Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·

I always had this gut feeling that there'd come a day when people would start scrutinizing those medical files, so I stuck with private doctors and bought my own meds whenever possible. If money was tight, I’d just go once a month. Given the direction this country is heading, things could get even uglier regarding discrimination in the workplace...

I’m with you on that. If you can afford it, just stick to private care.
Projective personality tests: thoughts? in Psychology ·
George Cook said:The Mosaic projective technique involves a psychologist placing a wooden box filled with colored plastic pieces—black, white, gray, brown, red, green, blue, and yellow—in front of the subject.
Each color comes in a different shape, such as squares, triangles, or circles.
How can one actually derive any meaningful insight from this method?
For instance, when I looked at the colors, my mind began visualizing them bleeding into one another—a rather schizophrenic mental image.
Once I started assembling them, I used the bright colors to create a pattern that lacked any coherent logic. It was just a sequence of individual elements scattered about.
It looked utterly nonsensical.
Just a chaotic splash of color without purpose.
I utilized triangles and elongated squares.
Then, I tucked some small cubes into the upper left corner.

Following that, I was given a second task.
To cross out circles on a blank sheet of paper.
Essentially, no sketching allowed; you simply strike them through.

Could someone provide some clarification?

Wartegg, B-R, I forget the exact name but I think it's meant to see if things look organic or if there's some psychological basis or even some kind of impairment involved.

I'm asking the exact same thing.

They can extend it if they need to, or change it whenever they feel like it. Honestly, that date has zero impact on when the search function actually gets turned back on.

And look, someone here already suggested that the mods are just copy-pasting the same crap all over the forum, which is absolute nonsense.
The notice clearly states the feature is disabled TEMPORARILY and will be back soon. It’s right there in black and white.

So yeah, it's coming back. Stop trolling with these posts saying it's gone for good—don't spread misinformation.
The feature is down for a good reason, and no, the admin team doesn't owe you an explanation for what that reason is. Once the issue is fixed, it'll be back, and you'll be notified. End of story.

Thanks for the breakdown.

April 29, 2016—alright, let's see how next Friday goes, because we're celebrating and heading out on the town together, right? ???

Alright, I guess I’ll chime in on this thread too, since I can’t see anyone else's posts either.

Anyway, circling back to my own post.

I’m pretty indecisive. Honestly, I don't even know what I'm looking for. Maybe my standards are just way too high.

Here’s what I’m into: after finishing school, I want to keep learning—just constant self-improvement and stuff. I love hiking, hitting up interesting lectures (usually book-related), going to the theater, movies, concerts, long walks, quiet coffee shops, biking... basically anything involving honesty and actual conversations that don't suck. As for music, if it sounds like bad country music, count me out.

What I don't like? Honestly, that's a tough one to answer.

I'm down to start off by just messaging and chatting. My age is listed on my profile, but I don't mind if people are a bit younger, male or female, whatever.

Hit me up in the DMs for everything else.

Good Luck Thanks with that thesis project.

It’s fine if they list how long I’m expected to be out, but the diagnosis should stay private. If an employer is suspicious, they can request an audit, sure—but even then, they should only get a "yes" or "no" on whether the leave is justified. They don't need my medical details.

It’s been over a year since those codes were even included on the forms.
And besides, an employer absolutely has the right to request an audit of the medical leave.

Gregory Howard3 said:??? I never said I couldn't, I just don't get why everyone's losing their minds over this whole state exam drama involving vocational schools.

Personally, a specialized exit exam makes zero sense because it just boxes people in. Like, what if someone who studied computer tech decides they'd rather go into construction? What exam would they take... the general one, the construction one, or both? And don't even get me started on if they wanted to study business...

Okay, so there was clearly a misunderstanding. We had the standard national exams back then, and anyone who pulled straight A's all four years was exempt from taking them.
The rest of us (myself included) had to sit through the whole thing.
So no, I wasn't cheated out of anything.
And yeah, I agree, making a specific vocational exam just limits what those students can do.

People change their minds all the time. Someone signs up for a trade school and then suddenly wants to study psychology—which exam are they supposed to take then? It’s a mess.

Gregory Howard3 said:can't really recall, never actually planned on majoring in econ...

the thing is, the entrance exams were based on the standard US high school curriculum, so nobody felt left out...

About 90% of us from vocational high schools ended up getting into our first-choice colleges. Do I feel cheated? Not even slightly.
It was easy enough. Most of those people are working now—some of them are even in management.

Gregory Howard3 said:Can someone actually explain why everyone’s tripping over vocational students and the SATs when it comes to college admissions?

Back when entrance exams were a thing, they stuck to the standard high school curriculum. No specialized vocational subjects on the tests—except maybe drawing for architecture, which is still the case today.

If I’m remembering right from the old study guides I still have lying around:
All the engineering schools used the same math and physics entrance exams (plus drawing for architecture). The prep material was just the standard high school textbooks for math and physics.
The tech colleges used those same high school math and chemistry books.

Liberal arts programs looked at English grammar, general knowledge, and IQ tests—all based on the standard high school curriculum.

Business schools focused on English and math—not sure if there was a general culture test back then—but again, just high school textbooks.

...

Yeah, business schools used to do English, math, and computer science, but man, that was a long time ago.

I’m pretty sure it’s Ticket T1 (though honestly, I'd bet on T2 being the one), and they usually just fill in the subscriber number for you anyway.
Since T2 is meant for family members, but hey, let me double-check that for you.
I never actually had to hand-write a Ticket T3-long myself.

Robert Sanchez6 said:If an employee wants to retroactively add a family member to their coverage, they can only do so via the Medicare online portal.
The application seems to have been down since February 17th—apparently, they issued instructions to handle everything via paper forms at the local service counters instead.
My only concern is what you mentioned regarding filling out the T3 form. Is it possible you used an outdated version or perhaps filled out the wrong one by mistake? Currently, there are only the T1 forms (for the employee) and T2 forms (for dependents).
If we are talking about a child under 18, there are actually two paths available: independent coverage or being covered under the primary policyholder—in this case, the employee.

Regarding that kid under 18 thing, there are two options. Personally, I’d suggest going with independent coverage. Man, I actually harassed IT support thinking my own computer had glitched out when it was really just their system acting up.

Well, that explains why I can't log into my MyMedicare account. So it's all paper-based now? Great. Just great. Now I know exactly what my Monday looks like—just endless piles of paperwork for changes that I can't even handle online through the pension portal.
