I’m just not out here harassing anyone about Alonso. 🤣

How can I not? Your trolling regarding Fernando Alonso and Ferrari is just as "productive" as anything coming from the other side...

Except it's obvious to me that all you McLaren fans are having a massive identity crisis right now. Your prince ran away and left an empty stable, leaving nothing behind but......

finally decided to show up.

I can actually stand behind my words. Can you?

I feel like I’m spending way too much energy—and honestly, losing my patience—trying to have a rational conversation with the Ferrari and Alonso fans here. It’s starting to feel less like a debate and more like a cult, which I think someone pointed out earlier today.. I do want to give a shout-out to the exceptions, though, like Amanda Kelly—she’s one of those rare users you can actually exchange logical arguments with, even when we don't see eye to eye on everything..

It just feels like there aren't enough people left who haven't been completely blinded by their favorite drivers or teams. It seems like most discussions have shifted toward nothing but blind worship of certain icons, usually accompanied by tearing down anyone else in their path..

Please, just show me one single post—not four or five—where you actually attempted to have a normal conversation.

The whole system glitched out before we even got going, so drivers could trigger DRS anywhere on the track. Race control didn't have a damn thing to do with it.😳

Again?
I honestly don't get why Alonso decided to go full throttle with the DRS immediately on the very next lap after his first pit stop. It was such a massive gamble. They should have just played it safe and waited for the next window of regular pit stops to try and make that move. Instead, he basically threw away 20 seconds just for the sake of being aggressive.
Fine, let him run up a 50-point lead... he’ll just have a better view of himself crashing and burning later.
stormybadger8 said:Like I said, it all comes down to the start... but unfortunately for me, Ferrari looks like the absolute powerhouse on this grid.😢
We'll see, though. Hope dies last.😁

Sure, but eventually, it dies too.
Tomorrow is going to be way too early...

I might just add this to my signature.

Suddenly he's your favorite, huh?

Interesting...
Last year, Alonso was sitting on a 9-point lead. This year? He’s trailing Vettel by 9. Funny how that works.😁

Funny how that works. Last year Ferrari was a total joke, but this year? They’re an absolute beast. 😵🤔😍

So I've reached my conclusion: he's twice the driver this season compared to last.
neonfalcon16 said:I don’t know about you all, but I find this schedule completely nonsensical. We’ve got a mere week separating China from Bahrain, yet we had three whole weeks between Malaysia and China. You don't need a PhD in geography to see how poorly this is laid out; it would have been much more logical to have a break between China and Bahrain.

There are plenty of those three-week breaks and consecutive back-to-back races this season. I’m not a fan either. Why they chose this specific pattern, I haven't a clue, though there's bound to be some logic behind it somewhere.

Maybe Bernard figured the tire situation would be particularly intense this year, so he's giving us three weeks to just vent all that frustration...

I’m just fascinated by how he consistently finds a way to outdo himself...
stormybadger8 said:It's over for Ferrari.🤣
Pirelli finally buckled under the pressure.😁

The Soft tire is out for Bahrain. We’re stuck running on Hards and Mediums now.😍
Red Bull taking 1st and 2nd while Mercedes grabs 3rd and 4th? Absolute joke. And don't even get me started on Ferrari—they aren't even in the conversation. 👋

Yeah, because Ferrari was just so incredibly fast on those Softs...
Just a quick side note on the opening post: Bernie didn't actually run out of cash back in 2011. The Sheikh basically brushed it off, saying there was no need to sweat over such a minor detail...
Amanda Kelly said:It’s not exactly a cakewalk (if you even win), and calling this competition a joke is a stretch.
If Kimi actually pulls this off, I’ll personally bow down and offer my sincerest congratulations.

But let's be real, he won't.
Based on what I've seen lately, Alonso and Vettel are basically neck and neck, while Kimi is a notch below them. In my opinion, those three should be the ones fighting for the title.
Lewis is another step down from that group.

Besides, Kimi's being a total brat. He didn't want to drive like this back when he was at Ferrari. He just played the part of the lazy guy.

He's a grown man now, and significantly more communicative, too....
Rebecca Fox4 said:Don't you worry, we're going to steamroll this joke of a competition☕

If the competition is a joke, I assume the winner will be too, right?
I don't know... I'm happy about Fernando Alonso's win, but at the same time, I feel a bit foolish. It feels like I'm being served a cheap, greasy burger when I was expecting a high-quality, juicy steak... or maybe some fresh sea bass.

I'll give things a little more time to settle before making a call, but right now, the whole situation feels like one giant blowjob... I really hope, God, I really hope I'm wrong about this.
neonfox65 said:Alright, then you explain to me what on earth that 5/5 was supposed to mean...

Just let it go. Why are you even entertaining his low blows? It's obvious he just can't handle seeing the kid grow up to be a little brat—which, frankly, is exactly what a champion should be. Now he’s just grasping at straws, trying some cheap diversion tactics to shift the attention.
redheron12 said:What are your thoughts on where McLaren stands this year? I honestly don't see them fighting for titles with this junk—though I'd settle for them just not being an embarrassment. Word is they've identified the core issues and are prepping a "service pack 1" to hopefully see a much better showing at the Vietnam Grand Prix 🙄

I’m finding it exhausting to root for McLaren lately—just constant, baffling mistakes, scandals, and terrible results. Without Ron Dennis around, it feels like we've lost our way; the drivers are mediocre, and the car is always a mess—whether it's tires, balance, or downforce... it's been years of this struggle 😕

It really feels like Formula 1 isn't even a priority for McLaren anymore 😢

Ferrari spent twenty years eating dirt before they finally got their act together. You guys will hit that same wall one day too.

Jason Campbell70 said:The fact that everything announced so far has actually happened is telling.
Right after they unveiled the car, they admitted the aero package was nowhere near what we'd see in Austin.
Then last week, they announced they’d show up to the final testing session with a new exhaust design.
And they did.

A few days back, I caught a quote from one of the team principals saying we shouldn't expect the full F138 spec before FP1 in Austin.

Still, it can't be any worse than last season, right? 😬 Back then, we were lagging by over a second per lap during those first few races.

Oh, and just so we aren't only talking about Ferrari... I read that Williams is prepping an exhaust style similar to Lotus or Red Bull for tomorrow. We'll see.

Of course the car is better than it was this time last year. That’s a given. The real question is how it actually stacks up against the rest of the field.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
