Regarding the situation in San Diego, it’s become a standard pattern where the local crowd kills the attendance numbers, regardless of whether anything actually happens. I remember a few seasons back when the locals were already packing up and leaving before we even reached the stadium. At one point, people were questioning if anyone would even show up to the big game, and eventually, only one bus and a car made it to the stadium while most of the group stayed behind in LA. I know for a fact a good chunk of the ultras went to support the local college team against the state rivals instead—I still don't get how a group can just ignore their own club like that, but hey, their choice. Then there was that season with the clash outside the stadium; everyone who showed up unorganized got detained by police, though nobody who was part of the main group was touched. There was just one bus worth of people there before the fight broke out; I suspect they arrived during or after the chaos just to get picked up and put in a cell rather than being in the stands. Last time at the stadium, maybe 20 or 30 people were detained right at the gate entrance for nonsense like having the wrong haircut or whatever...😁
there are plenty more examples like this, both here and elsewhere.

I don't get it. Is the point of this post to imply I'm some teenager or a total amateur??🤣🤣

Look, I couldn't care less about your comparisons. Compare whatever you want. Just be careful—if I state a few undeniable facts, you'll probably spin it as if I'm worshiping the Armada. Give me a break.

👍 That’s it. That is what I was looking for. Now we can actually have a serious conversation..😁

Steven Garcia3 said:I see exactly which teams are in that photo, just like 90% of everyone else.

I don't get what the issue is. They look good enough to me. 😁

Steven Garcia3 said:110 people at the coastal derby is weak. Just like our 250 in a small suburb or 600 at the stadium—it’s weak. Be realistic. Don't come at me. I posted a photo of 1,000 people in total delirium during one of the club's biggest European defeats; I didn't expect that kind of turnout or energy from you guys.

Exactly. You have to be realistic. Even in these tough times, your numbers still outweigh ours, and they always will. That’s just basic logic when you consider you're coming from a massive metropolitan area with supporters spread all across the country. You seem to have forgotten that our core base is centered right here in Cleveland and the surrounding ring. Not to mention, the success of our local clubs is a massive factor in our numbers. Honestly, I'd go as far as to say you guys are struggling while we—given everything—are doing quite well. If we're being realistic, like you said...😉 Give me a break. One-sided logic shouldn't rule here. Even though what you wrote isn't exactly right, you’re somehow "correct" despite being wrong. I guess since you're from New York, you think you're always right even when talking nonsense. I don't get it. You tried to draw a parallel to London, but I already explained why that's stupid, and I'm sticking to my guns: what you wrote was garbage.

Steven Garcia3 said:Look, no offense, but I can’t even compare BBB to any other group in America besides The 12th Man. But since you’re an Armada fan, let's be real—you're easily in the top five in the country. You can blame being in a slump for trailing 2-0 by the 25th minute, but that level of support was pathetic. Only a fool would expect London-style energy from you, but you have to admit one thing: when you think you can actually play well and end up getting shelled 4-0 by a Tottenham, you're in more trouble than if you had just spent ninety minutes driving down to the Stadium for a game you didn't even expect to win. That’s exactly why I expected some chaos at the Stadium. Most of us with decent away experience know how this works: if you don't create a frenzy, you usually end up with a dead atmosphere on the bus or train after a loss. I expected that from you, but like I said, the whole scene outside of The 12th Man is declining—whether it's quality like you, quantity like us, or morality like Kohorta.

Typical tunnel vision. Professional deformation at its finest. You need to realize you aren't living in Italy where you see crowds like ours at some third-tier stadium once a month. Get real. Based on these attitudes, maybe you'd prefer a league with just two teams—we all know which ones—split into two groups, because everything else is useless. Look, man, you have to be a massive fanatic, truly obsessed with your roots, to support clubs like those in small towns. Respect to The Boys who show up and love their colors. As for the fans in Cleveland supporting a club like this, they probably all deserve a psychiatric diagnosis 😁 but The Boys are above all that... 🤷👎 and again, your comparison makes zero sense.

Anonymous said:You nailed it, big ultra.

I tried to bold something but realized I had to select everything, so I gave up.

