Support thread for admin ZgSash

Looking at this latest wave of violence in the politics thread, it feels like an all-out war against the admin.
I get why users aren't happy with the admin's calls, but moderators who are basically picking sides in this fight against him should either step down or be kicked out.
So, I guess it’s about time we stop letting them delete troll posts and start handing them bans for the exact same stuff regular users get flagged for.

As for ZgSash, he's the first admin on this forum who actually responds to appeals. We finally have some actual oversight over the mods, where sometimes a ban gets overturned if a mod messes up.
The guy is reasonable—you can talk to him without him always having to be right or doing whatever you want—but he’s definitely one of the best admins we've had since this place started.
Maybe people should just show the admin some support and give him the ammo to get rid of these moderators who won't follow his policies (since they're too cowardly to resign themselves).

ZgSash, just keep doing your thing. You're doing a good job and it's about time things were settled once and for all.

Shout out to the Politics mods who absolutely nailed it from day one. They did an amazing job.

Honestly, I’ve got a bone to pick with some of the mods from other subreddits. They were openly attacking the Politics mods' decisions right there ON THAT THREAD—which is basically just trolling and being straight-up disrespectful. I’m paraphrasing since the post was nuked (Whatever they actually wrote), but seriously... do they do this because they’re just clueless? Or is it just bad luck? It’s wild to see one moderator talking trash about another like that, isn't it??!!

Regarding the actual topic at hand, I've been skimming through and one thing sticks out: Why is everyone arguing about stuff that's completely off-topic given why the thread was even started?
From what I can tell, they were deleting on-topic posts too. Not sure what the logic there was.

For one thing, I can’t bring myself to support any mods coming from the political side of things. It’s just a constant tug-of-war for me—it feels like everyone is positioned against my views, unless we're talking about specific stances held by Power or d@du, who haven't been around for quite some time now. 😁

But look, I’ll offer you a piece of advice... it seems pretty obvious that the "football" crowd has already started gearing up for a comeback. They're basically just sitting there, waiting for any excuse to strike back on behalf of the "fans."

Seriously though, man, if you keep going down this path, you won't have anyone left to actually post in the Football PDF section. 🤣

So, here’s my suggestion: lift their bans so they can actually participate in the Football discussion and maybe just issue some partial bans on the Politics PDF for, say, a few weeks...

I don't agree with some of them ideologically either. But what some of the football mods are doing is way out of line for decent behavior. They're making clones, plotting attacks on Politics from their private chats, and then bragging about using clones to mess with each other.
It's pathetic....

It's pure spite. And if the admin backs down now and lifts those bans, then none of the rules on this forum actually mean anything because anyone could use that excuse for any violation.

After that whole thread on fan violence, where you and your buddy steeleagle70 got absolutely shredded by arguments that were deleted as "off-topic" while your own garbage stayed up?

Such a shame I didn't grab screenshots to show the difference between the fans' actual points and the nonsense you, steeleagle70, and the rest of that crew were spewing—people who don't even know anything about the subject.

Today, Tom opened this thread specifically to call out the double standards, and the "kings" over in politics just banned everyone who agreed with him. Not to mention handing out 29-point cards to people who only needed 30 to get banned, all because they dared to criticize the fans.

And one more thing—since I'm one of maybe five guys who actually started the PDF fans thread here, which is currently the MOST READ thread on any subforum, I don't get why administration doesn't realize they have a massive privilege. The leaders of all the major American supporter groups are right here. To put it in perspective, it would be like having someone like Dickey posting on the science board and Josipović running the political section... we're talking about the absolute top brass of American fan culture.

Instead of using that leverage, they just ban people for having opinions that differ from theirs. It's stupid, pathetic, and pointless. And the admin, who I usually don't mind, is leading the charge on this, backed by nothing but two goons under his protection who trashed the fan violence thread. And let's not forget the incredible granitefox16.

I guess they have every right to do that. It’s their subforum, so they moderate it and decide how the discussions go. They figured instead of making the thread some joke about fans, they'd just make it about Warsaw.
