You are essentially paying a premium for overpriced sugar...
Thoughts on Thor: Love and Thunder? in Movies ·
I just finished watching this... honestly, it felt a bit much. It was way too sugary and colorful, almost like someone ran over a clown. There were parts where the pacing dragged, and I didn't find much humor—at least nothing particularly good. I’d say it's the worst Thor movie yet.
It's fine enough to watch if you have the time, but I wouldn't bother seeing it in theaters. Maybe stick to other media instead.

5.1/10, just enough to scrape by the halfway mark.
Do my feet smell? in Off-topic ·
It probably ranges from 0 to 2, depending on how much cotton is actually in the socks.
The higher the cotton content, the less odor you'll deal with. With synthetic materials, the smell tends to soak through your sneakers after a full workday and hits you right in the face. I’d say maybe a 9.95, but I don't work that kind of job anymore.
The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
Betty Murphy3 said:That is precisely my point—I say it constantly. What difference does it make if nuclear assets are in Ukraine or Alaska? Does it matter if they are positioned in the Baltics or in Germany and France? Putin is a madman; far from being intelligent, he's completely lost his mind.

If he had any sense, he’d realize he could launch a nuke at Moscow from basically anywhere, and those submarines hitting the Baltic would take out ten of them without breaking a sweat. How does he think he can maintain control? Does he honestly believe the entire world will stop spinning just because of Russia? The fact that he hasn't managed to win over anyone in his own neighborhood speaks volumes about him and the Russians. They are losers—for the last hundred years, they've only succeeded in harming themselves and everyone else, and no one is ever going to change that reality.

Sure, the West has its own idiocies and its own rot, but it possesses an economy that everyone wants to be a part of. Meanwhile, Putin has weapons and half a country living in poverty. It’s baffling that Ukraine wouldn't want to be a Russian province—so according to certain logic on this forum, it's somehow "legal" to rip them apart just to prevent them from joining the West. They claim it's to avoid becoming a threat to Russia or to prevent an invasion via the USA and NATO—what infantile, hollow nonsense from Putin and his circle of sycophants. It’s unbelievable that Russians are fighting for this sick individual; if anything, it proves they aren't any braver than he is. Honestly, I wish the same fate upon them as he gets—straight to Siberia.

There is actually a massive difference here. Medium-range missiles have a range of 500-373 miles miles. If Ukraine were to join NATO, there is a very high probability that Moscow itself would fall within the strike range of those medium-range nuclear missiles.
It is true that the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) are quite close, but that is still relatively marginal. A strike from Ukraine, however, would be more than easy.
The Americans nearly started a global war when the Russians placed missiles in Cuba, and back then we were talking about a distance of nearly 1243 miles miles from Washington, D.C.

I don't support the Russian invasion, but trivializing, demonizing, or downplaying Russia's status as a major world superpower is not just incredibly foolish—it's arguably what led us to this situation.

Sent from my CLT-L29 using Reddit

Bodybuilding.com is pretty pricey...

Maybe check out a protein outlet shop; they can be decent sometimes...

Matthew Johnson30 said:Looking back at Zei's posts and how he categorizes body types, I'm honestly not sure where I fit anymore. 😁 I might just be skinny fat.

I suspect those categories reflect a snapshot in time rather than a permanent state. I was an Endomorph as a kid, then transitioned to Ectomorph from high school through my late 20s, and now I'm more Mesomorph. I don't think any of this is set in stone...

Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to grab some and use it for that final meal of the day.

For me, casein was a massive game changer. It helped me fix my late-night junk food habit since I have a major sweet tooth; you can make something that tastes like a decent pudding to satisfy those cravings before bed. In my opinion, it's top-tier...

Does anyone know if someone who tested positive for antibodies—meaning they already had COVID and their body built up immunity—still has to go into self-isolation if they're flagged as a contact?

I haven't had any issues with Covid, but when it comes to politics, I’ve practically given up on commenting entirely. The current situation is just unacceptable, or maybe I just don't have the energy to play these games. So, I’m joining the complaints, because the bias on certain topics is quite obvious, which, of course, completely ruins the discussion.

This is what sits "at the top" of the general rule forum, in the very first post:

The shortest summary of the rules: please be polite and well-meaning toward other users on the Forum. If that is how you normally behave, you don't even need to read the more detailed rules.

I really like this. I think this should be the fundamental rule for any forum about anything, though I wouldn't say it's the beginning and end of it all here...

Wage garnishments and collections in Law ·
neonpuma7 said:A quick question for the group.

I owe Citibank two monthly installments. If I miss one more, they will likely move forward with a writ of execution. Neither my wife nor I have any way to cover this.

The loan amount is $20,000, and it has already been restructured over a 20-year term.
I am also making regular payments on a $6,000 loan at JPMorgan Chase.

My spouse is currently unemployed, and we have two children. I am inquiring about the availability of child benefits or related assistance under these circumstances. $133.
I suppose my salary has been processed. $1400.

I am curious whether a bank can garnish my spouse's life insurance policy, specifically regarding the premiums that have already been paid into it. $4000 I suppose I should ask, what exactly expires regarding the 2G?

I am a one-third owner of the apartment we currently live in. This property was granted to my mother, my sister, and me as a benefit for our family following the passing of a veteran. I am wondering if a bank could actually seize this apartment even though I only own a one-third share. If that were possible, how would they actually carry out that process in practice?

I hope I wasn't being difficult.

Thank you.

They will most likely freeze your bank account first. I suggest opening a protected account where you can receive the portion of your income that is exempt from garnishment (about 2/3 of an average salary in the US). Also, child benefits are generally exempt from seizure.