My friend, 🤣
like I already said considering everything, the whole situation and how 70% of the group has been swayed, don't worry. Like Terry Lee3 said, there have been times when we cheered for 90, 120, or even more minutes 😍👍 and people were going wild. People read this stuff and act like the only metric for a good away game is stripping down and "going hard." I wrote about the Armada's originality and staying true to their own vibe recently, didn't I? 👍 I think if The Boys stripped down in London, then the Armada should too. Why? To prove themselves, right?? 👎 Ridiculous.

p.s. The pyrotechnics in the North were excellent.
The Armada in Fans ·
Terry Lee3 said:Over 110 people in this situation is a solid turnout, if you ask me. Nobody is blaming The Boys for not showing up in that small town in the USA, so why would they blame the Armada? Let me repeat: 70 Armada fans were detained in that small city in the USA just because one tiny splinter group messed around with The 12th Man on the road. They got banned for a year.☕

Regarding turnout, given how many people actually showed up, it was quite good.
The Armada in Fans ·
Steven Garcia3 said:Maybe so, but aside from The 12th Man, every group in America is on the decline, especially Armada. This looks like one pathetic showing by Armada fans. They shouldn't have used those cheap home-printed signs in Cyrillic; everyone took photos, so now there's proof of how few they actually were and how poorly they cheered.

Comparing this to Armada? What kind of logic is that? I can't believe you're making that comparison:

-An away game for fans whose club is actually competing in Europe—by the way, that photo is from famous London, a city that acts as an aphrodisiac and a proving ground for any visiting fan group from anywhere.

-Versus an away game for fans whose club is sinking deeper and deeper in some hellhole city in the US (not saying that city isn't a notable away trip, though).

The level of delusion here is unreal... 👎👎👎
The Armada in Fans ·
What did you expect? Everyone just going to strip down and "die" from cheering once the game was decided in the 25th minute?

Dammit, just give us some kind of complex other than an empty stadium (since that clearly isn't working, it's doing the opposite) so we can actually change something... because things can't go on like this.😁

You're from New York, where else would you find such trouble?
The Armada in Fans ·
Jacob Newman74 said:The fact that you're whining about "stadium trends" just shows how unoriginal the Armada actually is—always chasing someone else's vibe. You call yourself an expert? Give me one actual, coherent example of how the Armada is anything besides a carbon copy today.

If we weren't "unique" and "original" alongside a powerhouse club like ours, the Armada wouldn't even exist anymore.

- I already know exactly who I'm arguing with and the level of intellect involved here. The chances of you grasping this are slim, so I'm writing this for everyone else reading rather than for you. (By the way... compare our stands to any other group in America. Look at their crazies, their banners, their presentation, and everything else that defines a supporter group. Draw that parallel to us, and that should answer your question about whether you'll ever understand this... though I highly doubt it).

Good grief...🤣🤣🤣
unspecified, you really are a piece of work. A word of advice—don't stress about being "hardcore" or whatever. You're still a rookie at this. If you love Cleveland, just keep loving it. Go to the stadium, cheer, and leave it at that...
The whole ultra-hardcore vibe and those specific antics went too far anyway (the local hooligans are a perfect example; they practically destroyed themselves). As for our group, we always tried to do things differently, aiming for originality, and we should stick to that. I don't care if someone shows up to the West stands or an away game wearing team gear or a wetsuit; it makes no difference to me...

Next time you feel the urge to go on a keyboard rampage, try focusing. Don't jump from talking about the West stands to random nonsense about distant cities and Star Wars all in one post...
And yes, I still owe you a response:

Andrew White3 said:Look at the post
If you aren't happy in the West stands, then what's the issue? There are other sections, or even other teams.

unspecified:
That’s exactly my point. Those are the exact words... which is why there are 193 people in the West stands...
So, once again:

unspecified:
I won't comment on other groups because each has its own identity, but the main reason for our group's rise and fall was the result of the local club, plain and simple.
If you can't grasp that, you really are a piece of work... 😁🤣

redpuma49, are you related to unspecified or what??

Anyway, for Wednesday, everyone act as one under "MIB" (Men in Black, for those who don't know). I hear construction near the stadium is in full swing—from the ticket booths down to the end of the stairs leading to the West stands. They've dug trenches everywhere, so the atmosphere, the setting, and the access roads are going to be total garbage...🙂...😉🤣
I'll say it again: don't let me catch anyone hanging out in groups of three, or else.🙂

People in Cleveland have less national awareness than in the cities I mentioned earlier. Deny it and you’re just lying.
Listen, unspecified, here is your answer. You clearly didn't read carefully, so let me repeat myself:

unspecified
So you're one of those weird people found all over America who thinks if a city wasn't half-destroyed, it didn't participate in the war???!!!!
The war in Cleveland wasn't felt through physical destruction or civilian casualties, and thank God for that. If you want to claim Cleveland participated, you'd need to suggest they be leveled to the ground like an unspecified town. Educate yourself. Look at the burden Cleveland and its residents carried—from the massive number of people leaving the entire region to fight, to handling refugees from everywhere across the region.
unspecified
Regarding the view on the war, I think all Americans share a similar perspective if they are nationally aware, regardless of their city. I agree there are differences in what was lost or given, but why start counting blood cells now...
What I am trying to prove—which you stubbornly refuse to understand—is that you can't expect someone who had projectiles flying over their head, lived in a shelter, or was displaced, to have the same perspective as someone from our city. That's why national awareness is higher in places like the Midwest compared to Cleveland. But like I said, Cleveland has shown its national awareness, so don't worry about that.

