I feel like I really need to clear up what’s going on with the permissions. Most of those permissions were revoked basically before the whole ZiDic wipe happened, so I guess you could say the regular users have been punished more than enough already. There really wasn't any reason to go after everyone else who isn't even banned and just delete the threads they actually have every right to be posting in.

So, here is why those permissions were handed out in the first place:

1. miseducata got her permission just a month after her sash was taken away. She apparently got it because people labeled her a Dolly Parton clone, but then Dolly Parton got hers because she was supposedly a clone of miseducata. So, miseducata is a clone of Dolly Parton, and Dolly Parton is a clone of miseducata. Wow. 🙏

2. oblica received hers because people insisted she was actually miseducata, even though there is plenty of proof that she is a completely different person. I mean, since they hang out together so much, I guess they just decided they were the same person. Wow. 🙏

3. parachutes got her permission simply because she politely asked over at the community board why she had been banned. Instead of getting an answer, she just got the permission. Wow. 🙏

4. lilijana got hers because—get this—she's considered a "boring clone," even though she isn't anyone's clone. Plus, she’s the only one posting from overseas, which an IP address would easily prove, but I guess nobody bothers checking that when it's easier to just say, "you're a clone and we don't need you here." Wow. 🙏

Honestly, if it weren't so tragic, it might actually be funny.

Gregory Garcia said:Look—after everything that’s been read and written here, the honest truth is that the thread wasn't taken down because of that specific post, but rather because of you guys in the moderation crew.

Once you finally wrap your head around that, maybe it'll make sense why I've spent so much time—clearly to no avail, I suppose—writing all this stuff here.

It's pretty obvious you think my posts are just mindless rambling, since you haven't actually acknowledged a single point I've made; instead, you just go straight for the jugular, calling me names like Nazi or sick...

Anyway, take care. 👋

I mean, why would a thread get deleted just because of a group of people who were already banned? Isn't a ban enough of a punishment for them?
The thread was actually taken down because people were claiming there was some kind of coordinated sabotage going on, labeling it an anti-community element without providing any actual proof for those claims.🙂

I wouldn't say your writing is just nonsense, at least not nearly as much as you seem to think mine is! I guess I actually did respect your points and even tried to back them up with logic. If the mods actually did the same thing, this whole site would probably have way fewer headaches.

Honestly, the way you suggested fixing things is more than alright, so thanks for contributing to the conversation.😍

Gregory Garcia said:Look, I’ll go out on a limb here and stick up for you guys over at ZiDic—I truly believe it’s a positive thing. Honestly, one of the whole points of this forum is that a few of you might end up clashing there, only to realize you actually have a lot in common and end up becoming friends.

Look, I really hope you aren't going to try and demand that the rules of this forum be bent just to suit your specific needs—you know, acting like the guidelines don't apply to you or should be rewritten to accommodate your preferences. We have thousands of members here, whereas you guys are only about a dozen, so expecting everyone to pivot around you just isn't how this works. It honestly wouldn't be fair to the rest of the community.

I’m going to try my best to give you some logical answers to these questions—though, I guess, logic can be a bit subjective depending on how you look at things!

Well, when it comes to an appeal—it’ll certainly be taken into consideration and read through—but whether or not you actually get a response really depends on how much merit there is to your argument. I mean, let's be honest here: if you’re breaking the rules—say, by cloning an account after the original one was banned—and then you turn around and complain about the sanctions... well, I guess there isn't much to appeal, is there?

You didn't even mention it—not once! How's everything going? Look, I’m not saying we should stop people from starting new threads—that’s just part of how things work here—but there’s a line, right? If someone decides to spin up sixteen different complaint threads all using the exact same grievance, just because they’re having a hard time swallowing the fact that they aren't in the right... well, I think that’s something we can, and honestly should, step in on. It's not really about suppressing discussion; it's more about preventing someone from cluttering the place just because they refuse to accept a reality that doesn't suit them.

EDIT:Regarding this other matter—if two people from the thread end up posting over on the other topic instead, I suppose that’s perfectly fine if they aren't active here. I suppose I should probably step in here—if you don't mind me jumping into this conversation—but it feels like we’ve drifted a bit too far from the original point, doesn't it? It’s funny how quickly a discussion can veer off track, though I guess that’s just the nature of things once everyone starts weighing in. Let's try to pull it back together, shall we? If someone starts a thread like that—well, they really ought to be sanctioned for it. Honestly, I’ve always felt that things should be handled much more strictly on Reddit when it comes to stuff like this.

Look, I think we need to be clear about what constitutes actual abuse here. If someone decides to clone an account just because they’re bored with their old handle—or maybe they just want a fresh start—that’s perfectly normal behavior. It happens. But there is a massive difference between that and someone maintaining five different clones just to mess around—that is straight-up abuse, and frankly, it's disrespectful to everyone else on the forum. Maybe for one person, it feels like a harmless little joke, but if it makes things exhausting or frustrating for the majority of the community, then it's a problem.

