Yeah, you've got a point there. It’s just like how in two months, there will be about 150 people crowded around the goalposts drinking beer while everyone else is stuck watching from the sidelines.

People, please, open your eyes. ☕

Prik, come on. That’s just poetic license. Don't start acting like a judge now. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm still waiting for an answer regarding authorship. A DM works too. ☕

OH, I LOVE YOU KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, OH, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, I LOVE YOU, YOU STOLE MY HEART, I’M COMPLETELY HOOKED ON YOU!

😕

And seriously, does anyone know who this poet is, or at least which subgroup they belong to? It would say a lot. I highly doubt this is one of my Shurikens. 😂😂😂

... just passing this along.

I’m actually relieved the Supporters Club assembly got pushed back—it feels significant to me.

The kind of person who steps up to the plate at Maksimir to lead the Black Knights doesn't really need an assembly to validate them, but I fear there aren't many like that out there. Maybe just one. The real question is whether he’ll be willing to make the sacrifice.

I’d gladly trade a kidney for a recording of those final ten minutes. Someone please find it. Dig through the archives or something.

Just hand over the kidney then. 😍

John Richardson5 said:As far as I'm concerned, they should just set the price at 500 bucks. If someone claims to be an ultra of Hajduk Split but finds it hard to cough up $100 a year (about 80 cents a day) for a subscription to help the club through this mess, then they don't deserve anything else, period.

We call ourselves fanatics and claim the entire Mediterranean Coast lives and breathes for Hajduk Split, yet we can't even pull together 5,000 subscriptions unless FC Barcelona happens to be playing here. It’s laughable and hypocritical. Honestly, I’m curious to see how things play out with these bonds; based on past experience, I suspect most people will stick to that old mantra: "They swear by Hajduk, but won't give them a single cent."😁

There you go, calling me a gambler just because I agree with you.

Personally, I’d be against changing the home field setup, but if the priority is strictly generating revenue, then I am all for maximizing ticket prices.

The North Stand should be at least $67 and the West Stand at least 500. That’s the only way I see any logic in changing the home match configuration.

Now, someone is inevitably going to say I've lost my mind. 😁

No. For this specific game, they’ll try to get people there who haven't stepped foot in Poljud Stadium in years, and we ought to charge them for it.

I’ve already stated that I have my subscription and I won’t be attending the match, because for me, it’s about that stretch of land between Pujanka and the hill.

Let’s recap my finances from the start of this season—not to brag, but to compare myself to a typical fan from the Mediterranean Coast for whom Hajduk Split is everything.

Paid $70 dollars for three memberships.

So far paid toward our Hajduk: $67 (there will be another 300 later).

Bought two subscriptions at $90 each (one more coming).

Travel costs for the Hajduk - 1200 dollars - Hajduk match: $67.

Travel costs for the California - Hajduk match: $63.

Travel costs for the 1200 dollars - Hajduk - Hajduk match: $400.

Total so far: $757, and the season has barely even started. 🤷

restlessbear25 said:Not one of the brilliant minds on this forum seems to grasp that we have to pay 4.5 million dollars to San Diego by July 30th.

To which account???

Just read this.

Hajduk Split's temporary suspension in their dispute with San Diego has been lifted, allowing them to play their first match of the new season without interference. The suspension was dropped because HNK Šibenik requested that the overdue debt (4.5 million dollars) be paid directly into their law firm's account.

Hajduk Split refused to do this, arguing that it isn't the official Club account to which they actually owe the money—a point validated by the US Supreme Court (and even the San Diego IRS, which sent instructions regarding this matter to Hajduk Split). The court temporarily lifted the suspension until the residents of San Diego provide the correct account for payment.

The supporters at Hajduk Split.org checked in with financial advisor Vlada Slišković to get clarity on what’s happening with frozen companies, their accounts, and their debts:

- This is a matter of paying someone whose accounts are currently frozen, Slišković explains. If someone has a claim against a debtor, it’s logical for the debtor to pay the creditor via their own account. If the creditor isn't blocked, they can instruct the debtor to pay a third party instead (to settle another debt, etc.), but if the creditor is blocked, they cannot issue such an instruction. Doing so would unfairly jeopardize other creditors who hold priority status over the intended recipient. Similarly, a blocked entity shouldn't be engaging in debt assignments. These actions essentially disadvantage the creditor's own creditors. For instance, if a creditor assigns their claim to someone they actually owe money to, they are effectively using a set-off to settle a debt, bypassing those with higher legal priority.

This rule exists to protect the current creditors of HNK Šibenik, who are the ones responsible for freezing the Club's accounts due to non-payment. Slišković points out that if Hajduk Split were to agree to pay a different account, they would be participating in a violation. Ultimately, this could lead to a situation where, in the event of a San Diego bankruptcy, Hajduk Split might be forced to pay the amount all over again. Considering part of the current debt is already disputed—since Hajduk Split claims 1.5 million dollars for Rukavina was covered by a sponsor, which the residents of San Diego contest—it would be absurd to put Hajduk Split in a position where they might have to pay everything a third time:

- Beyond the fact that these actions are prohibited and carry penalties for the debtor (Hajduk Split) performing "non-cash payments," such moves are also risky in a bankruptcy scenario. A debtor making payments outside the creditor's official account could find themselves legally obligated to pay again. In this specific case, if Hajduk Split owes San Diego, the payment must go to the designated checking account. - concludes Slišković.

HAJDUK SPLIT.ORG

Hajduk Split doesn't need to pay anything until July 30th, 2012. After that date, the threat of suspension will just drag on because nothing in the US Supreme Court decision is actually going to change.

NFL Ultras are the gold standard.

As for why they hold all the cards—check the morning papers tomorrow.

PS. For those who aren't up to speed: we're looking at a suspension of the opening round of the MLS season, which includes playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game behind closed doors without any fans in the stands.

Carol Lopez67 said:Honestly, this whole thing is just endless whining from people who clearly can't run a club. They haven't landed a single sponsor all year, they haven't sold anyone, and instead, they just send letters to the bank or the city begging for $10 million. Most of that would just vanish into existing debt, plus you have monthly overhead eating away at everything. Naturally, they get rejected because there’s no way to pay it back—unless they sell Vukusic for maybe $3 million. Now they're worried about facing Inter, and they'll struggle in the league because they're financially crippled, which we saw yesterday (well, except for Chaketas and Vukusic). As time goes on, attendance will drop; eventually, it'll just be the die-hards who already paid for season tickets, and that cash is already spent. So, for the rest of the season, there's zero incoming revenue, just expenses for wages, utilities... how are they supposed to repay the loan? And where is that money even coming from in the first place?

Sports Editor:

Brbić's master plan: Keep the Black Knights happy to dodge those heavy fines.

Pero Smolčić:

So, here’s the deal. He's planning to sit down with the Black Knights to hammer out a specific dollar amount for his year-end bonus. It's supposed to be a reward for his work, but there's a catch—a rather obvious one, really. They’re going to deduct every single fine he racked up throughout the year from that total. A performance incentive tied to conduct. Simple enough, I suppose.

Marin Brbić:

The Black Knights are essentially the soul of this club; you can't separate one from the other. That said, if we actually want this organization to succeed, people need to start using their heads. It’s frankly absurd to keep hemorrhaging money on these massive fines only to end up playing in an empty stadium. It makes no sense. We really need to appoint a specific liaison—someone dedicated to maintaining constant communication with Torcida. It's common sense, really.

The question is this: Why on earth didn't the reporter include that specific sentence from Marin's statement as some sort of conclusion in his article? 🙂🙂🙂
