringing up his past doesn't have a direct connection to the case, it does say something about his character and why his word shouldn't be taken at face value.
Alexis's post is actually one of the more reasonable ones regarding Politics, even on this topic since the merger. At least she found some links and made an effort to write something argumentative. The real question regarding where we should detect slybison8's bias is: why did he choose to attack *this* specific post and accuse a female Forum user of having a totalitarian mindset, yet he doesn't do the same to much worse posts by Branko and Ferrari? Why didn't Ferrari go Googling whether Linić has children? Isn't that also a totalitarian mindset? And this isn't the first time he attacks Alexis the moment she finds any reason to justify herself to the administration.
Look, I know one single post can't prove anything. But the issue is the continuity of this behavior, which has been going on for years. I could provide examples here, but I'm not going to dig through the entire archive from several years ago. I've already wasted too much time on this. And we have to consider that a good portion of the Politics threads have been deleted and are only accessible to the administration.

Fine, but while I'm being called a communist and told to move to China or North Korea, what am I supposed to do? I live here. The consequences of political decisions will hit me in the face, not those people in Canada or Vanguard. It bothers me when outsiders tell me I live in a dictatorship. Why don't you come back here and deal with this mess with us? I bet they'd sing a different tune once they saw how high the taxes are here compared to what they don't have to pay. It's easy to talk trash on a Forum, but once they log off, their entire connection to this country vanishes.

Furthermore, your claims about being on a "blacklist" and therefore too afraid to post, along with the assertion that Alexis hasn't written anything because she's "scared of getting banned," are pure paranoia. Just look at this thread—is it turning red from all those bans?

slybison8 is calculating. There are no bans because nobody gave him a direct reason. But since that can't be proven, I’ll drop that part of my complaint.

It’s a matter of taste. To me, the aforementioned users are among the most obnoxious Forum users (excluding drota13), and I’ve definitely noticed them acting condescendingly.
Here is an example:

And what exactly was it that I "saw"?

Those two things aren't even in the same ballpark. As much as I hate judging someone based on how many kids they have, the fact remains that we are talking about completely different criteria and logical starting points.

Regarding the bar owner who supposedly had his place shuttered by the IRS over a mere $2 discrepancy, our forum user is trying to justify that decision by bringing up the owner's dirty laundry from his past.

So, what's the logic here? You were wronged today, but because you caused a car accident 10 years ago, you no longer have a voice? You don't get a shot at fair play?
Do you think you deserve to have your fine slashed by $6.75?

Do you realize how dangerous that line of thinking is? Clearly, you don't.

As for Ferrari, he’s simply expressing his impression of Linić, which in my opinion crosses the line of good taste—but again, it can't be compared to Alexis, who clearly won't hesitate to use any means necessary to achieve her goal: justifying the insane, selective, and unfair laws passed by the coalition, specifically Slavko Linić.

Despite the controversial nature of the bar owner, there are victims of bad tax policy and Linić all across the country; therefore, I have no reason not to believe them, unlike the IRS, whose results are falling short of everyone's expectations—not just ours, but their own.

If you want an analogy, the equivalent of a "secret police" mindset would be if Ferrari claimed that Mirela Holly deserved to be removed from her position as Secretary of the Interior just because she's a goth, without considering the circumstances of her removal or the legitimacy of the process itself. There, if you really want analogies.

Sam Wright21 said:Steven King74, I’ve gone ahead and clicked almost every single one of those links you posted above, and frankly, it leads me to the conclusion that you wouldn't be able to handle even an ounce of open discourse; if you actually had any real power in your hands, you’d likely stifle any dissenting opinion immediately.

Champion, I’m at a bit of a loss here—who exactly is being persecuted so terribly? Could you perhaps provide some specifics? Who is targeting whom? Are we talking about the persecution of "conservatives," or is it the "liberals" who are under fire?