Now, 4.tonček—or rather, our friend here—introduced himself as your buddy and asked the exact same thing you did. It’s pretty obvious he’s being biased, too; I mean, it feels like he only jumped in because of this specific topic. Besides, if he really is your close friend, one might start to wonder if you're actually using his handle just to bypass a ban.

Honestly, I don't see anything illogical about it—if anything, it makes perfect sense to me. 😉

Alright, let's go with this!
I honestly feel like this particular appeal is just exceptionally well-written and super solid in its reasoning, I guess!
http://www.reddit.com

So, after half the posts in this thread just vanished into thin air, we finally got an explanation that honestly doesn't seem to make any sense at all! I mean, I guess I’m just wondering how a totally harmless topic with like 25,000 replies could somehow pose a threat to Reddit? It feels a bit weird, you know? Like, how can stories about work, sex, or even the Yankees somehow jeopardize a site that is simultaneously filled with Nazis, pedophiles, and all sorts of other creeps? It just doesn't quite add up to me!
I mean, if someone on the forum is actually asking for a clarification on how the moderation works, they really deserve a straight answer, you know? It shouldn't just be some random, baseless nonsense that isn't backed up by anything at all; I guess people should honestly be entitled to that kind of clarity. At the end of the day, the whole point of having a moderator is to support the users, not the other way around, right?

What kind of topics? I mean, just regular stuff that doesn't have anything to do with filing a complaint, you know? Like, maybe just random conversation or whatever!
http://www.reddit.com
http://www.reddit.com
It’s honestly kind of wild how they’ve totally blocked anyone from starting a new thread just because Henry Cox78 decided to drop a few comments supporting ZiDic. I mean, he hasn't even actually used ZiDic before, so I guess he probably isn't even smart enough to figure out how it works anyway!

I honestly have no clue which specific PDFs you’ve been scrolling through lately, but I guess it seems like a ton of people on Reddit are just posting with clone accounts and nobody even seems to care! I mean, whether that's actually exhausting for them or just plain hilarious, I suppose it really doesn't matter much, does it?🙂
It’s super important that everyone stays within the rules here on the forum, you know? I mean, unless you’re coming over from ZiDic, in which case, I guess you’re basically breaking the rules just by showing up!

I mean, honestly, that guy can do whatever he wants! He can post whenever he feels like it, write about whatever pops into his head, and hang out with whoever he chooses—I really don't see what the big deal is. I guess we’ve just reached a point where we're actually treating stuff like that as if it were some kind of massive problem, which seems a bit much, doesn't it? 🙏

Look, I guess the real issue here is why he’s getting watered like this and who his actual friends are in real life. Is there somewhere in the Reddit rules that actually mentions that?🙄

Oh man, right,I mean, you can't just assume someone is a clone. You really have to prove beyond a doubt whether they're a clone or not, right? What's even the point of having IP tracking and all those other tools if they're just meant to scare people away from the site??
It clearly doesn't matter at all when someone gets banned just based on the assumption that they're a clone or that they're sharing their Nickname with someone else.🙂

Anyway, for someone claiming to be from Mars, you sure seem to know an awful lot about ZiDic. Like, you know it's spelled ZiDiC, you know we hang out in person, you know... you know, stuff like that... I mean, seriously, for someone who is supposedly from Mars. 😉

Gregory Garcia said:Well, you asked, so I figured the polite thing would be to give you an answer. If you weren't actually looking for one, then my apologies—really, just that. 🙂

EDIT: I'm catching up to another question I missed earlier:

Look, I think I really missed the mark here—mostly because there were so many threads on the PZK boards about this, and I wanted to see what the fuss was about—but I've already explained my perspective several times. If you don't see it my way, fine, but I’m going to keep trying—perhaps in vain—to show that most people on this site, the ones who aren't constantly dancing on the edge of getting banned or warned, will probably view the situation exactly like this. And then I get told I'm being biased or that I'm some sort of clone—🙄 whose, who knows?—instead of you considering whether maybe a viewpoint that contradicts your own justification isn't actually objective.

that right to appeal you're talking about... well, ZiDic doesn't have that.

And whose threads have I been reading for days now, all opened under various different handles? Having the right to appeal doesn't mean the appeal will be granted—you can file an appeal, have it rejected, and that doesn't suddenly strip you of your right to appeal. It doesn't work quite like that.

then why don't you suggest a solution to the problem?

