ruggedgull11 said:analogheron19, you're talking absolute nonsense. You've completely lost the plot here. 😬

You're really talking out of your neck, man. Honestly, if we start letting all these hysterical types join the conversation, I'm done. There won't be any point in me even hanging out on LJS anymore.🤷

Rebecca Robinson47 said:I’m checking the forecast right now and it looks like there won't be any rain by Friday. I'm really crossing my fingers that Saturday stays clear too, because I am beyond excited and just can't wait to get out there!!!

@Angela Newman33/">@@Angela Newman33, I’ll try to swing by the drugstore tomorrow or Friday at the latest to check out the supplies. I'll let you know what they've got and how much it costs, though if I remember right, it was pretty cheap..

Just my luck👎. A bunch of hyped-up girls are arriving and I'm stuck here sidelined.😢

Angela Newman33, give me some props from the ladies, because I’m pulling a double shift this Saturday until 6 PM, so they won't even catch me in the building.
Christian Wright6, what kind of food are we even talking about here?

Angela Newman33 said:Now they’ve realized that if they show up on Saturdays to sweat it out in the yard, they’ll actually draw a crowd of attractive girls🤣

The only real drag is how freezing it is outside—nobody wants to strip down in this weather. But hey, what can you do? Nothing's ever perfect.🤣

Look, if it’s colder out, we fans are actually way more comfortable☕
If the goal is to pull in more girls (even if they just show up to crack open some beers), then I promise you the heat will take care of itself.👍

I see you have a real thing for garbage! Does that include bad boys with blue eyes?😁

Rebecca Robinson47 said:Hey, I actually know where you can pick this up for way less than $33. Unlike those other places that charge an absolute fortune, I bought mine there and the quality is solid... It’s over by Target in downtown Chicago, I might swing by tonight to check things out...

Another girl joins the club👍 yippee!

Angela Newman33 said:It's true. You get those people who talk a massive game, promising the moon and the stars, and then they just vanish without a trace. But then you've got the ones who catch you completely off guard by actually delivering some serious 🙂

The guys from the fan club are top-tier 🎉

TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS......😂😂

Angela Newman33 said:Look, I get it. It sounds trivial, but you'd be surprised how much those things actually cost. Even a basic towel rack runs you more than a few bucks at Home Depot $33 (assuming it isn't cheap plastic garbage)

Don't bother making excuses. Everyone claims these little things don't matter. Everyone says they have a spare moment to help, everyone swears they've got a huge heart, and nobody finds anything too difficult to do... until it's actually time to step up and do something. Then, suddenly, everyone's nowhere to be found.🤷

Angela Newman33 said:Quick update:

- We finally laid down the laminate in the main living area.
- Got that new wardrobe assembled.
- Installed the bathroom window.

We actually found a volunteer tile guy.🎉 🎉

- They offered us a cubic yard of sand and a few bags of cement, but we need to find a way to haul it all. Ideally, something with a trailer, because nothing bigger than that can even fit through the driveway.

Tomorrow we’re back at it, putting together more furniture for the room we just finished. Hopefully, we can scrape together enough cash for another 8 square feet of laminate—that's all we need to wrap up the second bedroom.

p.s. We’re also hunting for about 5 square feet of roofing shingles or tiles. We need to patch the roof ASAP because it’s leaking like a sieve right now. Used materials are totally fine.

This Saturday, following the game, there's going to be a party at the fan club to celebrate the group's 24th anniversary. Every cent from the proceeds goes directly toward covering the costs mentioned above. All fans are invited—come grab your favorite drinks and help us out. DRINK FOR A GOOD CAUSE!!🙂🙂

The painter didn't show up today, and now he’s ghosting my calls. What an absolute joke of a guy. 😢

Because of his laziness, the whole timeline is trashed—we can't lay down the laminate flooring, and the kids can't move in. Everything is stalled. 😢

I'll try to get a head start on the ceilings tonight myself, then once we all get together tomorrow, we can divvy up the rest of the work.

