Joy Division at Coachella 😲 The rest of the lineup looks solid, but this? It just doesn't work for me. It’s like charging a new dining set to a mortgage. 👍
Jeremy Flores10, this whole mess gets solved through effective inspections, not by slapping together these kinds of idiotic laws. And if you actually think this legislation was designed to protect a worker's right to "one day off a week," then you clearly didn't read the fine print—if you even bothered to read it at all.
We've been through this topic more than a few times already. I wouldn't say you should go out of your way to avoid Chicago unless you’re managing a corporate account. The truth is, they have one massive advantage that, in my book, makes up for all their other flaws: they probably have more ATMs than all the other banks combined. And considering how much those out-of-network withdrawal fees bite... Sure, they’ve cut down on some of their shortcomings, but they aren't the only players in town, and I don't think being the "only option" is the top priority when a regular person picks a bank. Besides, any rudeness from the staff is offset by a really solid online banking platform; honestly, I rarely even step foot in a branch anymore because everything gets handled online. 👍 Take RBC, for example—I know plenty of cases where online transfers ended up landing in the wrong accounts entirely.
Jeremy Flores10 said:Besides, here's a question: would you actually work on Sundays for an extra $667 per month? I’m not in retail and I don't work Sundays, but if someone suggested I pick up a shift on a Sunday just for an extra $167, I'd tell them to shove it.
So, it’s supposedly better for the economy—and for the people—if that option doesn't even exist, right? Great job, 👍 Looks like you've got a bright future in politics or economics, 👍
Finally 👍 I think the Democratic Party is headed straight for the same irrelevance as the Liberal Party if they keep pushing these moronic initiatives—especially ones like this that practically flirt with being unconstitutional.

😲 😲 😲 😲 😲
Unbelievable. I can't believe someone actually said that. Honestly, even today's Republican Party is backtracking on its old playbook regarding Canada. Look at the fallout: we've lost 30% of the pre-war American population in Canada, and the entire leadership of the American political scene over there is either underground, facing trial in The Hague, or packing their bags for it. You must be from the Midwest. 🙂 😵 😵
Anyway, enough about politics... Tell me, do you listen to the same music your parents grew up with, or do you have your own thing? 😁

I listen to indie music, hit up all sorts of artsy events, and grab a breakfast burrito from an Albanian vendor at the local market.
What does that make me? 😁
That sounds like a "you" problem regarding your own consistency. 😬
If we look back at the music scene, just remember how many clubs were actually thriving back when the Republican Party was in power before 2000. Compare those numbers to the desert we’re looking at today. If things start moving in the right direction, we might finally see a slow return to that pre-2000 era.
It’s not about that. The point is that the previous administration funded specific projects and clubs without the Republican Party having any clue what was going on. It isn't about Thompson needing a handout—he’s basically a commercial powerhouse on his own. This is about how certain high-quality programs can't sustain themselves, and the former government used to step in and support them. So, you consider The New York Times a friend, yet you voted for the Republican Party? 😲 😁 Personally, I can't wrap my head around how someone could vote Republican and still claim to love alternative culture... actually, how they can love culture at all... honestly, I just don't get how anyone can vote for the Republican Party. 😁

My buddies are cool with the local mill owner and hang out there pretty much every day—I drop by from time to time myself—but I haven’t heard a single thing like that. If it helps you sleep better at night...
They're planning to renovate Broadway this summer; it should take about three months. They've already mentioned it on the radio a few times.
I’ve been using E-zab for a few months now to handle all my monthly bills online. Honestly, I’m pretty satisfied. The fee is $0.17 for any utilities that use Chicago Bank, while it's $0.33 for everything else. If you were to go down to the local Post Office, you'd be looking at a fee of $1.75, plus the headache of waiting in line or dealing with a teller. 👍

Then again, some artists (like Dedić) would honestly be better off letting someone else sing their songs since they lack the vocal ability—whereas others, like Cohen, at least had a decent voice (even if it wasn't exactly a powerhouse range).
Look, I was talking about the vibe, not the songwriting credits. And my point was that having an ego trip doesn't have to be a career killer. I mean, look at lisica; she can be a total nightmare to deal with, yet she still manages to pull off a massive career.

Look, you guys might be right, but let’s be real: you’ve ended up attracting a crowd that never even stepped foot in the Music forums to begin with. You've basically invited in a bunch of people who hold completely opposite political views just to sit around and talk nonsense together. Now, everyone's just spinning their wheels and shouting into the void.
Here’s my take: Natalie Portman has an incredible voice, but there isn't much going on upstairs, and she definitely comes across as a total airhead. She’s arrogant, full of herself, and just generally obnoxious... but that doesn't mean she won't make it big. She might lack the ability to sing with the kind of raw soul you'd find in someone like Leonard Cohen—who doesn't have the vocal range of a goddess but possesses phenomenal feeling and touch. Unfortunately, I think that depth only matters to a tiny minority. Most people are just going to obsess over her massive range and "phenomenal" vocals, and that's exactly what will fuel a massive career.
Emily Ortiz25 said:What kind of "unregulated" businesses are we talking about?
Basically, any business that doesn't require a specific professional license or state certification.🙂 🙂 I think I have a book somewhere that lists which trades are regulated versus those that aren't—some categories even overlap. But one of the most common loopholes is setting up as a "marketing agency" or something similar. A massive number of small businesses officially register as marketing firms just to bypass the red tape.