The solution isn't solely up to me; I honestly don't know how far you guys were going to push this, and based on the reactions, it seems like you aren't particularly interested in any opinions that don't flatter you or go against the grain. 😉

So, in my opinion, things should
1) limit trolling specifically to trolling threads, rather than spreading it to other topics,
2) accept a ban as something you just have to weather until it passes,
3) stop the whole cloning thing entirely and instead, if you absolutely cannot go three days without 🙄 being online, just stick to one handle, or perhaps use a second one strictly for private messages, and leave it at that.

Is that really asking too much? 🤷 If it is, well, look, you basically brought this on yourselves; all that noise didn't exactly win you many friends, and frankly, you've become a real thorn in the side of the moderators. 😉

You say you're from Mars, which is interesting... though you don't really sound like it.
And if you actually are, I wonder why you won't just listen to the explanations coming from people who aren't from Mars.🤷

I'm not sure whose appeals you're even reading, because they certainly aren't ours... all of our appeals have been wiped out. I think there's only one left that's locked, and that's the thread about deleting the lounge posts.

Your ideas seem alright to me, I suppose, if it weren't for those little technicalities that make them impossible to actually do. And those little things are—
1.The lounge doesn't even exist anymore, so there's nowhere to post stuff.
2.
The bans aren't going anywhere because they're permanent.

I guess I would really love it if you could answer me too, because I’m just so curious to hear an unbiased opinion.😁

So, basically:
1. Is it actually against the rules here to just ignore someone and totally shut down their right to appeal?
2. Is it allowed under the rules to stop regular users who aren't even banned from starting new threads, or to prevent more than two people from the ZiDic crowd from hanging out in the same topics?
3. Is it okay by the rules to block non-banned users from cloning things just because they happen to be from ZiDic, while everyone else gets to do it without any trouble at all?
4. And is it really within the rules to give Michael Taylor8 a permanent ban just because he was being perfectly polite and asking questions on the official PDF meant for that very purpose? Especially since it came with a little suggestion that he was being boring and should maybe go find some community service to do instead?

I mean, since you keep bringing up the rules so much, maybe you could help me understand these weird inconsistencies? I always just assumed that the whole point of the rules was that every single user who isn't banned gets treated exactly the same, but it feels like that's not quite the case if you're part of the ZiDic group. There's probably more to it too, I suppose. 🙂

Thanks!

Gregory Garcia said:Everyone seems to have their own little theory about everything—honestly, it doesn't really matter much.

Are we actually looking at realistic claims here? 😕 Well, looks like we have another joke teller in our midst.

Look, I think the fundamental issue here—and it’s a bit of a sticking point, really—is that whenever you get hit with a ban, or even just a warning or some content being wiped, there actually exists a functional way to appeal it. You can actually stand up and say, "Hey, wait a minute," and have your say.

So, if you’re going to walk around acting like you didn't get banned—or even given a warning, for that matter—and just carry yourself like you're some kind of untouchable legend who doesn't have to follow the rules you agreed to when you signed up... well, I mean, what am I even supposed to say to that? It’s just a bit much, don't you think? 🤷

Look, I don't think anyone actually believes that bans or red cards are handed out just to mess with people or play some kind of cruel prank—it’s really quite the opposite, isn't it? In my view, the whole point of those measures is to actually curb the trolling and prevent anyone from being harassed or picked on in the first place. It's about keeping things civil, I guess. 😉

Personally, I'm really curious about what the mods and admins are claiming, and honestly, they should probably show some proof for their assertions. It isn't irrelevant what they say, because they wiped out that whole ZiDic thread and then split up Perm and basically turned this entire forum into a circus. It would be really great if they could just lay out specific reasons so we can actually try to discuss this whole situation, which has been shut down from the very start.
So, see, regarding what you're talking about specifically the right to appeal, well, ZiDic never actually had that. We've never even been able to file an appeal or really debate anything with the moderators. Every single time, the thread would just get deleted or locked. It always felt like the whole thing was being covered up. And even now, can't you see that posts are being removed? Of course you can't see it, because your own 😉, those aren't being deleted.

Anyway, I noticed that every other post in this thread seems to be yours and you're clearly pretty invested, so maybe you could suggest a solution to the problem? 🤷

Since you're such an unbiased forum member, why don't you tell me why Tonček is getting permaban status? Like, which specific forum rule did he even break? And what kind of response did he get on his own PZK thread? Does that seem like fair behavior from a moderator to you?

It's actually quite simple, really—just look at his posts and tell me exactly why he deserves a permanent ban.🙂

I’ve been scrolling through these links where people are basically plotting how to clone accounts, figuring out what to say and who to target... and honestly, I don't have anything against it personally, but I just have to point out that it’s exactly this kind of stuff that got an entire massive thread—one with like 20,000 posts from three years ago on the off-topic board—wiped clean in an instant, which ended up getting a bunch of regular users banned for life. So, yeah, there's that, if you're wondering about how consistent the moderation rules actually are here.
