Handball Euro Finals: Mexico vs Denmark 19:21 in Other Sports ·
Terry Rodriguez41 said:I can’t even recall ever watching a match where both sides managed fewer than ten goals by halftime🤦 absolute garbage of a game, Denmark is going to walk away with a five-goal lead at the end...

Let's go Denmark; they'll handle this routine job😁
They are simply the stronger, more polished side, regardless of how much those referees try to screw them over (given we're playing against a neighboring country)😁
darkmarlin8 said:Look at this crowd! They're going wild! Way to go, boys!

What a classless bunch of people; they certainly deserve every bit of the boos they’re receiving right now.
Since they managed to reach the bronze on home soil, why don't the Americans show them how real handball is actually played? 😁
Chris Fisher3 said:In my estimation, an America vs. Spain matchup would have been the true championship game of this tournament, given that they were clearly the two most dominant teams on display.

What kind of nonsense is this? Are they really trying to deny us a bronze medal match in front of a packed stadium? I’ve had it with these organizers and their endless list of excuses...

I am perfectly content soaking up our victory and ignoring the jeers from those primitive Mexicans who will never be part of the European Union.😍

Steven Reed30 said:The most frustrating part of this entire situation is that the French have clawed their way back into contention following today's victory, and the fact that they managed to beat us only serves to keep them firmly in the hunt. It leaves me with a nagging sense of dread; what if they decide to save their absolute best performance of the tournament specifically for when they face us? 🙄

Forget those Frenchmen; I can't stand those blue-clad "Czech stallions" one bit. 🤣
Is it simply a matter of whether one views handball through the lens of water polo? One has to wonder: which discipline possesses the greater diplomatic leverage when it comes to influencing the officials on the floor?
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the EHF president—that Norwegian fellow—decided to appoint another duo like Pederson and his colleague to act as the arbiters of justice for the rest of Europe. Given how things are headed, they’d likely hand out assignments involving officials similar to those who presided over that final in the States, where everything seemed meticulously orchestrated just to ensure a victory for the French.

What kind of sport is this, where one side—the Frenchmen—is busy throwing heavy punches, while our guys just tap a player and suddenly there’s a two-minute penalty because apparently they "killed" someone?

Is it any wonder why Americans don't bother playing this sport? It seems only the most unrefined individuals would find any merit in it.

How much can a single official actually ruin a game before a person loses all desire to even follow the sport anymore? 🤣

Steven Reed30 said:Kopljar scored... and he did it with style 😲😲😲

Why does Kopljar seem so terrified of taking a shot? He stands well over six-foot-six, and even when he’s driving toward the hoop at speeds exceeding 75 miles mph, he hesitates. 🤣

He constantly falls back on passing as an excuse, which only makes it easier for the defense to shut him down.

Perhaps Kopljar requires some sort of psychological intervention; he seems paralyzed by fear. He ought to take a page out of Buntić’s playbook: just let it fly and deal with the consequences later.

Even when Kopljar does decide to shoot, he tends to fire low toward the floor instead of attacking the rim with that aggressive verticality you see from those Scandinavian players.

What happened to all that potential? Kopljar had it in spades, yet he refuses to evolve, remaining stuck in a state of total stagnation year after year. 🙂

How on earth am I expected to hold back my criticism of a man who performed so catastrophically? It was as if he had just stumbled out of a strip club and wandered straight onto the court.

He has carried us through many battles before, but today was simply not the day for such a performance.

If Balić truly played as poorly as he did during this game—and let’s be honest, he did—then I say he deserves to be publicly torn apart; how can we tolerate such a star behaving this way?