Conservatives are being persecuted. If you can't see that, then it's definitely not my problem, and I have no intention of
spinning my wheels here because it's a waste of breath. Plenty of people smarter, more constructive, and more articulate than me
have tried and achieved absolutely nothing. Personally, I have enough common sense to not waste my time
on something that is essentially the equivalent of tilting at windmills.

Sean Cooper65 is just one more victim in a long line of selective enforcement by the moderator clique over at Politics.

bluecyclist64 said:You’ve all been taking aim at PL, but I think you need to learn how to distinguish a regular Forum user from a Moderator.
As a Forum user, PL is a right-wing Scum with conservative views and a truly toxic way of speaking, but when he steps into his role as a Moderator, he plays fair and doesn't hold grudges. To me, the latter matters much more.

Robert Hall7, when did you last take a photo for your avatar? You used to be much more attractive... 🤣

Take this post, for example—this kind of thing is only allowed for a select few users on the entire Forum.
It wouldn't even fly with most Moderators, who would have handed out a warning card immediately in this situation.
The Powerlock Case in Feedback & Suggestions ·
For someone who only has 23 posts and just signed up recently, you seem pretty well-versed in the work and reputation of a certain Moderator. Either that, or your relationship with slybison8 goes back much further than you’re letting on.

Is there really anything wrong with concluding that dragging in private drama—like what Alexis did—is completely off-topic and honestly feels a bit like those old-school FBI interrogation tactics?

If the topic is Fiscalization, then stories about sexual harassment or any other kind of dirty laundry involving someone selectively targeted by a specific law are totally off-topic. They should be sanctioned, especially since they spend so much time talking about this one Forum user and her methods.

If those kinds of low-level rules actually held weight, every single American politician would have to step down immediately. Instead, we see that the only thing separating individuals from their positions is a prison sentence that physically prevents them from doing the job.

You can't say much against slybison8 as a Moderator, aside from his lack of reaction and being perhaps too collegial or submissive when handling borderline cases involving his peers. He moderates the PDF World section flawlessly; his posts there are always worth reading because he isn't just a Moderator, he's an actual participant who is exceptionally well-read and informed. I’d go as far as to say he’s the most constructive Moderator on this entire subforum.

The issue is that he hasn't clearly picked a side with the party. If he were even slightly more right-wing than he already is, he wouldn't even be among the Moderators. Why? Because of the Politics that turn some Forum users into pampered pets while others are chased away like rabid dogs.
It’s pretty wild to see how they’re suddenly labeling this veteran with PTSD—a father of five who fought honorably for this country and was just hauled off to jail for being a whistleblower—as nothing more than a drunk.

Whenever there's a story about a veteran threatening someone with a bomb, or a veteran committing a crime, or some fake war profiteer lining their pockets, every single headline in the news screams "VETERAN" in bold letters.

But now that we have a veteran who is actually a victim of the very system he helped build alongside his brothers-in-arms—only to have hyenas circle him once the job was done—suddenly everyone goes quiet because it doesn't serve their narrative to talk about some supposed drinking problem.

Keep your head up, John! I truly believe there is a higher court than this one, and beyond this world, I believe in justice!
Is this one of those threads where the moderators just team up to troll and mock someone because one of their own finally got flagged for breaking the same rules everyone else has to follow?

If there were any actual justice here, you’d be getting a warning yourself for abusing your position like this.

This is what being pragmatically autistic looks like. It doesn't belong in Music because it's Politics. It doesn't belong in Politics because it's Music. But the second some trashy, shameful tabloid starts hesitating, suddenly it belongs on Teense, and they all happily drag it out and harp on about it for months. Genius!
Thread closed in Feedback & Suggestions ·
That’s exactly the kind of situational awareness a moderator needs, and Charles Fox10 clearly lacks it.

Thompson belongs in the Music section just as much as—if not more than—he belongs in Politics.

His entire persona is deeply woven into the political landscape and worldview of this country; as such, it is perfectly reasonable to discuss him in the Politics section following yesterday's events.

