Police Jiu-Jitsu? Why isn't there any Judo in the department? Besides that, most cops don't really bother with martial arts or any combat training at all. I mean, maybe the SWAT teams do, but the regular beat cops? Not really.

I mean, I hear you, but those BJJ guys from Zadar—Ikic and Salina—who have basically spent half their lives on the mats? They’re right there on day one, just like pretty much any other UFC fighter out there.

Most UFC fighters are pretty young, and it seems like almost everyone shows up with a black belt in at least one discipline. I mean, where is every single fighter getting a BJJ black belt from? It usually takes at least eight years of grinding to earn a black belt in BJJ, yet these guys are walking around with them after only two or three years.

While I'm at it, I wanted to ask: what do you all think works better for self-defense—that American wrestling style or the BJJ approach when things go to the ground?
