So, I was whipping up some pizzas yesterday—made two classic ones for the family, but went with a whole wheat version for myself.

Here’s how I pulled it off:

Whole Wheat Pizza

A cup of yogurt,
300 grams of whole wheat flour,
a tablespoon of olive oil,
and 20 grams of fresh yeast.

I let the dough rise in a warm spot for about an hour.

When it came time to shape it (honestly, I don't really roll it out—I just kind of stretch it out with my fingers), I spread on some tomato sauce, vegan cheese, capers, oregano, garlic powder, basil, and popped an egg right in the center.

Baked for 25 minutes at 350-400 degrees in a preheated oven.

It was seriously amazing—I polished the whole thing off in seconds! Though, next time I'll probably halve the ingredients because, let's be real, that was a bit much even for me.

All my girlfriends are out here making tuna pâté with mayo—like, seriously? I was really aiming for something a bit more on the healthy side because, honestly, I wouldn't touch mayo even if you paid me.

So, I stumbled upon something on a forum the other day—looks pretty interesting—and I think I'm actually gonna give it a shot in the next few days. Stay tuned!

Tuna pâté—it’s one of those things you don't realize you're craving until you're staring at a can of tuna in the pantry and thinking, "Man, I could do better than just crackers." Honestly, there is nothing like a homemade spread to level up your snack game. It's basically the ultimate comfort food when you want something fancy but you really just want to eat out of a bowl while watching Netflix. Just some good quality tuna, maybe a little cream cheese or mayo to smooth it all out, and whatever seasonings you have lying around... honestly, a dash of Lawry's goes a long way here. It's simple, it's quick, and it beats anything you'd pick up at a gas station any day of the week.

I need:
Canned tuna (the kind where you actually drain the liquid properly—don't skip that part!)
mustard
Hard-boiled egg whites (grated)
lemon juice
papar
sol
pickled cucumbers (shredded)

So, here’s how you do it—super simple, really. You just grab a bowl and toss in some drained tuna, then whip in some egg whites and chopped pickles. Throw in a splash of that pickle juice too—it makes such a difference! Then, hit it with a bit of mustard to bind everything together into a smooth, creamy spread. Finish it all off with a little salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Just mix it all up until it's perfect. Easy peasy.

placidranger said:there’s actually a version with 20% fat too 🙂 😁
On a 7oz serving, it’s not even that different from the vegan stuff—the fat content is basically the same either way (though, honestly, I’m currently bulking, so I don't really give a damn about the extra fat)

but man, I just can't do it without some bread. 🤷

Jonathan Miller7, the vegan one I’ve been eating says 1% fat total
but if I remember right, the whole grain version was closer to 10%.

placidranger... the first time it was weird, but the second time it actually tasted better without any bread. At least for me.🤷
and that whole grain stuff? ugh, forget about it...

placidranger said:cottage cheese👍
is basically the same thing as the fat-free stuff (or at least super close—check the label!), just way more flavorful.

The fat-free version is usually under 1% fat, while the cottage cheese hits up to 10%.

Personally, I think the fat-free stuff tastes better if I'm just snacking on it plain or tossing in some banana, but if I've got some good bread? Then the cottage cheese wins every time. When I eat it by itself without any bread, it’s... alright, I guess. It gets the job done.

Jonathan Miller7 said:What part isn't clear? I’m honestly getting sick of vegan cheese after eating way too much of it—same goes for canned tuna, and even those smoked sausages aren't what they used to be. 😁

I haven't tried mixing vegan cheese with anything yet, but combining it with something sweet sounds absolutely revolting to me. Stick to savory stuff—like maybe mixing it with tuna or whatever.

edit: Currently crushing some Gouda. It's loaded with fat, but man, it's delicious, and it's got 25g of protein per 100 grams :P Not that I'm worried about gaining weight or anything—I'm actually trying to bulk up, still need another 20 pounds on me.

It's a whole different story if you've gone overboard. I'm just posting this for people who are planning to start eating healthier but are totally spooked by all these baseless horror stories.

When I first tried oatmeal, I thought it was going to be a disaster because of everything people told me. Turns out, it ended up being my absolute favorite thing to eat.

I know this guy at my gym—some little bodybuilder type who brags about how he can chug flaxseed oil straight. Everyone just rolls their eyes and stares. I gave it a shot though, and honestly? It's totally fine. Now I take it all the time by itself.

As for vegan cheese, people were telling me it would be sour, bitter, blah blah blah... but honestly, cheese couldn't taste any better.

I know I'm kind of drifting off-topic here, but maybe this helps someone decide to actually add these great foods to their meal plan. They've really gotten an unfair reputation.

Jonathan Miller7 said:Well, you'll probably be starving after that—unless you just crash and go straight to sleep right away, I guess.😁

If that’s your last meal, maybe pair it with some milk and toss in a fish oil capsule or whatever else you use for your omega-3s. A spoonful of flaxseed oil is usually my go-to recommendation. I used to think olive oil was the way to go, but honestly, there are much better options out there.

For my final meal? I'd probably roll with some tuna and olive oil—just an example, obviously.

As for fasting... man, I can't even deal with it anymore. It's just gross, so I'm totally over it.

