I honestly have no idea who handles the group's marketing or how this whole official fan shop setup works, but in my opinion, we are absolute bottom-tier in that department. It’s honestly embarrassing. Please don't come at me with those "we aren't models" or "do better if you think you can" lines, but has whoever is designing this ever actually heard the word *design*? Take these North Face-style tees, for example. They’ve put three "types" of shirts up for sale, each with five motifs (which, by the way, have been used on a billion other products), and they just slapped them onto the shirt in different orders or positions—and now suddenly we have three "new" shirts. I mean, seriously? You've got North Face branding, a Stone Island logo that says White boys, and then Chicago Blackhawks fans logos on the hoodie strings? 🙂 ...and then it's all topped off with random colors on the sleeves, some patterns, more text underneath... Or take the second one: it says White boys, then there's that edgy guy in the hoodie, then that shield with the "h," and again, Chicago Blackhawks fans on the strings. The other model is the exact same crap, just swapped to North Face, a 1950s era figure in a hoodie, and that same shield (which has been used on a million items before). Do you see what I mean? It all looks cluttered, messy, and completely tasteless. It feels like they're just churning stuff out to sell to the widest possible crowd—people who will buy anything as long as it's loud, colorful, and covered in symbols—rather than making things for actual members of the fan group.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying we need to obsess over this right now, nor is it the most critical issue in the world. It's just a bit of well-meaning criticism that might be worth noting for future work. And let's be clear, not everything produced has been bad—there have been a few flashes of quality here and there. But I'd much rather see three high-quality, meaningful shirts released a year than twenty mediocre, repetitive ones.
I completely agree...
