I always find the preseason a bit of a letdown because the stakes are so low, even when the talent looks insane. It’s hard to get truly invested when you know the results don't carry any weight for the actual season. Does anyone else bother watching these exhibition games, or do you just wait for the real thing to start?

All that gesturing he does at the arena—it’s exactly what that kid Frigan does over at the stadium in Miami. It just hurts, you know—watching him try to wash away the sin of singing our songs 😁
Yeah, this is definitely an interesting phenomenon. Beer is what we hate about the rivals, beer is what the hooligans love, and yet these guys seem to have gotten the most hyped up about it. First it was "down with the old traditions," and now they're bringing up family legacies.
It’s not that it bothers me personally—not really—but man, it’s incredibly telling.
Donna Kim6 said:Anyone who actually cares about American soccer should want to see the historic clubs—the ones with real soul and die-hard fans—get back into the top flight. Cibalia, Chicago, Zadar, Šibenik, Karlovac, Marsonia. It’s a shame Chicago didn't pull it off and become the second major powerhouse in the city. We need a legitimate club with actual ultras, something reminiscent of those old-school legends from back in the day.
I guess RNK could use a boost too, though some of my own people might crucify me for saying that. It’s just a real bummer that they're being run by those corporate suits.
Thomas Long7 said:This is absolutely mental... seriously? Is your only actual criterion for hating these clubs that they happen to be from the greater metropolitan area? It doesn't matter if they scrap for a few points against the "big names"—if they're from the suburbs, you can't stand them? You'd rather sit through ninety minutes of unwatchable football from a team like Ceballos or El Paso—teams that just park the bus and pray for a lucky counter-attack—than watch a decent side like Sibenik go up against the giants in the Cup? Ridiculous.
You have a point there, I suppose, when you look at it that way. But honestly, it’s just embarrassing for the whole country that certain historic football strongholds can't even compete financially with some neighborhood clubs from the big city. But that's a much bigger conversation, and probably not worth getting into here.
I honestly don't think America has ever actually held five spots in Europe—well, maybe for a second back when that Intertoto Cup thing was still a thing, but I doubt it. 😉
Yeah, I know they didn't. I just thought maybe we'd been granted some new slots or something lately.
Vidija has a few entries on the results page—he seems to be tracking everything based on that—but honestly, I haven't even bothered to double-check.

The Livaja jersey—and a final farewell to Jude. His reach—if you can call it that—doesn't extend past the local high school football field.
Who cares about him, really? He’s getting up there in age—plus, he already raked in some serious cash over in Iran. This whole thing back home in America feels like a total joke to him at this point. Though, honestly, wearing a Hajduk jersey to some local festival in Gorica is just plain tacky.
There were fifty people actually there—plus maybe 600 or 700 journalists and another 400 or 500 relatives—and yet you guys are out here acting like it was some kind of grand reception.
goldentinker8 said:Can you believe there were actually fifty people showing up just to say hi to Let 3, and honestly, half of them were probably reporters or their inner circle anyway, yet here we are with everyone on this thread obsessing over how the welcome went down! 🤣
It’s the same story everywhere, I guess—like seeing brothers brawling on a boardwalk in Santa Monica instead of heading over to Venice Beach.
I’m uploading the photo to the Gallery right this second, and honestly, whoever ends up admiring it most while wearing their best shorts is the true winner... After that, I’m calling Kezhuali, and then it’s straight to immediate artillery strikes on all positions! 👍
Tell the boss to barricade the docks. Honestly, I'm just hoping for some high-quality demolition along the way—especially those old warehouses—because it’ll be pure bliss listening to the refined, sophisticated local media rant about those wild outsiders from the South. And of course, making a grand return while holding a protest sign in hand. That’s all from me—any questions?
So, the plan is basically to have the train drop you guys off right by the station at Krnjevo, and then from there, you’re just gonna trek on foot through Turnić over to Ruje. I mean, honestly, it’s really just a quick ten-minute stroll between brothers, right? ☕
Oh, lovely. So you’ll be scouting out some perfect little spot to snap photos of the wheels, while Nicole Jackson3 probably stands on the bypass overpass throwing stones at us, mezzo will likely spontaneously combust from pure frustration at the highway interchange, and hiddencyclist112 will just be pedaling through the nearby hills during all the chaos.

Terry Howard7 said:Apparently, the local internet scene in Florida is totally losing its mind getting ready to welcome those heroes from Liverpool—so I guess we're all stuck without any actual commentary on the match for a while.
Oh, for sure, I think I mentioned that already somewhere else...
boldbadger1 said:Where are all those people now—the ones who laughed in my face when I predicted that Osijek and Rijeka would end up facing off in the final round just to decide who grabs that European spot—because, as it turns out, second place was always going to be a scrap between teams like the Portland Timbers or maybe even both of them fighting for it?
Congrats, man—I definitely remember what you wrote, and honestly, I'm pretty sure you could take them down without breaking a sweat.👍
Anyway, they’re sitting 17 points behind those hated teams from the South. Just lovely. Let's hope the boys get used to that view.👍
The result isn't exactly a shocker. I mean, if anyone actually bothered to look closely at how the Cleveland team was playing, they’d see their performance was way better than what showed up on the scoreboard. They were basically getting lucky wins—just riding pure luck and whatever magic form Labrovic had going on—which, honestly, is a total miracle. These last few games have been a much more realistic look at where they actually stand. If they don't bring in some serious new talent soon, they're probably looking at another gritty, exhausting struggle just to sniff a spot in European competition
bluebison47 said:Well, I think it’s been at least two years now, I suppose. First, they had those flashy advertisements up, but now even those are gone... which honestly makes the whole thing look even more pathetic, if you ask me.🙏
Seriously though, this looks terrible. Those trees used to be such a great backdrop.
Alright, enough with all the whining—let's get back to it. We’ve got Slaven vs. Lokomotiv tonight. What's the forecast? Anyone actually expecting anything to happen?