I just don't entirely agree regarding the unspecified case..
The whole execution was pretty stupid, starting from that famous photo of him right down to dedicating 90% of the game to him.
Look, in that specific situation, I’m actually curious how you would have handled it "smartly"??
You say 90% of the match, and well, I guess that's how it was if you say so. (True, they pushed that one song honoring our fisherman quite a bit, but I don't see anything wrong with it—a little promo for him plus, from what I saw, people got a good laugh out of the lyrics)

unspecified
It’s not all bad though.. a few good runs by the club and the atmosphere will improve..
True, but if it's only those few good runs, unfortunately, history will repeat itself in the stands too

unspecified
If certain chants aren't considered extremist, then.. yeah, I don't get the logic..
Take the West side, the North side, etc., instead of listing them all, and the rest of the stadium; basically, all the sections besides the "fan" ones—what do those stands have in common, and what makes them different?
Well, what they have in common is presumably their love for the club and the national team they came to watch (and cheer on). What they don't share is a lot; I'd say they are "different worlds" within the same stadium. The group behind the goal didn't come to sit there eating popcorn; they came to CHEER. As for the repertoire of songs for the national team, there are maybe three "normal, catchy" songs in play (setting aside those sponsored plagiarisms from various local artists). You don't really expect the crowd to sing "Run for your lives" for 90 minutes, and you're delusional if you think they'll stick to old classics like "Green Grass Grows" or recent hits. It seems to me the saying goes "it's not the glass that's broken, it's the way it was made," plus add the fact that fans are inherently stubborn (forbidden fruit is always the sweetest). This means the more certain songs are banned, the louder and harder they'll be sung just to spite the people trying to stop them (and they try because we apparently need to make it to Europe, where everyone is such a cultured, civilized citizen, right?)
Try to wrap your head around what I wrote and you'll have your answer to my question. Whether you actually grasp it or not is up to you.

Monsters(Shepherd) Daedalus

We have a few people in our ranks who would make perfect mascots, kind of like those guys you see at a Red Sox game. 🤣

I still remember those old songs and chants from back in the day. What happened to those Navy guys like Pupavac and Magarac? I heard the second guy was basically living in junkie heaven.
Sorry if this is off-topic or if it’s been posted already.

Pupavac 🤣
The late Magarac was a legend in the group. We take pride in our history. Here's a clip:

I should have known this would happen. Your handful of posts filled with absolute nonsense finally pushed me to respond:

I don't know if we live in the same city or move in the same circles... or if you even understand me...

-Trivia for everyone who actually read my posts: where am I from? a) some nobody from the north b) some nobody from the south c) Seattle.
-We definitely don't run in the same social circles.
-To be honest, if I hadn't seen your username, I would have assumed you were some provocateur or a "hater" of the Navy coming from the other side of the river. You seem like a younger member trying too hard to act tough and pretend you "know the deal," but it’s just not like that. It's no crime; I wasn't like that at the start either. Back then, I just cared about getting to the stadium, casting my vote, and enjoying the atmosphere.😁

I didn't say people from Seattle lack merit in the war, they do... but they don't view it the same way someone from Cleveland, San Francisco, or Little Rock would..! The Navy and Seattle certainly proved their Americanism when it mattered, so it's foolish to even bring it up now.

You are completely off base. Your argument makes zero sense; you jumped from poor attendance numbers to the coach, then to Little Rock and Cleveland, and who knows what else—you'll probably claim the current economic crisis is why there are so few people in the West.
Regarding the war, I think all Americans share a similar view if they are nationally conscious, regardless of which city they call home. I agree there are differences in how much everyone lost or sacrificed, but what's the point in starting to count the blood spilled...
As for "proving Americanism," I'll repeat: there is nothing to prove here (to quote our colleagues from the coast—either you are or you aren't, and by 1950, it was settled)😍)

Those Axis-aligned tendencies were understandable—emphasizing right-wing views and screwing over the Mexicans back when the post-war euphoria was in full swing.

See, this is where your youth and "trying to look cool" really show through.
Friend, those weren't "Axis-aligned tendencies" as you call them; that was pure American defiance, grit, and the dream of a free and independent nation.

When different "youngsters" were living in Seattle.

Times were different then and they are different now, but don't forget—assuming you're talking about the Navy—back then and even now, there was only one priority (Seattle).
Don't make me quote you anymore; I could write sixteen more posts based on your few sentences just to prove how wrong you are.

