There was a point where they were using the name Max and the Wild Things in the trailers for the November release (if I remember right)—now that’s gone.

Pantera used to kill thrash metal dead—they weren't even part of the genre anymore.

Spectrum of Death by Morbid Saint

I’ve gotta say—bravo. Massive props to the organizers and all the bands for pulling this off.

Forlorn Legacy. Absolutely killer.
Eigenschaft. Top tier.
Cynic. Pure perfection.

This is it. The concert of the season.

Neal Morse - One (especially that track Author of Confusion)
Pain of Salvation - BE (specifically Iter Impius)
Threshold - Subsurface

Since they always roll out as a trio and everyone involved is a total guitar god—I mean, alongside Satriani-land and Vai, you’ve got legends like Eric Johnson and John Petrucci, and now even Robert Fripp joining the mix—the whole G3 name makes perfect sense.

You've gotta be kidding me 🙂
King Crimson isn't exactly some underground secret, haha

I was out in Budapest back in '99 during the Garage Inc. tour, and man, I realized then that they basically play the same 20-ish songs every single night. Honestly, nothing has changed since then. Sure, they might toss in a couple of newer tracks here and there, but it’s always the staples—One, Master of Puppets (usually a shortened version though), Thing That Should Not Be, Of Wolf and Men, Creeping Death, Nothing Else Matters, Sad But True, all that good stuff. Back then, Whiskey in the Jar was massive, but they never played it; instead, with Garage Inc., they stuck to Die, Die My Darling and Breadfan (an older cover).
That said, I was actually pretty surprised when they played Fight Fire with Fire—that's one of my favorites, haha.
Look, they aren't crazy or anything—they know exactly what the crowd wants to hear, so they just give it to them.
See you there.

This album is killer—it could easily slide into the top ten of any rock or metal list out there. For a record dropped back in '88, it’s incredibly progressive.

The system WE learn says we're equal under law
But the streets ara reality , The weak and poor will fall Let's tip The Power balance and tear down their crown Educate The masses
Let's tip The Power balance and tear down their crown Educate The masses
We'll burn The White house down

(I wonder how these lyrics would fly with Mr. Bush today 😁 )
