I watched it too, but it didn't really do much for me.
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
It was awful the other night, right at the start. I was tossing and turning all through the night and most of the morning, completely losing track of what was a dream and what was reality... Once I finally got up, it eased off, but this morning it hit me again. My legs were killing me; I could barely walk, dragging myself along like an old lady, and of course, that lower abdominal pain... I had to go back to bed immediately because I just couldn't handle it. Usually, my cramps aren't this intense; they typically come and go without much notice. I really dislike taking medication unless it becomes absolutely unbearable. Instead, I just curl up in bed, sip some tea, and try massaging the area... Honestly, being a woman can feel like a curse sometimes.
Thank you...
Yes, I have had HSV 1.
About ten days ago, I developed a rash over my body (urticaria)... I'm not quite sure what triggered it... regardless, I had to stick to a strict diet, and I've been taking Medrol and Synopen... plus I'm still on Letizen, Escontral, and Peptoran. During this time, I've felt incredibly weak, listless, and moody... and I've lost weight too.
I also have CIN III, and right before the rash appeared, I underwent a colposcopy (it's possible the rash is linked to that).

So, given everything going on, it wouldn't surprise me if the tests indicate some kind of infection.
I would like to continue with the beta-glucan and vitamins, but someone else on this forum suggested I should probably wait because of this recent rash.

Here is what I found regarding these levels:
Elevated white blood cell count: bacterial infection
Conditions that cause an increased white blood cell count include infections, inflammation, tissue damage (such as a heart attack), severe physical or emotional stress (injuries or surgeries), burns, kidney failure, lupus, tuberculosis, rheumatoid arthritis, malnutrition, leukemia, and various cancers.
The use of corticosteroids (which might be my situation since I was taking Medrol), adrenal insufficiency, thyroid issues, certain medications, or even having a spleen removed can also lead to high values.

Decreased neutrophil granulocytes (neutropenia): viral infections, brucellosis, tuberculosis, rheumatoid arthritis, bone marrow disorders, or a Vitamin B12 deficiency.
Increased lymphocyte count (lymphocytosis): viral infections (Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, rubella), toxoplasmosis, or brucellosis.

Should I post the full report?

Back on September 6th, these numbers were perfectly normal... WBC 7.2, neutrophils 59, lymphocytes 24.
I've been dealing with some yellow discharge for about 4 or 5 days now, and at times it seems a bit slimy. I was wondering if this could be a reaction to the colposcopy I had done last week, or if it might be something else entirely?? 😕 My period isn't due until the beginning of the month...
vividsailor7 said:The HSV 2 test came back negative, so you don't have that.
Since the HSV 1 was positive, you currently have it in an active phase during this outbreak, so please make sure to notify your gynecologist.

Just one more thing... those "units" I mentioned earlier are likely called titers. Those should be determined as well, but they aren't listed here at all. I actually called the CDC to ask about it, but I'm not sure if they misunderstood me or what, because they just told me to follow up with whoever referred me so I could get more information there...
Thank you, I called today because I was expecting my father's test results, but even after a month, they still haven't arrived, despite coming in on Tuesdays. They will likely arrive next week, so I will inform the OBGYN about these findings then and see what the next steps are...
Excuse me, does an HSV positive result mean I have it (either one or both), where HSV 1 is still active but HSV 2 isn't? Or perhaps that I don't have HSV 2 at all? Does this imply that I could be infectious even without any external symptoms?

