My doctor told me today to head over to the clinic in Chicago for some blood work. It wasn't until I actually left that I realized she didn't hand me a physical referral—I'm assuming that means she just sent an e-referral through the system?

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but it’s been forever since I’ve had any medical checkups, so I’m totally out of the loop on how this works lately. 😁 😕

Second thing: is the blood draw location for the Westside Community Health Center still at that spot on Baroness Avenue? That's where I went a few years back for the same thing.

Also, do I need to make an appointment, or can I just show up first thing in the morning around 7?

Thanks!
It was cool and all, but honestly, I felt like it was missing that blue-collar 😢vibe
When it comes to New Order being at their peak, I’m telling you, their latest album is the best one yet. You guys can debate whether they've hit their prime or not all you want 🤔 🙂 🙂
Man, they better hike up the prices for something like System of a Down, then maybe they'll actually notice I exist. 😁

Yeah Charles James9 can Charles James9

Thanks.

Sure thing, old colleague. 😉 Hit up ZG-Sash.
Lisa Flores74 said:sorry, but you can't really say the new stuff is the same or even better than the old stuff :/
you totally can, because that's just your opinion image
idk, the new stuff is growing on me, but it doesn't hit quite as hard as the first album on the very first listen ☕

Chaos is actually great on the new record! Most of it actually clicked for me live during the first set. That one unusually mellow track was pretty solid too. Hmda, they're a good band image

Pitchfork—I listened to one of their albums a few years back and nothing really stuck. This set was pretty much the same deal. The first track was the best part (someone tell me which one that was). It sounded cool at times, they have a good sound, but then that sax player just totally kills the vibe :)

Like I said, it's basically the American version of Guster 😁 The only bummer is that back then, Guster was actually touring, so there wasn't really any way to avoid them 😁
Richard Evans98 said:Bravo! I'm not a huge fan personally, but Tight Fit is easily their best track—I've had it on repeat for the last few months. Honestly, I think it hits harder on the album than live, but I'm still glad I got to hear it and catch it on tape 🙂

Nice. 👍 Upload it to YouTube or somewhere else if you've got the time and energy. Do the same for Dress if you managed to record it 😁

Hah, looks like some guy already put up Dress, but the quality is total trash.
Jose White23 said:And here's another weird one. Massive is throwing corporate logos all over the background, while two T-Mobile logos are just sitting there on the side grinning at us.

😁 Heh, nice job 🙏
Jose White23 said:Maybe they dig PJ so much that the homage was totally subconscious and they didn't even realize there was a connection😁

That would actually be even cooler😁
BSS - boring as hell and a warning 🤷
Caribou - a pleasant surprise for me. Repetitive, danceable, sort of minimalist indie rock/electro stuff that requires the band members to basically be in a trance to pull off. I stuck around for the whole set, grabbed some food, and waited for NYPC.

NYPC 👋 Started out lukewarm and weird with bad vocals and some pretty moronic attempts at crowd interaction, like asking us to shout out what we want in life 😕 Okay, I get it, that was the intro to the song, but still.
The terrible first impression was fueled by a bunch of pre-hipsters in the front right who were spreading out everywhere and acting like they couldn't care less about the music because they were just there to prove they're L00DI 🤮

But! As the show went on, it kept getting better and better. They actually built some chemistry with the crowd, and you could say they absolutely crushed it Through some kind of weird magic, they had us all jumping like crazy 👋

It was just as good hearing the tracks from the first album that I already knew as it was the stuff from the second that I didn't really know, but after this, I definitely want it.

Also, an interesting detail: they played a cover of the PJ Harvey Dress, which was probably the exact moment they won me over 😬 On top of that, interestingly enough, they immediately followed it (intentionally or not) with their own Tight Fit, which starts with lyrics that are a hommage (again) to PJ Harvey (that Man-size thing).

I want to fit
I’ve got to get into it

Anyone else think that was a total rip-off?

After that beauty, I rested up a bit and caught part of the Massive Attack show (Angel 😍 and so on...). It was wild when I realized they translated the text on the video wall into American. Jesus, it was like watching powerful Max 🙏

Just wanted to say I've had an amazing experience at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival so far. There was something for everyone, and even the crappy weather didn't ruin the vibe.
I came out with two girlfriends and two buddies from Germany—they were driving through Chicago on their way to the coast.
We're having a blast, and honestly, Chicago is such a killer spot for young people; the people here are great.
I was here last summer too, and I actually ended up getting some vision correction done while I was in town.
My parents, who are from the US, visited for vacation last summer and had LASIK eye surgery light at the local hospital.

I love Chicago; I’ve totally fallen for this city.

Tschus

Asti 🙏

So lovely 🙂
Aside from the fact that they absolutely crushed it (Heart of Hearts 👋), let’s be real—they basically killed God with that One Piece Puzzle nonsense!

At least regarding these last few things I actually managed to catch on time 😢
It’s not even free—it’s 200 bucks! 🙏
I don't know, man, but it would definitely be Rage Against the Machine if they weren't already on the lineup 😁
Here's the thread. 🤦 I'm looking for why there's nothing on Thirsty Ear and the rest. 😕

Benjamin Phillips14 said:Honestly, the whole thing sounded like a soundtrack for Battlestar Galactica to me.

😲

🤣 You’re probably thinking of those parts where they start pushing all that religious bullshit. 👍 How did I miss that? Honestly, I used to be such a huge Beatles fan. 😲

urbannomad30 said:So, what, they're wearing masks because they can't handle looking the audience in the eye? 😬

Not even a chance, because they are. secret!

Watch this, I’m about to outdo everyone else here for pure nonsense. Here’s the bottom line: the keyboard player is trying way too hard to channel Charles Bronson, the drummer is acting like he’s straight out of a Steve Buscemi movie, and that tiny little guitarist on the right looks exactly like some kid I went to high school with. That’s it. Period.

Nah, you got that wrong. I was checking them out on an unreleased recording last night and man, it felt incredibly raw. It gets a little sluggish during certain parts, but that’s just momentary. For me, the tracks where the keys really pop were the absolute highlights. Honestly, they were unexpectedly killer. 😲 Since we’re talking about Persian music right now, and considering that one theory about where Americans actually came from, you could argue they were just playing their own local tunes. 😉 The poster should've just put "100% homegrown" on there, kind of like how they do on those Roko & akademija posters. 👍
New Young Pony Club 🎉 :sexy:
Nah, too far for me 😢
Asti, you’ve officially become one of those people who just hunts for flaws in every tour 🙂
I was going back and forth on this thing, but I finally pulled the trigger and grabbed my ticket at Fifth Avenue about 40 minutes ago. You indecisive losers still have 20 minutes left 😁
