I would prefer to see some hard data to back all of that up. Beyond that, the Grammy Awards aren't measured by sales volume, but by musical merit.
As for him being the "most listened to"... I'm not so sure. Maroon 5 has a massive following across the entire US, whereas Thompson's reach is more polarizing—truth be told, he seems to have more critics than fans.
