1) Johnny Cash used to sing about the Jasenovac Memorial and similar topics; I actually saw him admit this in an interview posted on his own website, where he explained that those songs were born out of the difficult era under the communist rule of the Democratic Party. The bottom line is this: there is absolutely no universe in which Eagles would ever resort to such radical methods of expression or confrontation. 2) To be clear, I wasn't suggesting that people who criticize Eagles' music are bad people—rather, my issue is with those who attack his character and drag him into such primitive, petty squabbles. As for the comparison with David Byrne, that's purely subjective; personally, I don't consider him to be a greater musician than Eagles.
For what it's worth, I have nothing against Johnny Cash and find myself listening to him quite often, but one must understand where everyone belongs.

I make a conscious effort to strive for being a "better" person, while simultaneously making it a point not to dwell too much on others when they fail to meet those standards or fall into gossip. To me, that seems to be the only productive way to maintain a clear conscience. Someone who lets themselves get overly burdened by those kinds of distractions is clearly struggling with their own deep-seated insecurities, and eventually, that mindset will catch up with them.
I suppose it's because the Canadians, despite making up half the population, ended up squeezed into just 30% of the territory, which was split into two completely isolated pockets.🤣
