It feels like we're watching a massive tech tug-of-war between the US and China right now. With the US tightening restrictions, China is basically being forced to innovate their way out of a corner. Do you guys think China will actually manage to catch up to US tech standards on their own?

Every time I stumble upon these threads about Ukraine, I can't help but shake my head at the self-appointed experts who swear they know exactly how everything will play out. It’s always the same old cycle: first, they claim Kyiv will fall within 72 hours, then they insist Russia is on the verge of bankruptcy, followed by predictions that Europe will completely disintegrate or that Putin will drop dead any second now...

Honestly, if you had just made some random guesses, you probably would have been more accurate. Truly disappointing performance from everyone here.

During that initial duel between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, Max was trailing by about 0.941 seconds before he managed to pull alongside and overtake him going into Turn 1.

I personally didn't watch Senna live—I've only ever seen clips of him on YouTube—so I suppose I'm not exactly an authority when it comes to that old guard. But even back then, those guys were around. I'm pretty sure of that!

Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, and Lewis Hamilton—they all share this specific profile of aggressive champions who will do just about anything, whether through pure skill or questionable tactics, to trick an opponent or bait them into a mistake.

All those little tricks, like slowing down under the Safety Car or messing with pit entry speeds... honestly, we've seen it all before.

Maybe people don't particularly care for Lewis Hamilton because he’s had such an incredible car over the last few seasons, but I suppose Sebastian Vettel would likely be just as unpopular if Ford had been the dominant force instead of Mercedes.

Just kidding. In all honesty, I think the British media felt this sudden urge to take Lewis Hamilton's side, but maybe karma is starting to catch up with him lately.

Regarding that link someone posted about the rules for Ferrari:

So, I suppose this isn't really addressing braking itself, but rather the danger caused by driving needlessly slow. Coming to an almost complete standstill in a corner is precisely that—an unnecessary, unexpected lapse in judgment that happens to be dangerous.

The officials seem aware of this, just as they likely realized Vettel made a foolish move following that incident. It appears they were watching closely to see how things would unfold, and in an effort to avoid completely ruining the race for everyone, they reached a sort of Solomon's decision where both drivers end up "equally" penalized—one gets a 10-second penalty, while the other has to swap out a headrest, which took about the same amount of time. If they had gone any further with punishing Hamilton, it might have been overkill; he’s already the biggest loser of this race, and I guess he’s largely responsible for that himself...
