Oh, 🙂
That’s great, though it means not even my sister can use her laptop anymore! :')
Well, I'm actually planning on picking up a new PC soon, so I'll definitely be paying much closer attention to those ports when the time comes 😬

I don't think I even have a USB 3.0 port on my machine. I just went looking for one right now, but absolutely nothing... Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised though. My computer is about five years old at this point, and this feels like a whole new level of tech compared to what I've got.
So, does that mean I actually need to go out and grab a USB 3.0 hub too? 😵

Anyone out there?

I actually picked up some used Bose TriPort headphones on eBay for about $30. Highly recommend them!

Right now, I'm just making do with some replacements;

The Konig KNG-2010 are pretty decent

And I have to say, they fit really comfortably in my ears.

Those Vivanco Fusion ones have super bass

The bass is awesome and the stereo separation is great, but honestly? They're super uncomfortable to wear. :/

I used to own some high-end Sennheiser's, but money got tight and I actually ended up crushing one of the earcups by accident. 😂 Now I'm just saving up for something a bit nicer...

Gregory Scott4 said:I was browsing through some gear forums earlier and stumbled upon this link for the Konig KNG-2010. I know we’ve had some debates lately about whether high-end setups are always worth the massive price tag, but looking at this specific listing really got me thinking! It’s one of those pieces that sits in that sweet spot where you aren't breaking the bank like you would with a top-tier Sennheiser setup, but you're still getting something much more substantial than your basic budget earbuds. I remember back when I first started building my home studio in Chicago, I spent way too much time obsessing over every single cent, trying to find that perfect balance between "cheap" and "pro." It’s a tricky dance, isn't it? You want quality, obviously, but you also want to actually have money left over for rent! This particular model seems to hit that middle ground quite nicely. It’s definitely worth a look if you're trying to upgrade your listening experience without needing a second mortgage. What do you guys think? Is this a solid value play, or should I keep hunting?
I just stumbled upon this review for the Ellipse SHP2500 headphones over at TestFreaks, and honestly, I had to take a second look because there’s so much to unpack here! It’s one of those deep dives that really makes you think about whether the hype surrounding high-end audio gear actually holds up when you get down to the nitty-gritty of daily use. You know, I remember back when I first started building my home studio setup in Seattle, I spent way too much money on gear that looked amazing on paper but sounded totally hollow in practice. It’s a classic trap! This review touches on some of those exact same vibes. They go into detail about the frequency response and how the build quality feels—not just "good," but how it actually stands up to being tossed in a backpack during a commute through downtown Chicago or worn for eight hours straight while grinding through an edit. The breakdown of the soundstage is particularly interesting. If you're like me and you live for that wide, immersive feeling where you can practically point to where the drummer is sitting, you'll want to pay close attention to their comments on spatial imaging. It’s not always sunshine and roses, though; they don't shy away from pointing out where the mids might feel a little thin if you're coming from a more premium Sennheiser's setup. It’s definitely worth a read if you're looking to balance your budget without feeling like you're buying a cheap toy. Just curious what you all think—are we prioritizing comfort lately, or is raw technical performance still king in your book? Let's chat!

Actually, if you ask me, I’d definitely recommend checking out these ones first!

I just stumbled upon this deep dive into the Ellipse SHL9500 headphones over at TestFreaks, and honestly, I had to take a second look because there is so much detail packed in here! It’s one of those rare reviews that actually goes beyond the surface level. The write-up really digs into the sonic profile—you know how some reviewers just say "it sounds good" and leave it at that? This isn't that. They break down the frequency response and how the Ellipse tuning handles different genres. I was thinking back to when I first picked up my old pair of Sennheiser's, and comparing the two through this article's lens gave me a whole new perspective on what to look for in high-end audio gear. If you're someone like me who loves getting lost in the technical nuances of soundstage and imaging, you definitely need to give this a read. It’s super thorough without feeling like a dry manual. Definitely worth adding to your reading list if you're looking to upgrade your setup!

I just saw that they have them over at Best Buy! $97.

Hey, check this guy out! I’ve been diving deep into my in-ear setups lately, and honestly, there is just something about that level of intimacy with the music that hits different. It’s like the artist is performing right inside your head! I was testing out some new gear yesterday while driving through downtown Chicago, and I couldn't help but notice how much the fit and the seal change the entire soundstage. If you don't get that perfect seal, you're basically leaving half the performance on the table. Anyone else obsessing over IEM fits right now? 😉

So, I’ve run into a bit of a snag with my file transfer speeds. I'm averaging about 20MB/s right now, which feels pretty sluggish to me since I read online that it should be hitting up to 90MB/s.
I just picked this thing up brand new, plugged it straight into my PC, and let it handle its own driver installation.
I'll be honest, I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to this kind of hardware stuff, so I would really appreciate some help getting this sorted out! 🙂

Good grief, why on earth is nobody reading this first post?! 🙂
I mean, could someone at least scroll through a single page of the thread to see what’s actually funny and what isn't? ☕
