3:30 PM LA Galaxy vs. LAFC
tip: (h1:0) x @ 3.80 FanDuel (2.2 units)
tip: (h2:0) x @ 4.0 Bet365 (1.8 units)
Stake: 4/10 (0-4)

Honestly, betting on an LAFC win on the road feels like a total wash since they're only offering 1.30 odds—there's just zero value there if you're looking to actually grow your bankroll. When you look at the matchup, the Galaxy are sitting pretty as the third-best team in the league, having only dropped one game at home while grabbing five wins, whereas LAFC has been playing a bit more inconsistent, picking up three wins and three draws away from home. It’s kind of a toss-up when you see it laid out like that. I think the smarter play here is to grab the option where LAFC wins by just one or two goals at 2.0 odds; I've balanced my stakes so that any win within that margin nets us a double profit. Good luck, everyone!

Swedish 2nd Division
Varberg vs. Angelholm
pick: 1 @ 2.0 odds, Double Chance (0-1)

6/10

So, Angelholm basically hit a wall and faced bankruptcy, which almost forced them to pull the plug on their whole season, but after a sit-down with the league, they decided to just grit their teeth and finish out these last few games.
For this matchup, they’re rolling with a skeleton crew of just 11 players!!

http://hd.se/sport/2014/10/05/vi-ska...tet-och-garva/

The AFF main squad is showing up with nothing but eleven outfield players since everyone else is stuck on the sidelines dealing with injuries or suspensions.

- This season has been a total rollercoaster from start to finish. I’ve seriously never seen anything like this—half the roster is just gone. It's just eleven outfielders and two goalies left. That's the reality for Angelholm FF right now, according to Joakim Persson.

I'm sitting at about 190 lbs right now and standing 6'3", so I'm really leaning into a bulking phase. Since the fall, I've been putting most of my energy into dialing in my bench press and deadlift, though I definitely need to pack on some more meat on my legs 😁

http://s30.postimg.org/45vy2lm29/gfdyhrge.png

Here’s the quick rundown of my parlay picks:
- Helmond is absolutely killing it at home with 13 wins out of 13, plus their last four head-to-head matchups have all been total shootouts where both teams found the back of the net.

- If you want chaos, look at Hoffenheim; they are easily the most wide-open squad in the league, having kept a clean sheet only once in 23 matches, and they've seen goals on both sides in 10 of their 11 home games.

- Real Madrid is basically playing on easy mode right now, just steamrolling everyone in their path, and since their local rivals recently got dismantled 3-0 by them, I'm adding them as a total lock.

- For the Dinamo vs. Lokomotiva matchup, I don't even need to get into the weeds here—let's just say there's some very friendly neighborly vibes happening.🤣

- Wolverhampton is riding a massive wave of momentum right now, coming off six straight wins, while Port Vale has been struggling big time with just one win, a draw, and four losses in their last six. Plus, Wolv has gone 5-1-0 at home lately, while Port Vale has managed only a single draw in five away trips, so the math pretty much does itself.🤷

- The Bulgarian League isn't really known for any wild upsets, so the favorites tend to cruise through quite often; CSKA is a huge favorite playing at home and should walk away with another three points. ☕

Barcelona vs. Celtic
Barcelona to score 2-3 goals @ 2.05 PSK(6)

Honestly, Barcelona is walking into this one with absolutely zero pressure since they've already punched their ticket to the next round, so they're basically playing with house money now. I don't see them totally steamrolling Celtic, especially since you can tell they're feeling the void left by Lionel Messi—you could pretty much see that struggle during their first match when they barely scraped by with a win. That said, expecting two or three goals from a squad like this feels like a safe bet, and honestly, getting those kinds of odds for that outcome is just too good to pass up.

