Was it stuttering on Linux? If so, then that graphics card is seriously weak... I guess you should just grab the cheapest new one you can find and call it a day

Maybe try booting from a live Linux USB to see how it acts there? Could be an OS issue, I guess.
It’s not like some ancient relic, so I guess that card should be able to handle YouTube just fine. Maybe try a different browser? Also, are you positive the drivers are actually installed? Check Device Manager under Display adapters to see what it says.
What does system RAM have to do with video memory? Honestly, nothing at all. What's even the point of having extra VRAM for gaming? I don't see much use for it.
Your theory doesn't really hold up; you'd only need more than 8GB if you're doing heavy multitasking with stuff like photo editing, video production, or running virtual machines.
Honestly, I feel like if you actually have skill, it won't matter if you're rocking gear from $10 or $100. Sure, some features might give you a tiny edge, but let's be real—fancy peripherals aren't going to turn a total newbie into a pro overnight.
Honestly, you might want to just stretch your legs for a bit and maybe grab an AMD Athlon x4 740/750/760 paired with some FM2 motherboard instead. Upgrading the RAM later is pretty easy, and I guess you'll probably need a beefier graphics card for those games anyway.
51 C seems fine for idle, though I guess you should check how it holds up under a bit of a load. As for that HDD, maybe run a SMART status check using HDTune Pro
Honestly, I have no clue how that just fell off on its own. What, did you glue the heatsink to the CPU?
As for the hard drive, maybe grab HD Tune Pro and check the SMART status (you can post it here), and also download HWMonitor to keep an eye on your temps.
