I'm looking for some decent photo editing software—nothing too crazy, really. For instance, I’d love to be able to merge two different faces into a single image. Just please, spare me any suggestions for Adobe Photoshop... I have absolutely no clue how to navigate that thing. Thanks!
So, I picked up a Sony MDR-7506 MP3 player today—the 8GB version. Charging went smoothly via USB through my computer, taking about three hours, so no issues there. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag: whenever I try to transfer my MP3 files over, Windows 10 just refuses to recognize the device entirely. Any ideas on what I should do? I've already tried the classic "turn it off and back on again" routine with my PC, and I've double-checked the USB connection, but nothing changes. I'm not even getting that little icon in the system tray to let me know it's actually plugged in. I would really appreciate some help here...
Thanks so much for all the input, everyone. So, it sounds like I need to switch over to 64-bit Windows—and if that’s the case, then I guess that's the fix. Man, back to square one for me... 😵
So, I’m looking at a relatively new Computer I picked up just a few days ago. Here are the specs as reported by Speccy:
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 32-bit Main Processor Intel Pentium G3430 @ 3.30 GHz 31 ° C Haswell 22 Haswell 22nm technology Memory 8,00GB dual-channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard MSI H81M-P33 (MS-7817) (SOCKET 0) 28 °C Graphics Belinea101711 (1280x1024@60Hz) Intel HD Graphics (MSI) Storage 465GB Toshiba DT01ACA050 (SATA) 37 °C Optical Drives TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224FB Audio Realtek High Definition
I wanted to ask about the memory, specifically based on these details here:
Memory
Memory Slots Total Memory Slots 4 Used Memory Slots 2 Free Memory Slots 2
Memory Details
Type DDR3 Size 8192 MB Channels Dual DRAM Frequency 666.5 MHz CAS Latency (CL) 9 cycles Row Address Strobe (tRCD) 9 cycles prefetch ras # (tRP) 9 cycles RAS Cycle Time (tRAS) 24 cycles Command Rate (CR) 1T
A couple of questions:
- Can I easily upgrade this machine with an additional 8 GB of RAM, and will I actually notice any general speed improvements—even though I'm currently running 32-bit Windows?
- I'm a little unsure about those free slots... how much can I actually trust Speccy to be accurate with this kind of information?
I’m planning to format my computer—it's currently running Windows 10 Pro—and I've decided to roll back to Windows 7. Could someone please walk me through how to save, or rather, back up my bookmarks from Chrome before I wipe everything, just so I can restore them once I'm back on 7? It’s a simple question, really, I just have no idea where to start... and my Chrome interface is set to American English.

My buddy is shipping me about ten smoking pipes this Monday—sent via UPS, cash on delivery!
As a recipient, am I actually entitled to peek inside a package before I sign for it, pay the driver, and officially take possession? If that isn't a standard right—under what specific circumstances would I be allowed to inspect the contents first?
Fosna, I wanted to reach out and say thanks for the tip yesterday regarding Microsoft Office 2013. I went ahead and checked the Services just like you suggested—it turns out the Windows font cache service was disabled. Once I switched it over to Automatic, the whole process of uninstalling Office went off without a hitch.
Thanks again for the help, truly appreciate it. Igor 🙂
Fosna, I actually tried going through the Control Panel too, but I’m getting the exact same error message. I'll give your suggestion a shot once I finally get home from work.
Every time I try to uninstall my Office 2013 Pro Plus, I run into this error message—it just keeps blocking me from finishing the process. Does anyone happen to know what might be causing this headache?