8/25 13:00 Odense vs Nordsjaelland
Odense IBN @ 1.80

Odense is dealing with some absences, specifically missing Schoop (mf 3/0) and Kadri (mf 2/3)

On the other side, Nordsjaelland will likely rotate their squad since they pulled off a solid 1:1 draw away against Elfsborg in the first leg of the Europa League qualifiers. Because of that result, they’re planning to give some rest to guys like Mtiliga (df 3/0), Anders 'AC' Christiansen (mf 5/0), Morten Nordstrand (att 4/3, their top scorer), Jens Stryger Larsen (mf 5/0), and Mario Ticinovic (mf 5/0). They also have Tychosen (att 3/0), Lorentzen (mf 0), Bech (0/0), Laudrup (0/0), Aynaoglu (0), and S. Christiansen (0/0) out of the lineup too

Personally, I feel like the home team has a really great shot at grabbing a win here while playing in front of their own fans. ☕

Wilstermann vs. Real Potosi | 1.40 Odds | Germany

Real Potosi is sending just seven players😲to face off against Wilstermann
Since their request to reschedule their opening match was shot down, the front office over at Real Potosi made a pretty wild call last night: they’re sending a skeleton crew of just seven players to Cochabamba to fulfill their Saturday (6:00 PM) fixture at the Felix Capriles Stadium against Wilstermann.
“We asked for a postponement before this game because we’ve got that big rematch coming up against Universidad de Chile in Santiago, and honestly, we’re stumped as to why they said no—other teams in the league get to push their schedules back all the time,” explained Real Potosi Vice President Marco Ortega after breaking the news to the coaching staff.
“Look, we realize this isn't ideal and there will be fallout, but we’re backed into a corner here since nobody responded to our plea, and right now, staying focused on the Sudamericana is the top priority. We’ve already got the flights and hotel rooms booked,” Ortega added.

Man, looking back, it actually might have been more logical if they had played it even safer offensively by sitting Smith and Lou for the night. If those two had stayed out, their offense probably would've been way more "sterile," which honestly makes me think that the under would have been an even easier win to grab. 🤷

Nicholas Chase34 said:Atlanta under 97.5 points @ 1.85 Supersport

Atlanta's been sliding lately, and honestly, after they managed to take down the Thunder and the Pacers, they hit a wall against Miami and then stumbled again last night against the Clippers. It felt like teams have finally figured out how to shut down Josh Smith, which was pretty much the deciding factor in those losses. They seem way too reliant on the three-pointer right now—they're basically top 4 in attempts but only sitting at 17th when you look at actual makes. Their biggest headache is definitely getting to the charity stripe; they’re almost dead last in free throw attempts, averaging just 16.2 per game (that's a measly 13.2% FT/FGA), and their accuracy is rough at 66.7%, which puts them at #29. It’s hard to draw fouls if you aren't attacking the paint, even though they actually rank 24th in rim attempts. Now, while Portland isn't exactly an elite defensive unit, they should have a really solid matchup here against Atlanta. I can see Aldridge keeping Al Horford in check, and Batum might be able to contain a Smith who hasn't found his rhythm yet. Matthews should be able to handle Korver, who's really their only real threat coming off screens or in spot-up situations, and Teague doesn't look like he'll give the Blazers much trouble, so Lillard should be able to handle him easily. If Atlanta wants to keep winning, they really need to lean on their defense; if they try to get into a track meet, I don't see them going very far. In their last outing at the Rose Garden, the Hawks were held to just 77 points, so I’m expecting maybe a little more than that from them today. ☕

95 points I think it couldn't have been any easier 🤣 ☕

James Taylor3 said:The line feels pretty high, but honestly, the only team besides the Rockets that hasn't absolutely scorched the Blazers for 100+ points this season is... well, nobody else.

Batum might be able to keep Smith in check, though I’m not totally sold on that idea because even if Batum plays solid and stays athletic, Smith just brings a whole different level of raw power to the table. The only way this works is if Batum gets him into foul trouble, which Smith isn't exactly shy about getting into, so if that happens, the Hawks have the edge.

Aldridge should have a decent shot at shutting down Horford, but man, you can't forget that Horford has such a soft touch and those mid-range jumpers are basically his bread and butter.
If I remember correctly, a couple of seasons back, he was the only big man out there consistently shooting better than 50% from outside the paint.

Switching gears to the offense, Lillard hasn't really impressed me with his defensive effort, and Teague has been putting up some pretty solid numbers lately.

The Blazers' bench is looking pretty porous on the defensive end; guys like Jeffries, Pavlovic, Leonard, and the rest seem a bit sluggish, and I wouldn't be surprised if Williams and Harris decide to capitalize on that weakness.