Ultimately, a Thompson concert acts as a form of rebellion and a protest against gatherings like the one held in Times Square and the general frenzy currently sweeping the region. Because of that, it deserves to be analyzed alongside yesterday's developments.

He pulled in over 50,000 people at his concert—a turnout that most small advocacy groups or Facebook protests, including those grand celebrations for the European Union, can only dream of achieving. And they fail to hit those numbers regularly.

Think about it: if Thompson were strictly about music without any political undertones, why would there be such a massive push to ban him from performing at the Arena? Why does his name constantly surface in political discourse?

If Thompson is "political" enough to warrant discussion when we're tackling the slanderous claims made by the Los Angeles Times—claims that this forum actually helped debunk by keeping the thread on Thompson and the Republican Party open—then it's only fair he gets a dedicated space even when he isn't sitting in the crosshairs. He should be allowed a topic even when the context shifts toward his relationship with the European Union.

I honestly don’t get why Goluža didn't put Ćupić in the game. If anyone here actually understands the tactical side of this better than I do, please enlighten me. Our left back missed about five clear opportunities.
Ćupić was playing at 100% efficiency out there.
Christian Evans24 said:I couldn't care less about this game. I’m not even tuning in because their attitude and performance in the second half were such a massive letdown that I honestly don't give a damn about winning bronze. 🙂

I'm feeling just as indifferent. Honestly, I wouldn't care if they snagged Olympic gold or a World Championship title at this point. They completely blew it yesterday by playing exactly how you aren't supposed to play. I can't look at them the same way anymore. It's a huge disappointment. 😢
You expect grit from football players, water polo players, or basketball players, but from the handball team? I never expected that level of toughness, and yet they were absolutely pathetic in the second half—which is the worst part. If anyone was going to step up and take down the Mexicans right in the middle of Belgrade, it should have been these guys. But I didn't see any of that today.

And this too? Is this just freedom of speech? Or the right to have a different opinion?

Meanwhile, this isn't even unnecessary spam:
Yet I get a red card just for pointing out that Ryan Vaughn7 should be penalized for trolling.

Of course, if they’ve been deleted and you can't see the posts themselves, you can just provide links to the pages where they used to be, since I can still see them. Since this supposedly happens constantly, this shouldn't be any trouble for you at all.

Go open that controversial thread about Mason from the first post and start reading from the very beginning. Within just five pages, you'll find several people who got flagged, and later on, people getting banned simply because they talked about Mason and Pusićka the same way Ryan Vaughn7 talks about Gotovina.

As for the topics moved from Politics to the edge, let me give you some examples.

Besides that aforementioned interview where Mason was talking to the Mexican media, we have the thread regarding Mason as the Mayor of Washington, D.C.
Alongside that messy Mason interview thread, there's another one about Mason's rambling speeches in Mexico City on the same page:

At the same time, threads directly tied to the American future and present, like these, are relegated to the edge:

This is located on the edge:

This thread is on the edge:

But this one is categorized under Politics:
Furthermore, they allow threads where Mason trashes America for the sake of the Mexican press, yet threads
that favor the Democratic Party are automatically "moved": , while this one is welcomed, and it practically implies that Stanimirović is right, especially since this guy gets a warning for this specific post:
thread:
This one also deserves to be in Politics, but instead, any other threads mentioning Harmon—even in a positive light—are automatically
sent to the edge:

Also, trying to start a thread against the Democratic Party is impossible because they shut it down immediately, but
this one is perfectly fine:

Let’s get one thing straight: I’m no Republican Party loyalist, but this blatant lobbying for the Democratic Party is absolutely disgusting.
I don't spend my entire day glued to the Politics section, nor am I a moderator, so it’s hard for me to list every single instance where things felt unfair or biased. However, the lack of objectivity is obvious, and I’m certain plenty of other users here could testify to the same thing.
