Fair enough, but you could see the difference in quality all the way from Mars.
I try not to get ahead of myself by saying "these guys are bad, we'll beat them," but I watched them against the Mexicans, against Iceland, and against Norway, and I wasn't impressed by any of it.
If the judges hadn't robbed them, those broken-down Mexicans would have caught up to them; Iceland ran over them, and they only beat Norway by pure luck.
They played against two heavyweights (us and Iceland) and folded like a cheap lawn chair.
Today was nothing more than routine.

Wilbek is a great coach who has consistently shut us down at major tournaments.
To his regret—which he’s frankly admitted—there just isn't enough talent available right now to challenge the US national team.
It was almost painful watching those two kids at the World Championships and the Olympics banging their heads against Gojunov's defense.
We even messed up our wing play in that 6-0 setup because we didn't even need to cluster in the middle thanks to those two.
Honestly, they're nowhere near our level right now, and certainly not on par with Iceland.