In my book, Portland has the upper hand to pull off the win tonight, though I doubt they'll be able to truly stifle the Hawks, especially since they were out on the court just last night too.
I’d probably set the line maybe one or two points lower, but even then, I don't know—I think I'll just steer clear of this bet entirely. 😁

You really think the Blazers have the edge? 🙂

It's true, the Blazers haven't shown anything impressive defensively so far, but eventually, they're going to have to step it up and dig deep.

I passed on this parlay because the margin felt a little too thin for my liking; personally, I think it should be 2-3 points lower to be ideal. I highly doubt the Hawks can clear this without getting a ton of free throws, unless they're hitting shots at an insane clip, which seems unlikely when you're playing on the tail end of a back-to-back. 🤷

Atlanta Hawks under 97.5 points @ 1.85

The Hawks have definitely lost some steam lately; they looked great after picking up wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Pacers, but then they stumbled against Miami and just got shut down by the Clippers last night. It felt like those teams just figured out how to neutralize Josh Smith, and that was really the turning point for them. Honestly, this squad relies way too heavily on the long ball—they’re basically top five in three-point attempts, yet they're sitting all the way down at 17th when it comes to actually making them. Their biggest headache right being the lack of trips to the charity stripe; they're pretty much second to last in the league there, averaging only 16.2 free throw attempts per game (which is a measly 13.2% FT/FGA), and their conversion rate is pretty rough at 66.7% (#29). It's tough to draw those fouls if you aren't aggressive enough getting into the paint, even though they rank 24th in field goal attempts. Now, while Portland hasn't exactly been a defensive powerhouse lately, they should have a pretty solid matchup here. LaMarcus Aldridge ought to be able to keep Al Horford in check, and Willie Batum might be able to contain a struggling Smith. Matthew should be able to handle Kyle Korver, who's really their only real threat coming off screens or in spot-up situations, and since Kemba Walker doesn't pose a huge threat to the Blazers, Damian Lillard should be able to manage him easily. If Atlanta wants to keep winning, they really need to lean on their defense; if they try to get into a track meet, I don't see them going very far. In their last outing at the Rose Garden, the Hawks were held to just 77 points, so I'm expecting maybe just a little bit more than that today. ☕

-So, apparently the Brooklyn Nets absolutely crushed the Orlando Magic on the road with a 107-68 blowout, which was actually the first time they’ve cracked the 100-point mark in ten games. The visitors started the season strong with two wins, but then they totally fell off a cliff, especially in their last two outings where they averaged only about 71 points. I wouldn't expect a massive scoring night here either, especially considering all the guys missing from the rotation like Rasheed Wallace / Hedo Türkoğlu, Caron hậu Harrington, and Don Nelson.
17w/17l

I am totally on board with this pick; there is just no way this game hits that over margin for a few different reasons. First off, look at Orlando's free throw rate—it's sitting at 15% (FT/FGA, #28), while their opponents are at 18.5% (FT/FGA, #20). What I mean by that is Orlando rarely gets themselves to the charity stripe, which makes it tough to rack up those easy points, but they aren't exactly handing out free throws to anyone else either, even though the Nets managed 25 attempts and still struggled with a mediocre 64% conversion rate. Then you have the pace, or the average number of possessions per 48 minutes, which basically tells you how fast the game flows. The Brooklyn Nets are pretty sluggish there, ranking 28th, while Orlando sits at 23rd. It really feels like Orlando just doesn't attack the paint; against the Nets in their first matchup, they only had 17 field goal attempts at the rim with 9 made, compared to the Nets putting up 28 attempts and hitting 19. All these stats point toward a game where you won't see many easy buckets, but rather a lot of mid-range jumpers, which is basically Orlando's whole playbook. Orlando just doesn't have anyone capable of driving to the hoop and cleaning up offensive boards; Glen Davis is really their only weapon in that department, so if you shut him down, you've basically won half the battle. All in all, taking the under is the perfect move, and the only reason that high margin even exists is because of their recent averages for points scored and allowed.☕

