The Flaming Lips were just okay for me... the show was great, though—tons of kitsch and color, felt like wandering into a theme park, giant creatures, massive balloons exploding with confetti and all that 😍, but musically? Totally mediocre 🤷

But seriously, it would be awesome to bring something like that to Americans (the same ones who were throwing lighters at Pharrell or whoever, if I remember right) 😁

Just so every girl can find someone she’s into... 😁

Anyway, regarding Hold Your Colour: Slam and Fasten Your Seatbelt. I haven't really listened to them before. Their live shows are just total garbage to me.
not even 😢

Of course. Front row, right in the middle of the teenagers. Brenda Scott14 is our official stylist...😍
😍

If this actually happens at Carnegie Hall and we get maybe 20 people there... man, I think it would be the best ExxonMobil concert ever 😍

You just can't admit when you messed up, can you? Instead, you just go straight to insults. We aren't in some small town where everyone gossips about everything... nobody's going to laugh at you if you just own your mistake. 🙂

Get it together... ☕

mistypanther said:Those are just thread reactions that stay ON-TOPIC and address the stories being told; they provide contextually appropriate feedback for the posters. They were made by people who were also participating in the discussion properly. What you’re doing here is the equivalent of going to an ESPN forum and starting a thread titled "Football is total garbage."

I know you're bored, but seriously, try opening a thread like that on a sports board. See how it goes.

No. Your comments are nothing more than an attack on the thread and its participants.
It's completely baseless. If you think a thread is stupid, or the people in it are, then just leave. It's really that simple.

Anyway, that's my final word on the matter. Thank you.

Whatever, it doesn't really matter. I just wanted to point out how lopsided the moderator power seems to be here.

mistypanther said:No. You were trolling. You didn't "comment" on the thread; you spat on the entire premise of people sharing their stories, which is off-topic by definition. If you want to critique that specific type of confession, go start your own thread.

Or just stay on-topic for once.

What is the point of providing a "critical review" of someone else's life story and their personal interactions within THEIR own space?

It’s like reading a novel and using a highlighter to scribble notes after every single paragraph. Or at the end of a chapter—it doesn't matter. It's obnoxious.

Bottom line: you were trolling. You were even being rude to some of the other posters. Deleting those posts was more than justified.

P.S. I would have deleted Gnothi's comment too, but unfortunately, he's the moderator of this subforum. He isn't going to delete his own post, obviously.

Hold on a second. Besides the fact that you aren't even the moderator of this subforum... 😬I think it’s just hypocritical... supporting comments that say "great thread, this helped more than therapy, genius!" when those are actually replies *to* the thread itself. You can't just pick and choose to support only one side of that sentiment... it doesn't make sense.

I’m saying it again, both of these are just thread comments. One gets a pass, but the other doesn't? Fine. Then let's have the same rules applied to all comments...

Thanks for clearing that up. Honestly, I wouldn't have gotten it without you... 🙂

Then we get to that whole thing where moderators get away with stuff that "regular users" don't. I've heard from some reliable sources that this isn't even an isolated incident... they let this specific user slide on things that would get anyone else banned. It’s clearly becoming a pattern...

Are there other mods on this sub too? People they can't just delete... 🤷

Some posts just got nuked on "When you're a miserable Šupendara", including a few of mine.

Doesn't really matter though. They were just discussions from a more serious standpoint, offering some constructive criticism on the whole thread. Apparently, they got wiped because the mod doesn't like theory or something... who knows. It's whatever.

But now I see one of the subforum mods steering the conversation in that exact same direction (link to post) and it hasn't been sanctioned—not even the replies to the comment. I bet Gnothi actually has a much broader take he could share on the thread just like I did, but since he isn't "IGRIV"...

Anyway, my question is: why was this morning's discussion deleted, while Gnothi's comment stayed up?

Thanks 🙂

I mean, it probably wouldn't make my moment to die any more beautiful—actually, it’d likely do the exact opposite—but that's the first thing that pops into my head. "girls just wanna have fun" would probably make things better though...
hey
I’m actually kind of glad they aren't showing up, haha...
Works for me. 🤷

I just thought it’d be easier on your mental state. Like, if you actually want to see those bands—if you're dying to catch them live—there’s no point in stressing out and obsessing over a wishlist...
Just rain... again. Everything feels heavy. Just sitting here watching it hit the window... nothing else to do. [Username] says:
Because it is... $83 Better than leaving... 🤷

Yeah, I forgot... not everyone's got money or even the ability to work...

I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that... what was it? $83 And you definitely won't see it all... 🤷 It’s not about being smart... it’s just, when you list out all these bands, why isn't it easier to just scrape some cash together and drive up to Austin or somewhere... instead of just posting wishlists on forums and then complaining when they don't happen? 😲
Why wouldn't you just go to a festival if you want to see all those bands in one spot? 🤷