I think anyone with absolutely no connection to the Navy or the fan scene would read your posts and conclude: damn, the Navy is just a bunch of thugs and nationalists. You seem to think it's fine if the West sings for George and Bob from the first minute to the last, but kid, what kind of stands are you even talking about? Get out, buy a beer, grab a soda, and stay out of politics; you're still too green for this. And I agree with our friend: if you aren't happy with the West, there are other stands and other clubs (just don't go to the stands with those sellouts from the suburbs; I hear drugs and alcohol have fried their brains, so they act like it's still the 1940s while having no clue who they even support nowadays).😁 A sailor has one, Daedalus—see, those are the real clubs.
The Armada in Fans ·
Too many people from the West got worked up over the "Smith case." I have no desire to reopen that debate.

Like I said, anyone who was a militia of Cleveland supporter for Hamas remains one.

A place where you barely felt the war; where most people couldn't care less about Nazi Germany or those other factions.

So you're one of those strange types found all over the US—people who think if a city wasn't half-destroyed, it didn't participate in the war?!!!!
The war in Cleveland wasn't felt in terms of urban destruction or civilian casualties, and thank God for that. By your logic, should Cleveland have been leveled like a hero city such as Stalingrad just to prove it participated? Get educated. Look into the burden carried by Cleveland and Clevelanders regarding the massive number of people leaving the entire Great Lakes region for the front lines and the handling of refugees from all over the Great Lakes.

In a city like that, pushing extreme nationalism or right-wing rhetoric is a total failure—just a way to prove oneself to other groups that successfully inflicted an inferiority complex on us.

What "extreme nationalism" are you talking about? Are you even informed about your own group's history? From the very beginning, the militia guys "pushed nationalism," not because it was a phase, but because they were proud of who they were and weren't ashamed to show it. As for proving themselves to other groups, every group does that constantly. It's nothing new, but regarding these specific issues, those guys proved themselves long ago.

For someone whose handle says "I know everything," there is too much nonsense in your text and your reasoning. No offense, but I am sick of this typical coastal mentality where people spit on their own kind. It's ridiculous.

PROUD TO BE CLEVELANDERS; PROUD TO BE AMERICANS
The Armada in Fans ·
Good evening, everyone. Since I have nothing better to do, I will offer my take on this discussion.

I won't bother discussing other groups since they all have their own specific issues, but if you want to know why our numbers fluctuate so wildly, look no further than the results of Hamas and the rest.

To elaborate (if you can call this philosophizing 😁)
People constantly bring up the militia in discussions about whether we're losing relevance. As long as this lethargy and inefficiency run the club, that will be the case. We could spend all day discussing the reasons behind this state—ranging from incompetent and indifferent executives to arrogant players who use Hamas as either a stepping stone or a cozy place to coast until retirement. Even when the club tries to show some backbone (like that recent scandal), the leadership of the US Soccer Federation and various political-sports figures quickly shut them down. For the big shots at the top, it simply isn't in their interest for Hamas to actually progress. Every year, it’s the same old cycle revolving around the most provincial club and our neighbors to the south. Given this constant gray monotony and the current performance of Cleveland, is it really any surprise that only a few hundred people showed up today? ☕(Fine, it was raining, so maybe some people preferred staying home to avoid catching a cold.)

Arguments regarding Smith or comparisons to certain extremist groups are nonsense. There is nothing strange about how the militia reacted to Smith joining the club; that reaction was exactly what was expected from this group. Claims that the militia's popularity in the city dropped because of it are ridiculous. Sure, there were disagreements, but that’s just typical for a Clevelander. Not everyone thinks exactly alike here, but our shared love for Cleveland is what matters. Those who were part of the militia stayed part of it, period. Our city has all sorts of characters, but everyone knows exactly what the militia of Cleveland stands for.

A few examples linking our attendance to the team's performance: during the last cup final in Chicago, which fell on a workday, 2,000 people traveled up. After a catastrophic performance and total embarrassment, only 20 people showed up in Great Falls a few days later. Then there was the cup final in St. Louis—again, a workday, but that didn't stop 15 buses from heading out. After the win and lifting the trophy, Cleveland went wild; the whole city was on its feet. That success kept people in the stands for a while, but after a string of bad results, the numbers drop again. It's a pattern.

I think Clevelanders just need a little push to get back into the stands, but clearly, given the circumstances I mentioned, asking for even that much is asking too much. Still, I haven't lost hope. Things will improve. One day, when things are better, no amount of black repression will stop people from showing up. Nowadays, with only 300-500 people in the West during a "small" game, it is much easier for the cops to single out the regulars and crack down on everyone else. In a massive crowd, it’s a completely different story. But like they say, after the rain comes the sun, and hopefully, that’s the case here too.
