Maranath,
come, Lord, into the land of my people.
Maranath,
bring joy to all my people.
Maranath,
come to us quickly and stay forever... stay...

Well, I’d much rather hear him talking trash against them than actually siding with them. 🕺

As for taste—you know, Elvis Presley, doom metal, whatever... people are free to argue about that stuff here, right?

It’s honestly nice to see someone actually showing some affection for once.🙂

Too many of them, honestly. It’s getting to the point where I can barely follow what they're actually singing without looking up the lyrics online...

Dennis Hall41 said:Right, my mistake... I totally forgot how melodic and catchy Cannibal Corpse can be.😁

Look, it’s just a different kind of art form entirely. I don't believe in pigeonholing myself into specific genres. Even if extreme metal is really the only thing left these days that actually pushes boundaries, I still find plenty of other things worth following...

The way they sing is just so conversational, which makes it really easy to listen to... And if you actually pay attention to the lyrics, they're pretty heavy and sad, assuming you know the story behind them.

The first alternator to produce alternating current was a dynamo electric generator based on Michael Faraday's principles constructed by the French instrument maker Hippolyte Pixii in 1832.

Steven Newman50 said:The issue isn't a lack of free time; it’s more about how some users vote for an album and then just vanish from the thread, while others feel like they're just making suggestions without any skin in the game. Sure, we could easily tighten up the formatting or set new rules—like saying if you don't contribute to the discussion, your suggestions won't be considered until you actually sit down and listen to the Album of the Week instead of just popping in here with that mindless, repetitive behavior... but what we really want is for people to actually engage in the conversation. This subforum has picked up lately because of all the concert news, but when it comes to the actual music, the discussions have really dwindled...

As long as you moderators maintain this mindset that everyone *must* behave a certain way, this whole thread is going to be pointless. Adults have lives and responsibilities that take precedence, so sometimes they just don't have the time. I, for one, am still working today.
If there’s enough interest, it’ll work, and if there isn't, it won't. It works that way everywhere else, too.

I honestly think I’m the best candidate for this job. I promise that on my very first day, I’ll start by banning baribba just so we don't have to stare at those photos of his anymore, all that garbage drugstore music will be wiped from the platform, and everyone will be required to kick off their posts with "Blessed be the God of Israel."

Issues converting PDFs to Microsoft Word? in IT Support ·
John Cook72 said:From what I recall, things get pretty messy because the PDF doesn't actually recognize the original text structure or paragraph breaks; usually, you just end up with a disjointed string of individual words or random lines of text

It’s only really workable if you only need to make a handful of tiny tweaks...

I actually misspelled the name earlier—it’s Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, which honestly has some solid tools for editing PDFs. The main thing is that you need a standard PDF, not one that's just been scanned in as a flat image. I've been using it for years now...
The only real headache I've run into is when the text in a PDF uses some specific formatting that my version just doesn't seem to support...
