The motherboard should handle that CPU just fine. I guess you might want to swap out the power supply, though.

So which motherboard are we talking about exactly? You can probably grab a Core i9 on Amazon that’s basically just an i7 under a different name (minus the integrated graphics), you'd just need to make sure the board actually supports it. It's dirt cheap, honestly:

What are you even using this rig for, and where do you feel it's actually lagging? If you're gaming, I guess you should probably grab a better GPU first, then maybe figure out if you actually need a CPU upgrade later. Adding more RAM probably won't do much for you anyway.

2. Even if you somehow get it spinning, there's no guarantee you'll actually see anything. Like others mentioned, those recorders often lock the content so it won't play on any other device anyway.
3. If you're just looking for movies or shows, it'd probably be way easier to just download them from the internet than mess around with this junk.
4. Just toss it in the e-waste bin.

The issue is you're sending emails from a Gmail account, which just isn't working out. Maybe don't do that.

Don't just go swapping out your GPU blindly; that's not how this works. Have you actually tested it in another rig? Or maybe tried a different card in yours? Check what the Event Viewer is throwing at you. You even bother reseating the card or cleaning the contacts and blowing out the slot?

This thread feels like someone pulling up to a mechanic saying "my car won't start," and the guy responds "you need a new engine" without even popping the hood...

It’s not even close to being barely enough; that card isn't exactly a power hog. I've actually run two of those cards at once for mining on a 450W unit.

On page 94, there's troubleshooting for that specific error code (2 amber lights and 1 white). It suggests something might be wrong with the motherboard.

I mean, I’d probably just vote for a new CPU, motherboard, RAM, and SSD combo. You get everything brand new with a warranty, and honestly, it’ll fly once you add an SSD and more RAM.

If you're just using the standard Google app, a Text Message basically means you're sending a regular old SMS that hits your plan, whereas a Chat message means you're mostly just sending stuff over the internet.
