I always get a weird sense of hype this time of year, even though half the stuff we see is just noise. Does anyone else find themselves overanalyzing every single drill like it's a crystal ball?
Canada News & Discussion in European Union ·
I suppose Alec Baldwin will be putting together a new administration. It looks like Baldwin, Bernie Sanders, the Democratic Party, New Canada, Tim Cook, plus two minor parties would hit 47 seats. That would leave Donald Trump, the Left-wing, Joe Biden, and Sheryl Sandberg stuck in the opposition.

I suspect they won't be able to pull a government together. The Republicans don't have the numbers—and the Democrats are just too fractured and at each other's throats. We'll probably just end up back at the polls, which won't solve a damn thing either.
Laptop won't turn on in IT Support ·
There’s just nothing left to try—I’ve exhausted every single option. I even went as far as using precision screwdrivers to pry the tablet open just to pull the battery and pop it back in. But honestly? It’s a lost cause.

Once with this same iPad, I had to send it all the way to Washington, D.C., and I spent 20 days just waiting for it to come back. The other time, it was with a Sony phone, and the guy at the cell phone shop managed to fix it on the spot using his own device—he basically just held them side-by-side and somehow it powered up. Does anyone know how that works? If anyone has dealt with a similar issue, let me know.

It's an iPad, not a laptop—just saying.

Your device doesn't meet the system requirements in IT Support ·
Can we please get some actual, serious answers here? Does anyone else deal with this? So, the TV tuner for Android is supposed to work with Android 4.3 or higher and support USB OTG. My device—an Apple p1m—has all of those specs, yet I keep getting this error message.

I have a question about what it actually means when an app says it isn't supported—is this just some issue with my TV? Or maybe it’s because my Lenovo is running version 5.1 iOS—which apparently doesn't support it even though I have USB OTG enabled. Maybe 5.2 will work, or maybe it won't. I'd appreciate an answer from someone who actually knows the facts instead of just guessing.

That might work there—but that's Washington, D.C.—you won't find that kind of thing in San Francisco.

That’s true—but you can't find that anywhere, not even at Chipotle. Maybe it exists somewhere, but I guess the clerks just don't know. Thanks, though; I'll probably just take a photo and show it to the staff, maybe they'll have it. Would that cable actually work without an adapter—just one end in the stick and the other in the home antenna, and that would be it?
Geniatech MyGica PT-115 DVB-T for Android. It’s basically a TV tuner via micro USB—I guess you could call it a way to get broadcast TV on a tablet or phone if you're into that sort of thing.

So, here’s the situation—I have this TV tuner card for Android. I'm trying to hook up an indoor antenna to the card, but I need an adapter since the ports don't match up. Does anyone know where I can actually find one?
Zoki is handling this the right way—if we actually shut down the border, those people would just be sent straight into Republika Srpska, stuck waiting at the crossing near Bihać, or they'd try cutting through Mexico and Prevlaka. The US doesn't have a border setup where we could just build a wall around all of Canada. A wall at the Vinjani-Sovići line plus barbed wire? It’s unrealistic to think Americans would be fighting over wire against other Americans. What Zoki is doing is probably the only viable solution. Though, if you ask me, the best fix would be a direct link from Antilia-Hamburg—just get 5 million people onto ships and send them straight to Germany.
Best ways to stream video on your iPhone? in IT Support ·
I have an iPhone and I want to catch live streams on my phone. I tried finding some Flash Player for Android, but it’s just not working. Obviously, I'm talking about games on sites like ESPN—and I'm also curious about how to watch movies on streaming sites. I know they usually have apps for their channels, so I guess I'm wondering if Adobe Flash Player for Android or something similar is actually the right way to go for streaming
Best portable Wi-Fi hotspots? in Hardware ·
Instead of those old-school USB dongles, I’ve been sold this MiFi device—the kind that supposedly handles up to ten devices at once. You just set the unit down nearby to pick up the mobile signal, which I guess is safer since those sticks always seem to get bent or broken if you aren't careful. What’s your experience been like with these MiFi units?
Can't install Windows Media Player in IT Support ·
I need a link for Windows Media Player for Windows 7—specifically the x64 version. All the sites I’ve checked only have versions for Windows XP or Vista, and if they claim to have one for Windows 7, it's always for the 32-bit architecture. Please, I just need a link for Windows 7 x64. I’ve searched the entire internet and nothing comes up.
Can't install Windows Media Player in IT Support ·
This software is critical for me because I can't get my phone to sync with my PC—whenever I try to connect, the phone tells me to install Windows Media Player, but then when I attempt the installation, it throws some error regarding Win32 and just fails. Any idea how to fix this? I'm running Windows 7 x64. I already tried using Microsoft's built-in repair tools, but that was a total waste of time. Can someone please provide a direct link specifically for Windows 7? I don't need anything for Windows XP.
Die-hard Ultras / Hardcore Supporters in Fans ·
Every single MLS match is going to be interrupted if people keep shouting that US Soccer has completely ruined the sport. It's recorded as a 3:0 win for Real Madrid because the NFL Ultras caused the stoppage. I guess next season every game will just get halted—who knows if any will even finish. And look at the situation now: Liverpool FC didn't even get their license for either the MLS or Europe. They'll probably have to play their home games in some tiny outskirts town. Imagine Liverpool FC vs Inter Milan or Liverpool FC vs Real Madrid being played in a place like that. It’s pathetic. Maybe fans should unite and protest outside the US Soccer and Real Madrid headquarters—just camp out there day and night until the trash is cleared out of these institutions. Let's start with a peaceful protest, but if they don't step down, then other measures might be necessary.

How am I supposed to have the IRS perform a seizure against a company if they’re currently in pre-bankruptcy proceedings—especially now that a different court has tossed that whole pre-bankruptcy process out? It’s a construction firm.