Paul Millsap over 13.5 points @ 1.85 Favorite

The Utah Jazz are sitting at home getting ready to welcome the Phoenix Suns, and honestly, looking at the numbers, the Suns have been playing some of the worst defense in the league lately, giving up an average of about 105 points per game.
There’s a bit of a question mark over whether Mo Williams will suit up for Utah—he's usually their go-to guy averaging 16.8 PPG—so if he stays sidelined, I can see Paul Millsap and the rest of the crew stepping up their scoring production. This really feels like a huge opportunity for the big men in the paint, specifically Millsap and Al Jefferson, to exploit how much the Suns struggle inside. Protecting the rim has been a major Achilles' heel for Phoenix for quite a few seasons now. Plus, Luis Scola isn't exactly a defensive powerhouse; he doesn't really protect the rim well, and he tends to struggle against those versatile perimeter forwards like Millsap who can either knock down shots from a pick-and-pop or just drive right past him to the hoop. The way the Suns defend spot-up shooters is pretty much bottom-tier, letting opponents shoot over 50% in those scenarios, and their pick-and-roll coverage isn't exactly elite either. Even though Millsap's season average has dipped a bit (down to 12.2 PPG from his usual 16.3 PPG) because he's sharing minutes with a solid player like Derrick Favors, I think he’s due for a bigger role tonight depending on how things shake out. He’s got a really smooth mid-range game, hitting about 42% from 16-23 feet, and his 72% finishing rate at the rim is super respectable. It's also worth noting that Millsap has basically been owning Luis Scola lately; over their last five matchups, Millsap has been averaging 25 points on 53.9% shooting. I was actually torn between taking Al Jefferson or Millsap for the over, but I ultimately went with Millsap since he has the better history against the Suns. Last season, he averaged 23 points on 55.2% shooting against them in three games, whereas Jefferson averaged 17.3 points on 45.3% because he had a tougher matchup against Marcin Gortat, who is the one bright spot in that Phoenix defense. This line feels a little low for him, so I’m expecting him to really shine tonight, which shouldn't be too hard to do in front of his home crowd.
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
I'm feeling pretty good about taking Greg Monroe over 12.5 points at 1.85 in the game against Germany. Honestly, looking at how things are shaking out, he seems like he's got a real shot at clearing that line if he gets his rhythm early on. It feels like one of those situations where everything just clicks, so I'm leaning into it!

If you ask me, today’s pick is a total lock because I honestly can't see any reason why this guy wouldn't cruise through. Looking at the numbers, Greg Monroe, who's been anchoring the center spot for the Detroit Pistons over these first three games, is averaging about 10.7 points, which is nearly five points lower than his 15.4 PPG average from last season. The main culprit behind these sluggish numbers seems to be the matchups he's faced; in the season opener, Timofey Mozgov completely shut him down, then he ran into Marcin Gortat and struggled big time with his efficiency, going just 5-for-17 (29.4%). Then, in the next game, he had to deal with Dwight Howard, which left him stuck at a modest 8 points on 4-for-10 shooting (40%). However, things should feel a lot smoother for him and the Pistons today when they head out to face the Denver Nuggets. Denver tends to prioritize their offensive firepower over defensive grit, which opens up some lanes. While Jaونا McGee will definitely try to make life difficult for Monroe in the paint, based on how Jaونا McGee has been playing defense lately, I don't think Monroe will have much of a struggle. To put it in perspective, guys like Chris Bosh, Anthony Davis, and Spencer Hawes combined to pour 85 points on the Nuggets while shooting an efficient 58.6%. In his last outing against the Nuggets, Monroe looked much more dialed in, dropping 13 points on 66.7% shooting while only needing 9 attempts, especially since Ben Gordon was feeling it and helping carry the load. Man, that was a rough stretch—only 45 points scored during that 13-22 run. It felt like watching a car trying to climb a steep hill in neutral; you’re putting in all this effort, but you’re just not getting any traction at all. That’s exactly why Greg Monroe ended up getting shortchanged on shot attempts too. The Detroit Pistons are really struggling to find any rhythm in their backcourt right now—with Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey both dealing with some serious shooting slumps—so if they want to actually stand a chance at pulling something out of this game tonight, Greg Monroe is going to have to go absolutely all out and give it everything he's got.
Man, things are looking a little rough on the stat sheet right now; Brandon Knight is sitting at a 10.0 point average with a 31.4 percent shooting clip, and honestly, Rodney Stuckey is having a real tough time finding his rhythm, too, since he’s only managed to go 1-for-23 from the field despite putting up 10 points.
Man, Rodney Stuckey is going through it right now. He’s missed his last 18 shots, which is rough to see, and he couldn't even get a single point on the board during those 25 minutes against the LA Lakers. It turns out there might be a reason for the slump, though—word is he’s been battling some pretty nasty migraines lately. When you're dealing with that kind of head pain, staying focused on the court is basically impossible.