Perhaps he should take a page out of Moamer Ilić's book and learn how to play like a programmed machine, devoid of those amateurish and foolish mistakes. 🤣

Those Frenchmen just don't suit our style; their defensive approach feels more like wrestling than handball.
Vori won't see a single clear shot, as the Dinar defense will likely dominate the court.
Karabatić and Narcis are set to deliver a championship-caliber performance.
Goluža will ensure the top talent stays sharp by managing rotations from the bench when necessary.
Just a few more days until we head back home to the States.
What kind of players do we actually have to take on the global handball stage, only to come away with nothing?🤣

As most people on this forum suggest, why not just send Balić back to America, drop him off with a truckload of Marlboro, and let him enjoy life along the San Francisco Embarcadero with the ladies, while letting everyone else play 😉

Grace Adams32 said:I simply cannot wrap my head around this constant emotional whiplash. One day we are certain to reach the semifinals—hell, even the finals—and now, suddenly, people are already writing off Ivan Balić and Voria? This constant oscillation between pure euphoria and utter despair is exhausting. 🤷 Yes, we squandered possessions today like never before, and yes, the referees made several pivotal calls that swung the momentum in their favor, but the tournament is far from decided. We have seen how unpredictable this championship has been; anything can happen, and any team can beat anyone. With two games left on the schedule for everyone, there is still plenty of drama to unfold.

Look, you can barely manage a win against a team like Malta, let alone handle the French if you're playing shorthanded against nine men. 🤷

It makes me wonder if we truly belong among the top 150 nations in this miserable sport according to the IHF.
How many times has Balić been declared the greatest handball player on the planet? Perhaps those pundits could spend less time nursing their beer kegs and actually acknowledge who the true master of the game is.

The recurring nonsense involving officiating becomes more infuriating every single year. If the entire world is just envious of our talent, then perhaps we should just walk away from the sport entirely.

When it becomes obvious that a referee is completely incompetent, they ought to be slapped across the face; maybe then they’d find the courage to actually hand out a red card.

That citrus picker from Memphis...☕

When experience takes a backseat, Gobac gets the final say.
There are plenty of athletes out there who are more skilled, more gifted, more striking, and hungrier to prove themselves—but what can one truly achieve when the world of sports is dominated by a political mafia operating through its own shadowy lobbies? ☕

And here they go again, our local pundits broadcasting an interview with Karabatić, a man who has consistently been our greatest nightmare on the court.
The centerpiece of the American squad🤣

Billy the Kid doesn't have a clue; the moment he steps onto the court, he starts losing possession, leaving us wide open for the Spaniards to run all over us.🤣
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
I have managed to resolve the issue; it appears the solution is simply to strip away all those redundant USB hubs and leave nothing connected but the mouse and keyboard, which results in an immediate improvement in boot speed.

Benjamin King2 said:What does the boot process look like when you trigger Safe Mode? Perhaps you should attempt a System Restore to revert the machine to a point in time before these issues surfaced. Did you happen to install any new software, drivers, or other components during this period?

No, I haven't changed anything; the system simply began behaving this way out of nowhere one day.
The welcome screen lingers for about thirty seconds, and then, after an agonizingly long wait while the OS initializes everything for normal use, it finally becomes functional. 😕

Joshua Garcia3 said:@Brian Campbell36: Perhaps the Windows updates were simply being processed in stages—some during the shutdown sequence and the remainder during startup? Is this delay happening every single time the machine boots up, or was it merely a one-time occurrence?

I am certain of it; the welcome screen hangs for thirty seconds, followed by another thirty seconds before the system finally settles into an idle state.

I have attached the Windows 7 report regarding this specific issue, which indicates that it takes approximately 180 seconds before the system reaches a functional operating state.