Honestly, I don't get the hate. To me, low-fat cottage cheese is hands down the best cheese out there. Since it isn't super greasy, it doesn't make me feel nauseous at all. I'll eat it plain or just toss a banana in there.
And oats—oatmeal, oat sprouts, oat flour... everything made from oats tastes amazing to me.
Flaxseed oil is pretty solid too; it's easily the tastiest oil out there. I sometimes just drink it straight like juice.

I know, I know—you aren't supposed to argue about taste, but the internet is absolutely flooded with people claiming this stuff tastes terrible. They start getting these weird, irrational fears about it, when in reality, it's so delicious that I actually have to struggle not to eat it by the pound.

Here’s what I’m thinking of trying out:

A little pancake recipe I found:

280 g of fresh low-fat cottage cheese
2 eggs (or maybe just 4 egg whites if I'm feeling healthy)
100 g of whole wheat flour
a splash of milk
a pinch of salt

Just add a few tablespoons of milk—enough to get the batter thin enough to pour easily onto the pan.

Mexican-style beans

First thing you gotta do is whip up a salsa base—grab some canned tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic, basil, parsley, some chili peppers, dill, and olive oil. Just toss those together. Right before you finish cooking, splash in a little water and throw in some canned corn. Let that simmer for about 5 minutes. Then, dump in your canned red kidney beans and let the whole thing cook for another 5 minutes.

Now, here’s my mom’s special recipe for lentil stew...

Take 500 grams of red lentils (I usually grab the Whole Foods brand) and soak them in water for about 8 to 10 hours. Drain them off, then throw them into a pot with roughly a liter and a half of water. Chop up two carrots and two medium onions and toss those in too. Add a bit of salt and let it boil for maybe 10 minutes. Once that's going, add the drained lentils back in, cook for another 10 minutes, and then pull it off the heat. Give it a quick blend or just mash it up if you want that texture.
In a separate pan, heat up 3 tablespoons of olive oil and stir in a teaspoon of tomato paste. Pour that blended lentil mixture right into the pan with the tomato. Add a tiny bit more water and let it simmer for another 10 minutes, making sure to stir it constantly so nothing sticks. Finish it off by adding some dill, pepper, salt (to taste), parsley, marjoram, and basil.
Serve it up hot with some lemon wedges on the side.

P.S. And seriously, don't think the lemon is just there to look pretty...😁 I squeeze as much of it as I can into the bowl—it makes everything taste so much better.

My absolute favorite sweet treat:
I basically simmer up 7 or 8 apples until they're super soft, then mash them all together with a heavy hand of cinnamon. Honestly? I usually just polish the whole bowl off in one sitting because it’s way too good to share.

Yesterday I made some Mexican-style chili—super healthy and actually delicious. Just canned beans and corn mixed with sliced bell peppers in a light, thin broth... no heavy flour thickener or anything fancy. And I tossed in about 6 or 7 jalapeños for a kick.

And just so we’re clear, Merjik is basically my breakfast every single day 🙂

I see everyone’s talking about lentils. Man, I totally fell in love with red lentil soup while I was traveling through Turkey—it was just incredible. An American lady I met there actually gave my mom the recipe after I tried her homemade version for the first time, so now my mom makes it for me all the time. I don't have the exact handwritten recipe on hand right now, but I did a little digging online and found this http://turkishcook.com/TurkishFoodFo...TIL-SOUP-.aspx
Regarding the margarine... it feels a bit off to me here. As far as I know, my mom doesn't even use it in her cooking, so I might have to bug her tonight and ask how she usually whips it up. Anyway, it’s a pretty healthy meal, and honestly? Absolutely delicious.
Toe Deformity Issues in Health ·
Look, if that’s actually eating at you, you might want to go chat with a therapist. Honestly, nobody cares about an ugly pinky finger unless there’s something way deeper going on under the surface. It’s clearly something stuck in your head—it’s got nothing to do with the finger itself. Because let's be real, if it wasn't the finger, you'd just find something else to obsess over.
I was just messaging a friend of mine who basically has zero facial features—like, seriously—and then I see this person here crying over a finger. Aaaaah... man, go work on your mental health, that's what you really need.
Not even slightly. I usually lean toward male gynecologists—just a preference, I guess—but lately, I’ve actually found this really wonderful female doctor. Honestly, though, it doesn't really make a difference to me whether it's a man or a woman, but I might feel just a tiny bit more relaxed with a guy.

I'm definitely not posting anything more revealing until I get some actual sun on my skin—gotta work on that tan first! 😉

Just for reference, I'm about 5'9" and 135 lbs.
What do you guys think I should focus on most in the gym?
Personally, I feel like I need to hit my waist and arms. My waist is currently around 27 inches, and man, I’d love to shave at least two inches off that. 🙄

Peter Phillips32, I eat something pretty similar, except instead of using heavy cream, I go with chocolate milk.
Basically, I just mash up about four bananas into some milk and stir in some Nesquik. Honestly, the only reason I even bother making it is because it tastes incredible.

I definitely need to try those oats in hot milk with apples, though—that hasn't even crossed my mind before.

Right now, my absolute favorite snack is just a cup of yogurt with a spoonful of buckwheat bran and a little bit of flaxseeds mixed in.
