Hey everyone!

I don't have supplemental insurance. I ended up at the Holy Spirit emergency room yesterday. Once everything was wrapped up, they handed me a bill and told me to head over to the cashier with the paperwork. They charged me 219.18 dollars. It felt a little off to me because, along with the standard stuff like checking my blood pressure and doing an EKG, they drew blood for labs and gave me an IV. Since I was feeling pretty rattled, I just handed them my card so I could get out of there quickly. Later, I realized the main part of the bill was only 19.18 dollars since I don't have extra coverage. Does anyone know what that extra 200 bucks might be for? Is it an error, or is it just because I went to the ER? I didn't go to the emergency room for no reason, so please don't come at me with any judgment! 😁

If I recall correctly, the owner of the local brewery is involved. He’s of Slovak descent, and the village itself has strong Slovak roots, much like the nearby larger town of Josipovac Punitovački. Can you believe this? People actually went after Bađun because—get this—he didn't pay for food at some restaurant or grocery store. His wife paid instead. They actually made an entire video out of it just to mock him and claim he's living off his wife. Seriously, how much free time do you need to have to notice something like that and decide it’s worth making a whole video about?

I’m hearing today about how one of Bučevićka’s acquaintances is seeing his marriage fall apart. His wife has completely fixated on her own status, thinking she deserves more, better, and so on. It's a total disaster. I honestly feel for the guy.

I honestly can't wrap my head around how people can think Joe Biden is the top guy. I don't even know how to explain this phenomenon.

My uncle used to work at the Pentagon, so I’ll ask him how long it actually took them to track and shoot down a plane with an Arrow back in '91. But look, war is a different beast entirely. You don't expect this kind of stuff during peacetime. Honestly, the best move would be to station a soldier with an Arrow every few miles along the border with Canada and Mexico.

Kyle Campbell4 is talking about the Germans, if I understood him right. A few weeks before the invasion, the Germans halted the shipment of some weaponry (made in Germany) from a Baltic state—I think it was Estonia. Then, just to save face, someone decided to send them helmets instead.

I haven't really dug into it myself, but my guess? Since the Dollar is such a safe haven, you just see much higher trading volumes on that pair.

The spread is huge. That tells me there isn't much trading happening—low liquidity and high volatility.
