It’s like having the most beautiful painting in the world—if the actual subject is just average, the frame won't make it great. It’s kind of like how blood is just another element in the atmosphere for The Revenant; visually, they might be on the same level, but that's about it.

I’d only recommend The Revenant for the cinematography. It’s worth seeing on a big screen in a theater, sure, but everything else falls flat. It’s probably the weakest work from Alejandro G. Iñárritu.

Everything holds up. Honestly, the cinematography was so good I actually walked out of the theater feeling pretty stoked. If killer camera work can make a movie great, why wouldn't it?

Pure carnage. Best movie of the 21st century, hands down. It’s basically a whole different universe compared to *The Revenant*.

Since you can clearly see from the video she was in a rush, it's pretty easy to assume she wasn't being careful crossing a street that wasn't exactly empty either. This cop probably doesn't pull over everyone who jaywalks; he's likely thinking the same thing you and everyone else is.

Not this. People jaywalk all the time without even looking, so often it's not even worth counting on a daily basis. I crossed the street five times today alone. Supposedly that's less dangerous than those idiots speeding through town constantly. And you know what? They still get away with it (mostly) without a hitch.

Everyone's seen it a million times, starting with the fact that we've all jumped a red light a million times ourselves and never got a ticket or a warning. Pretty sure this cop has seen plenty of others blow through a red light and just winked at them a million times, too. Or seen someone peeing behind a dumpster, forgetting their ID, or speeding, or breaking any other one of those countless "trivial" laws broken every single day. All without a second thought. But what's the point of those laws anyway? What's the point of his miserable shifts if he's only ever going to go after major criminals and dangerous people?

I wasn't asking "what wouldn't happen." Obviously this shouldn't have happened, he wouldn't want to rewind time, and neither would anyone else.
So, what are you suggesting? That we scrap the laws about crossing the street entirely, or that they should just never be enforced in practice? Or maybe you think they should be strictly enforced every single time, which honestly sounds like the most extreme idea of the three.