Or does this negative result next to HSV 2 mean it was never present, or rather, that I haven't contracted it yet?
Hello, if anyone could help me make sense of these lab results...
HSV serology report

HSV IgM - POSITIVE - (EIA method) - reference values: pos >1.1 neg HSV 1 IgG - POSITIVE - (EIA method) - reference values: pos >1.1 neg HSV 2 IgG - negative - (EIA method) - reference values: pos >1.1 neg HSV 1 IgG WB - POSITIVE - (WB method) - reference values: neg
HSV 2 IgG WB - negative - (WB method) - reference values: neg

I don't really understand these reference values... there's nothing listed under result and unit, which should be there. Based on this, it looks like I don't have HSV 2, but I had those symptoms about a month ago along with everything else. I felt terrible, almost like a severe sore throat—everything just ached... and then a sore appeared on my lip for the first time. I saw both a gynecologist and a dermatologist, but neither could give me a clear diagnosis at the time. So, I went seeking a second opinion at the local hospital, where they sent me for more blood work through infectious disease specialists. I've never had this in my life before, so maybe that's why the reaction was so intense. They say almost everyone carries HSV 1 from a young age and experiences it at least once... but I'd never had any issues until now; I've always been perfectly healthy, aside from the occasional cold sore. Now, I seem to have picked up both, even though the person who likely passed it to me said they'd been inactive for a year. It’s just awful that this happened to me...
I managed to sort things out. 😉

This is how it looks:

Is there really no one available to answer my question? I am simply asking you to take a look at the image in the link...
I only have one question, and I wasn't quite sure where to post it, so I hope I haven't wandered into the wrong thread... where on this map can I find the Clinical Microbiology Institute - Virology Department? I'm looking at it and trying to piece it together, but I just can't figure it out... could it be under 6, 10, 11, or 19... or somewhere else? 😕
This is what it looks like:
I was browsing and accidentally clicked over to the pregnancy sub-forum, specifically the thread about what the mucus plug looks like. I figured it would be better to just copy my post here instead.

I’m not pregnant, but while I was showering just now and turned down to rinse off, something popped out that looks exactly like that "mucus plug" you all talk about. I have no idea what it is—I've never experienced anything like this before, and honestly, seeing it was quite a shock. It looked pretty gross... kind of slimy and stretchy, similar to the picture. I've also had some occasional itching down there over the last few days, so maybe it's some kind of inflammation? About two weeks ago, I noticed some painful, red bumps that looked like pimples, and my first thought was definitely herpes. However, my gynecologist was stumped, and the dermatologist also suggested it might just be folliculitis... who knows. Anyway, those bumps have cleared up, but I'm still going to get tested for STIs and I'm waiting on my Pap test results. I'm certain I picked something up, but this thing that just came out has me really confused. Does anyone know what this could be, considering I'm not pregnant...? 😕
Thank you. That is exactly what the doctor said, though frankly I don't care; given how much my symptoms were bothering me, she just prescribed Azimed, which I took for three days.

The doctor underlined this part and noted I should wait until my period finishes before providing the urine sample... I suppose that's how it works.

Urine Sediment
Erythrocytes - 5-7 ..0/neg(x400)

If you'd like, I can provide the full blood count so you have a clearer picture...

Liam Neeson in Movies ·
Brenda Parker5 said:So, Liam Neeson😁 is easily one of the best actors to ever grace the screen—he’s worked with the absolute cream of the crop in Hollywood over his massive career, turning out some seriously heavy hitters: The Suspects (1987), Next of Kin, Darkman, Under Suspicion, Shining Through, Ethan Frome, Schindler's List, Nell, Before and After, Michael Collins, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, K-19: The Widowmaker, Kinsey, Kingdom of Heaven, Batman Begins, Seraphim Falls, Taken, Five Minutes of Heaven, Chloe, Clash of the Titans, The A-Team, and Unknown (2011)!

Early on, he was mostly doing heavy dramas, then he pivoted toward thrillers, and now he's basically the go-to guy for those big action spectacles!

He is just incredible as Peyton Westlake / Darkman, Oskar Schindler, that legendary Qui-Gon Jinn in SW, he was great in K-19, and man, he absolutely crushes it in Taken!
*plus some other standout roles in Under Suspicion, Nell, Batman Begins, and his more recent work in Unknown—which was Unknown-very good👍

All-all, he's just top-tier talent🙏

I finally sat down to watch that movie yesterday, and it was truly phenomenal... the tension builds from start to finish. Just when you think everything has been resolved, boom...
I find myself in agreement regarding his vocal tone as well...