I have yet to encounter an issue quite like this one; after several days of perfectly stable operation, my Windows 7 x64 system has suddenly begun requiring two full minutes and seven seconds just to reach the desktop before I can even begin to use it properly.
There is no evidence of malware, the machine is equipped with 8 GB of RAM, and I maintain it with regular cleaning, so this sudden instability is entirely unprecedented.
Does anyone happen to know why the system is spinning its wheels so excessively? (I have already tested the hard drive, and it is functioning perfectly)🤷
Carol Newman2 said:Mexicans 🤦

Lazarov, what absolute despair 😁
The Mexicans have only themselves to blame here; it was nothing more than a counterattack followed by a complete defensive breakdown that allowed a clean goal. Could we at least hope for the goalkeeper to make a save?
Now, I am simply waiting for the inevitable onslaught from the Mexicans, who always seem to indulge in such incredibly hyperbolic statements. ☕
Does anyone happen to have a reliable stream for the USA vs. Denmark match?
I'm having some trouble accessing the official EHF site; for some reason, it keeps telling me the video is unavailable 🤷

Where does everyone usually go to watch these games? Does anyone know of a decent live stream—ideally something like Sopcast—that actually works?
I find myself utterly unable to stomach watching our own players on the court lately. Instead, I find my attention drifting toward the Americans and the Russians.
The Canadians maintained control for the vast majority of the match, yet in the end, the Russians managed to escape with a 19:19 draw. How does a team hold such a lead only to let it slip away like that?
I am attempting to access the footage via the official EHF website, yet I find myself completely obstructed. Every attempt to view the recording results in an error message stating that the video is unavailable. Is anyone else experiencing this technical failure? 🤷
The stands are nearly at capacity, and the crowd is absolutely packed with Canadians.
Our turnout was underwhelming, to say the least. As for the actual performance on the court? It was an absolute disaster. Regarding what one fellow commenter wrote previously—that assessment was nothing short of a total catastrophe, much like that performance by Marko Kopljar.
Buntić stepped in to restore order to the chaos, whereas Kopljar contributed almost nothing during those opening twenty minutes.

It appears to me that there is once again an undue emphasis being placed on Kopljar.☕
darkmarlin16 said:Spain 👋 🎉

Twice we saw the Americans trailing by five, and twice the Frenchmen managed to pull ahead with a 3-0 run to close the gap to just two points.
In those final ten minutes, there were far too many unforced errors, penetrations, and rushed shots that lacked any sense of composure.
They were actually quite lucky the match wasn't even and that the French weren't sitting on a one-point lead instead.
Omeyer was completely invisible tonight, though he always seems to find his rhythm when playing against Americans; he suddenly starts racking up 20+ saves, particularly when facing Lacković and the wing players.
As for Karabatić, it was an absolute disaster—the sheer number of penetrations he committed during the offensive phase was staggering.
If you ask me, that penalty shouldn't have been called; it looked like a penetration in the offensive zone first, but then again, we are dealing with the French, and their seven-man advantage often provides them with that extra bit of assistance.

An American victory is expected, but in the meantime, does anyone happen to have a decent stream? I’d at least like to see the ball if nothing else. 😁
Adam Collins4 said:The Spaniards hold a three-goal lead at the 20-minute mark; Homrados is performing exceptionally well, while the Americans are struggling with an excessive amount of unforced errors...

The Spaniards are playing with a methodical, patient rhythm right up until they raise their hands, utilizing a stagnant defense before driving toward the goal...

It's +4 for the Spaniards at the 22nd minute...

The Americans are running a 5-1 formation with their specialist, but it isn't yielding results just yet; the Spaniards are reaching the line quite easily, even though most of their scoring comes from outside. Omeyer isn't stopping anything besides the penalty shots...

The officiating is excellent. It might be premature to draw conclusions, but it appears as though the Spaniards are systematically dismantling the Americans, maintaining a steady 3 to 4 goal cushion...

A +2 advantage for Spain at halftime...

Typical American performance—they've narrowed the gap from -4 to -2 by halftime. The officiating is mediocre at best; surely they can do better. A Spaniard gets penalized immediately, yet the Americans aren't called until they grab an opponent by the neck or tackle them to the floor. Spain is playing well, having secured their lead through swift counterattacks and rapid transitions into offense.

Why isn't the other brother, Gille, on the court?
If you don't mind my asking, which link are you using to stream this match?😁
