I wanted to point out that the Red Bull Racing-Vettel situation looks incredibly promising to me, and I see absolutely no reason to despair (not yet). He showed pure strength and power, earning himself an extra layer of respect in the process. At the very least, he's driven up his own market value.
Do you remember how much we Ferrari fans struggled after that first race last year? You fight for the title until the bitter end for three consecutive years, only to find yourself becoming a nobody in the very next season—just a target for the usual haters to amuse themselves on. And yet, against all odds, Kimi Räikkönen actually managed to win.
Well done... very beautifully put, or rather, very eloquently phrased...👍
Look, you can kill me if you want, but I'll always be a Ferrari fan 🤣
But seriously, saying Alonso could have overtaken Sebastian Vettel is just pure nonsense... nothing short of delusional, really... 🤣
To actually pull that off, he would’ve needed to be about two seconds faster per lap, which is just a fantasy unless Sebastian Vettel makes a massive mistake or his car breaks down... anything else is just fairy tales. Even Rosberg was faster by 1.5 seconds per lap and still couldn't touch him, especially since that car struggled so much on the straights... so how on earth could Alonso do it? Explain that to me, assuming Sebastian Vettel actually had a functioning car... 😕
Well, Alonso did close the gap to under a second at one point
regardless of whether Sebastian Vettel's engine issues get sorted out by General Motors or if the trouble just persists 🙂
if Sebastian Vettel fails to take the title because his car is essentially falling apart, then it’ll go to either Rosberg or Lewis Hamilton 🤔
and since Ferrari is also swapping engines for both of them, plus the fact that Mercedes is clearly superior to everyone else... meanwhile, McLaren will surely step things up by the time we hit the USA. Once the Las Vegas Grand Prix gets moving, Ferrara will probably just settle for 6th or 8th place, which is right where they belong 😳
man, I swear Fernando Alonso was stealing my grandma's purse, you can believe that 🙄
It’s pretty obvious that Sebastian Vettel's car gave up the ghost on lap 33, and honestly, Felipe Massa was practically faster than him at that point. Maybe Alonso would have had some trouble keeping up with Mass, if his own car hadn't started dying on him too. That "Mr. 0.6" guy had more luck than actual sense... it’s quite the scientific feat to win with two half-functional cars and a noticeably slower Lewis Hamilton trailing behind
I can seriously not wrap my head around how anyone claims those Italians actually built a decent car. If my memory serves me right, every time they start looking like they might actually lead the pack, we're looking at a decade of absolute misery following close behind. It’s been nothing but an exhausting struggle...🤮
If Vettel's engine hadn't given up on him, Alonso would have absolutely gutted him on that track... you could clearly see he was finding more pace with every single lap, closing the gap relentlessly. Of course, the tires take their toll and he had to retire, but only someone truly naive would suggest he wouldn't have gone for the kill in those final nine laps. It really would have been quite the spectacle, and I find myself regretting that I wasn't there to witness what was coming next...😉

They’re going to bleed points all over the floor because of these kinds of blunders, even if they technically possess the fastest driver-car pairing on the grid when everything actually works...
Ferrari and Fernando Alonso are going to be massive threats after a launch like this.
Ultimately, we're looking at a season where reliability and smart strategy will likely trump raw pace more often than not.
Who would have thought... those disorganized Italians just can't get it right...😕
