Car Insurance: What are your experiences? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
My daughter was in a car accident during her driving lessons—literally her second day on the road. She had come to a full stop at a crosswalk, and then some idiot slammed into them from behind. Both she and the instructor ended up in the ER. She’s dealing with whiplash in her neck and shoulder, while the instructor took a bit more of a hit; he's out of work for two months doing physical therapy and stuff. The driving school owner has collision coverage through AT&T, so his vehicle damage is covered, but the two of them have to file their own personal injury claims. My daughter already submitted all her medical records, filled out the claim forms, and provided her bank info.
Any idea roughly how much she might get for damages in a situation like this? They told her the payout should happen in about 2 to 3 weeks...

Could someone please do me a huge favor and drop a link for an online stream? 🙏🙏🙏
Wage garnishments and collections in Law ·
I just received a notice regarding some unpaid utility fees. The debt is broken down into several different amounts based on the dates, and the oldest one actually has a due date of March 12, 2008. The rest of them date back to May 2012. This entire debt was left to us by my late father; my sister and I are the co-owners of the inherited apartment he left behind.
My question is, can I actually file a claim for the statute of limitations against this notice? Specifically, can I contest that oldest amount from 2008? And if so, what is the timeframe for doing that, considering they haven't even started any formal collection proceedings yet?

They finally made a call on Webber—wait, I mean Ricciardo. 🤷
Thanks 😁
Good morning—any idea when the race starts?

My account just got frozen due to a levy. I rely on regular social security benefits coming into this account. I actually went ahead and set up a protected account at my bank through the IRS back on April 4th, making sure to provide my SSN and the sender's info for those social assistance payments.
The social security funds hit my checking account on April 5th because the agency hadn't received the specific protected account number yet.
Then, on April 8th, the bank went ahead and handed over the entire amount of my protected funds to the creditor—even though my protected account was already active. Is there any way I can demand they reverse the transaction and return the money they weren't supposed to release? Since the protected account was already open, shouldn't those funds have been shielded?

Thanks

From your lips to God's ears.🙂

I've known her since we were kids. She’s incredibly talented when it comes to drawing and design. She's actually been in Singapore since Wednesday, visiting as a guest of the Red Bull team.

Kosmodisk in Health ·
I’m going to skip talking about Kosmodisk since I haven't actually tried it myself. Instead, I'll share something based on my own life...
I used to be really active—cycling all the time, every single day, whether just for fun or because I had to. Then, suddenly, I just stopped. My spine has always been an issue, so I used to rely on certain routines to keep everything in good shape, but over the last year, everything just changed.
The worst part? It’s so obvious what’s happening. Muscle atrophy in the area supporting my spine is causing all this pain. That's basically the whole story. Some mornings, I can barely even get out of bed (and it's not the mattress, because we already replaced it), let alone bend over. It’s clear there’s no other way forward than to start exercising again to rebuild that strength. For anyone physically able to do it, that’s really the best move. Just do whatever you can manage...
