Laura Castillo7 said:Just tell me one thing—does it hurt? Should I be looking into some kind of local anesthetic?

It doesn't really hurt.🙂 I am well aware that you shouldn't go removing a lump too soon after surgery, given the risk of inflammation.
Hello, everyone! I have some wonderful news for anyone currently stressing over a bump on their nose!! I had mine fixed 🙂 about four and a half months ago. Honestly, my only concern was this visible bump right at the base of my nose. Well, today, the Doc simply extracted it with a needle, and it’s gone—completely vanished! :-) Apparently, a tiny fragment of cartilage or bone breaks off, and during the healing process, fluid collects around it, creating that stubborn lump. It turns out the whole thing can be resolved quite simply 😉.
Laura Castillo7 said:My whole nose feels soft right now. They told me it's just swelling—fluid buildup. My doctor mentioned it should settle down and tighten up over the next few days, but honestly, even now, it feels great. I just hope it stays this way. According to him, it can only get better from here. But get this: my nose feels soft, almost like there isn't even bone in there anymore. Does yours still feel like that?
For the moment, I don't feel any lumps at all. I'm also hesitant to keep poking at it constantly because I don't want to mess anything up. Since I don't have Lymfni Corp involved in my case, I won't be heading there either.

I didn't touch my nose for an entire month, so I suppose I just skipped over that "soft" phase entirely. It's not soft anymore; it feels completely normal.
Laura Castillo7 said:When did you first notice that lump? Was it right from the start?
And is the texture still soft along the length? Look, people told me it’s perfectly normal and that it’ll eventually clear up, but honestly, whenever I touch it, it’s just... ugh.

I can't say for certain if I've had it since day one. I remember my nurse during a lymphatic drainage session pointed it out to me—so, maybe around the three-week mark? It's hard to tell if you can spot it immediately because of all the swelling. Did you have yours right away? Also, I don't quite follow your second question.
Laura Castillo7 said:My face looks totally distorted, and I have an exam this Tuesday—so, one week from now. I’m wondering if I’ll even be able to show my face in public. If I can't, what's even the point of studying? 😉
But tell me, was your upper lip really swollen? Mine is pretty bad; I feel so stiff. I want to be able to smile, but I just can't...

And did you ask the doctor about that lump? What's the verdict? Is it visible, or can you just feel it?
Oh, right—did the people at Lymfni Corp show you how to do the lymphatic drainage massage yourself?
Has your nose changed at all since the surgery?
That's a lot of questions, isn't it?

It'll definitely still be noticeable in a week; it doesn't exactly work overnight 🙂. I didn't notice much swelling in my upper lip, though I couldn't smile normally at first either. A girl at Lymfni Corp told me to massage everything downwards, except for that area between the eyebrows, which goes upwards. My nose didn't end up looking swollen or thick like it has for some other girls; mine stayed pretty much the same 🙂, unlike those who see it changing day by day 🙂. As for that lump, I'm heading in for a checkup soon. I'll let you know what they say.
Laura Castillo7 said:Jesse Taylor7, how long did it take for your facial swelling and bruising to clear up?

Two weeks in and my bruising was gone, but that swelling lingered much longer than a month—not severe, mind you, but definitely noticeable. It’s been two months now, and everything looks fine except for this persistent swelling right between my eyebrows. In the mornings, I can just feel it, but by evening, it actually becomes visible. How are things on your end?
Amanda Ramirez42 said:If we are talking about an injection, then it stays right where it was put. You poke the area; if it feels firm and immobile—meaning it isn't shifting along with the rest of the tissue—then it's likely an injection. This is typically done when removing a hump in the middle to ensure everything stays balanced and achieves that slightly rounded shape.
Anyway, I haven't had this done myself, but my surgeon explained it to me before the procedure. He said the actual need for an injection becomes apparent during the surgery itself, once the hump has been excised... anyway, I hope that helps you out.

Thanks Febles, that clears things up for me.
Amanda Ramirez42 said:That spot between the eyebrows could be from applying seasoning to the top crust. Did you ask her where that came from? If we're talking about an application, shouldn't that be noted in the discharge papers?

Hey Raymond Wells2, it doesn't say that here. Could you clarify what you mean by that? Does 😕
actually pass?
I’m assuming those larger swellings are just lumps where the surgeon had to grind down the most bone. Who told you they’d just disappear after three months?🙂
Adam Johnson said:Hey, so where did that bump go? Did it just migrate from where the previous one was?
The whole area around the old bump is still slightly swollen. I look like I've still got the lump, just a much milder version of it. 😢

Supposedly this lasts up to three months... and then everything will be flat again. 🙂
At least, that's what I'm hoping for. 🙂

Hey Al! The only bump I have is right between my eyebrows.
Elizabeth Bennett15 said:Jesse Taylor7, regarding the swelling, I really don't have anything to report. The only thing I notice is that by late afternoon, the tip of my nose feels slightly swollen. It lasts until the morning, and then by around 10 or 11 AM, everything returns to normal. But honestly, it’s all perfectly normal considering the surgery was only six weeks ago. Everything is still quite fresh...
Do you still have that bump at the bridge of your nose?

I do. That spot is a little tender when I touch it. Did they break any bones during your procedure?
Ryan Green2, tell me, is that swelling at the bridge of your nose still hanging around? 🙂
Laura Castillo7 said:Just checking in with you all. I was absolutely wiped out yesterday. I feel alright for now, I suppose, though being confined to this bed is becoming a real nuisance. Honestly, I can’t wait until they finally get all this junk cleared out of my system. And frankly, I'm dying to know what my nose actually looks like right now. With everything going on with it—inside and out—it looks massive. It's impossible to get an honest assessment.