Do you have the gear you need? Like rakes, nails, shovels, stuff like that?
Fan-led charity drives in Fans ·
Does anyone actually need hands on deck tomorrow from 9 AM to 1 PM?
Fan-led charity drives in Fans ·
Angela Newman33 said:Yeah, and then we'll still be missing a shower stall, which I guess we can just scrape together the cash for whenever we finally need it.

Next week we’re having a massive blowout party🙏 and we'll get everything sorted out then. No stress.👍

Nathan Ramirez11 said:I honestly wanted to just tie up that little shack too... man, I was sweating bullets covering those 50 or 100 yards from the driveway to the front door, and the pup was practically leading me by the nose. Those two big hounds were sniffing my business the whole way, while the little one kept nipping at my pant legs the entire trip..☕.. I’m sending a Master your way this Saturday, so please, be good to him..🙂

The little one is a total badass when she's standing up to that brown beast (kind of like how you guys act when you're hanging out at a Dallas Cowboys game😁). But once that big one is leashed? You can't hear a peep out of either of them.

Nathan Ramirez11 said:I was out there today and it really hit me... seeing everything just feels heavy. I saw how much work the crew has put in (I can only imagine what it was like), ran into Satori🙂 and witnessed the whole scene. It’s a shame I lost track of my brain for literally five seconds, otherwise I would have absolutely crushed it over there..😍.. props to MaZGa though..🙏👍.. Satori filled me in on why you ducked out of work early and all that.. and honestly, hats off to analogheron19, I finally get it now—'his guys' actually show up and get their hands dirty.. and they really do!!.. those kids are incredibly passionate..👍.. seriously though, people, please leash those dogs in your yard (at least two of them), because it’s not exactly a pleasant experience..😁

You only need to leash one; the other two are basically just giant puppies👍
If there is any way I could get a text in the next couple of days regarding which contractors we need for Saturday morning (I'm traveling to Europe through Friday, so I want to avoid getting blindsided by costs), I'd appreciate it. That way, before I head out, we can swing back through Indianapolis in a larger group and try to knock out as much as possible between 1:00 and 2:00.

Sandra Garcia7 said:Just wanted to give the neighborhood a heads-up: two guys with all their tools are heading my way, along with me—and I’m definitely planning on grabbing a drink once we're set. P.S. We’ve already got the putty knives and spatulas ready to go, so you guys can worry about cracking open the beers.
Someone needs to give the local police department a heads-up that we’re showing up to the game in high spirits and ready to have a good time.

Perfect. Looks like I’m just going to spend my morning soaking up the sun and cracking open some beers. Honestly, what more could a guy ask for on a beautiful morning like this?🤷
Even the betting slips didn't pan out this time, so I'm buying drinks for everyone who stops by the shop.👍

Angela Newman33 said:there’s a massive mountain of work hitting me tomorrow:

- pile up all the trash for Monday pickup.
- sand down that drywall on the ceiling.
- patch the ceiling up.
- get that window installed.
- tear out the bathroom wall.
- rip out the tub and tiles and haul everything out to the curb.

Since you have no clue what tools the crew is actually going to bring, do yourself a favor and make sure you coordinate with the contractors to ensure everything you need is on-site. Consider the first two points and the last two already handled. Tearing stuff apart and leaving a mess behind? That’s just how we do things here.😁

silentsailor28 said:I don't know if Angela Newman33 is still hanging around here, but I’m pretty sure she was talking about garbage.

That truck was ordered specifically for Monday.🤷
There’s a massive pile of junk sitting out there right now, and they’re planning to clear that mess out tomorrow. Honestly, sending a truck in already feels like a waste of resources—it's just not needed yet.
By the way, the beer situation's sorted.👍

Angela Newman33 said:Guys, we need a truck, a van... a tractor... even a horse and carriage... I don't care what it takes.

I'm at my wit's end. 🤣

Are you talking about hauling junk and trash, or something else?

Angela Newman33 said:they're looking for some kind of controlled aggression🤣

Look, you've been hanging around this forum forever, so I'm sure you've got some pull with the mods. Just tell them to go ahead and ban every single person who refuses to step up and take action—no exceptions. We don't have room for cowards or losers here.