Big men like Spencer Hawes, Glen Davis, and Chris Bosh have all absolutely crushed it whenever they've gone up against the Nuggets. It seems like Denver coach George Karl is pretty nervous about dealing with Greg Monroe, too.
George Karl said:The guy is just incredibly slippery on the court. His shooting has really leveled up lately, too—he’s hitting that 15-footer with way more consistency than he used to. When he gets near the rim, he’s just pure power, and honestly, he plays the game with this kind of cleverness that catches you off guard. He might not be winning any track meets with his speed, but man, he’s got that quickness that makes him hard to contain. It's going to be super interesting to watch how our guys adjust to his style, especially since everything about his movement feels a little bit unorthodox.

Joshua Gonzalez33 said:LaMarcus Aldridge over 20.5 @ 1.85
-LaMarcus didn't exactly have a standout night last time out, dropping 19 points with only 3 rebounds, and he barely even touched the free throw line because the Lakers were guarding him like crazy. But tonight, he’s facing Ibaka, who wasn't exactly acting like a brick wall defensively last season, and let's be real, the whole OKC squad was pretty much in the bottom five when it came to letting opposing power forwards score at will. Plus, it's worth noting that Ibaka tends to pick up a lot of fouls. Also, Batum stood out against the Lakers, but trying to shake Durant tonight is going to be a whole different ballgame, so we really need to see Aldridge stepping up as the leader for his squad. It feels like a solid play to me; I just hope OKC doesn't run away with it too early and force Aldridge onto the bench.

If Portland wants any kind of prayer in this game, they’re going to have to feed Aldridge, specifically by getting him the rock in the low post where he’s basically unstoppable thanks to those endless pump fakes—which is exactly how he racked up those 39 and 30-point games last season. In the matchups where they ended up losing to OKC, Aldridge usually finished below his average because he simply wasn't getting the touches in his sweet spots; instead, he was being forced into those long-range spot-up shots that are way easier to contest and don't exactly yield high percentages. On the defensive end, Perkins is likely going to be the one playing him tight, and he's a pretty aggressive presence in the post. Honestly, Ibaka is a bit overrated as a defender; all those highlight-reel blocks you see are mostly just a mask for his actual defensive impact. He really struggles against "floor spacer" type fours like Nowitzki, Aldridge, or Scola... which explains why OKC's stats show they give up so many points at the PF position. Throw in the fact that the Thunder are playing on the second night of a back-to-back, and their defense might be feeling a little sluggish, making the over a really tempting bet. 🤷

23:30, George - ASA, 1 @ 1.40, Expect

The visiting squad is looking pretty banged up for this matchup, honestly. Their coach decided to shake things up by tossing a bunch of youngsters from the bench into the mix, basically giving the veterans a breather. We're talking about resting guys like Oscar (df 8/0), Bayano (df 28/4), Fabian (df 26/1), Mike (df 3/0), Luke (mf 18/1), and even their top dog, Didi (mf 27/6). It's pretty clear why, too—they've already locked in their spot in the league, so the pressure is totally off. On the flip side, the home team is showing up with everyone ready to go, hungry to grab that top spot since they're trailing by just a single point. They’ve been absolute beasts at home, pulling off 11 wins and 3 draws out of 15 games, while those visitors have struggled on the road, managing only 2 wins and 2 draws in 15 tries with a goal difference of 11:23. Given that the home side is riding a massive five-game winning streak, I'm feeling super optimistic that they'll keep this momentum rolling against an opponent that doesn't seem to have much skin in the game tonight.