Lina, I am truly glad you saw that through.🙂
Elizabeth Bennett15 said:Hey Jesse Taylor7, I honestly don't have anything to say about the bumps. I really hope they stay gone, because apparently, things can change quite a bit up until the 3-month mark. They say those bumps are just a normal part of the recovery process after rhinoplasty—at least, that’s what the experts claim!
I have my follow-up scheduled for after 3 months, how about you?

As for lymphatic drainage, I went in for a session once and my face ended up completely inflamed. They told me it was totally normal, and suggested I contact my dermatologist later. Well, my dermatologist told me to stop doing them immediately to prevent making things worse. She pointed out that while these drainages are recommended for severe swelling, in my specific case, the swelling had already subsided by the time I showed up. Yet, after leaving my face looking so swollen, the lady working there insisted it would be best to do about 5 or 6 more sessions... who knows who is telling the truth here? (It seems obvious to me there might be some sort of arrangement going on, where they push these treatments just to line their own pockets rather than actually helping the patient). My dermatologist advised me to just massage my nose myself, and so far, everything is great!!!

Hey Ryan Green2, I've been scheduled for my check-up after 2 months (interesting 🙂 )
Laura Castillo7 said:Jesse Taylor7 and all the other girls who went to see Glumičić, how is the healing going? Any lumps or anything like that?

Hey Laura, your big day is coming up soon 🙂. As for me, my nose feels great. No lumps, no nothing—except for that little bump right at the bridge. It’s actually shrinking, though, so I'm not worried; it'll clear up. I think everyone gets that, since it's just where the bone was broken. Best!
Elizabeth Bennett15 said:Hi everyone!
I had my rhinoplasty done a month ago with Dr. Glumičić, and I couldn't be happier. I have nothing but praise for the entire clinic staff and, of course, for the doctor himself—he is truly outstanding!
For me, the bruising lasted about two weeks, while the swelling hung around a bit longer, maybe three weeks. Everything is perfect. I don't have any bumps or anything like that, and I really hope it stays this way!

Hey Ryan Green2, do you happen to have a little bump right at the bridge of your nose?
Carol Peterson71 said:Hey, I haven't used that ointment (Heparin) either because my sister told me there was no point—I asked her about it the other day when we were taking off the mold! But how long am I actually supposed to be using this stuff? And do you have issues with blackheads? (I never dealt with them before, but now they've suddenly appeared—little black devils, really😈). How do I get rid of these pests? Should I just go grab those Dove patches?
The base of my nose is still swollen☕
Write back👋

Hi! Honestly, I don't think you need the ointment anymore since the internal cuts have healed up. I only apply mine if I overdo it with cleaning 😁, basically whenever I irritate the area. As for blackheads, I've always struggled with them. The trick is to steam your face first—open those pores up—and then it works much better. For me, there's this sort of bump at the bridge of my nose. It gets more noticeable in the evening, but I feel like it’s slightly smaller than it used to be. Everything is slowly returning to normal; nobody can even tell my nose looks smaller 👍, only the people who already know. Write back! 👋
Grace Hernandez66 said:It was on the left side at first, and even creeping up toward the bridge of my nose. Now, it’s settled mostly on the bridge, though there's just a tiny bit left. If I touch it, I can feel a slight ridge, a sort of transition in the skin, but that isn't the real issue here. The real problem? That stubborn, baby-pink redness right on the bridge of my nose. It simply refuses to budge. It won't fade. It won't retreat. I’ve tried using concealer, but it’s useless; the color just shines right through. I am trying my best not to spiral into a panic, truly I am. I'm waiting for my appointment with the dermatologist. I just don't understand it. Why hasn't the redness receded? It has been months—literally months—and yet the discoloration remains constant, even though the swelling has finally gone down. How does that even happen?😕

Pepsi, hey. I’m dealing with some redness on my left side and down the middle too. You should probably give your doctor's office a call about that irritation—it’s likely nothing serious, but you'll feel better once you get a professional opinion. Maybe there's a cream that could speed up the healing process? Also, I'm a bit confused by that Heparrombin cream mentioned; apparently, it's supposed to be used, but I haven't tried it myself.
Carol Peterson71, let me know once there's any actual movement on this 👋 .
Carol Peterson71 said:Hey, what can I tell you? It’s been exactly one month today and I still have those dark circles under my eyes, plus that same swelling at the bridge of my nose just like yours!🙄 I massage it myself every single day😉 but are you actually going for lymphatic drainage? I haven't even been able to smile normally yet—my face feels so stiff—and only one single stitch has come out! Everything is moving at such a snail's pace, though I’m waiting patiently☕ while simultaneously😵 going crazy.
Keep writing, keep writing, keep writing!

Hey Tom! I'm glad you reached out.🙂 I went to lymphatic drainage once😁 , but honestly, I'm never going back. I look in the mirror from below and it looks like there are threads poking out of my nose. Only one of mine came loose. That little lump, that bump... it really worried me. I called the clinic and they told me it's perfectly normal, that I should just keep massaging it and that it'll shrink over time🙏 . In reality, nothing is bothering me. I feel like I can smile more naturally now. My only real concern is making sure I don't end up with a permanent lump.
