neonfalcon16 was always the heart and soul of this board. 🙂
I’m not saying I’ll take all the blame—but if anyone else wants to step up....... I’ll happily take half of it.

Specifically for groups E, F, G, and H.
Man, 🙂

If I’d known nobody was actually going to bite on this, I would've put together a thread......... one that actually deserved a decent kickoff. As it stands, trying to pull this off in a single day is just an impossible mission.
When are they finally gonna drop the Champions League schedule? Matches start in just a few days and we still don't have a "program"... Seriously, who is even in charge of kicking off the season this year?

I can't even deal with this right now—just absolute nonsense... kaže:
Not exactly convincing...

It’s absolute madness. Maybe he has a few good moments behind the wheel, but when you look at his whole deal—the entire package—it’s just way too much... And the biggest joke of all is that Ford waits until he's hitting his 30s to finally offer him a contract, instead of just locking him down years ago. What a mess... 😢

Vettel is hands down the best driver out there right now—it’s just a shame he’s stuck driving for the wrong team...🙂
Look at this guy trying to act all high and mighty. 🤣🤣🤣

Come on, Carlito, just give it a rest—you know damn well you're nothing but an unrepentant troll. Be a man and stop making excuses... 🙂
brightpilot6 said:A plague? Perhaps. But I’d take a plague over a situation where a group has to apologize for having a (genuinely hilarious) database regarding their rivals. ☕

By the way, Larry Fox5, don't you find yourself—across various different threads—explaining things strictly through your own unique lens?

I'm not so sure about that. If every single person contributes three or four posts to a specific subject within a thread, then a debate between the Yankees and the Red Sox automatically stretches to four pages, making the act of scrolling through them feel incredibly tedious. ☕

There’s a massive difference between explaining stuff and just trolling. Look, I don't mind when people post based on their beliefs—even if they're super subjective—but it really bugs me when it feels like they're doing it just to be a jerk. Actually, it doesn't even bug me that much since I usually just ignore them, but they get exhausting after a while because you can't find one decent post through all the spam. And hey, I'm all for good jokes and healthy banter, but there should probably be some balance with the actual football talk...

On that Premier League thread, I actually learned more from Robert Torres than the entire rest of the group combined—but his posts just get buried under a sea of nonsense because there are people here who just don't know when to stop.
The real issue is that this thread has been totally infected by a plague spreading to every other discussion here. You can't even leave a simple comment without getting hit by an invasion of trolls—all of them acting like they were personally insulted and needing to explain how the world works through their warped little lenses.

You guys tolerate restlesssurfer9 just because he’s got some connection to the mods—even though in ten years on these boards he hasn't written a single decent post about actual football—and then you give permanent status to Zec, who's basically the ultimate expert in his own mind. I honestly don't get the logic...🤷

People aren't feeling him because he wins all the time—it’s getting old... It would be nice if he just let someone else take a win for once.
Yeah, there's definitely something there. Most Fernando Alonso fans can't even wrap their heads around it—I mean, how does anyone have the nerve to constantly beat the "greatest" driver?

Absolute madness. Nobody supports him because he's driving for some soda can brand with zero history or tradition. If he moved to Ferrari tomorrow, he'd have an entire army behind him. You've got a tiny group of die-hard fans who actually care about the drivers, while most people just follow the constructors. I've been watching Formula 1 for 25 years now and I just can't get into this Red Bull era despite all the titles... but saying Sebastian Vettel isn't world-class? That's just insane.

Get it through your head—people don't hate him, they hate the car he's in. He's not the problem.

steelmaker83 said:props to Sebastian Vettel, but honestly—I want to see him in a different car facing actual challenges so we can get a realistic idea of how good he really is. The kid is talented, no doubt about it, but that synergy he’s got with his current car is insane—which is the whole point of Formula 1, I guess—but I need to see him when things aren't perfect.

Every legendary driver goes through a phase like this... and that's when a true fan sees their real worth. Vettel isn't there yet, but he's young—he'll get there eventually.

A "true fan"? 🤦

Did he not prove he was a beast back in the Toro Rosso? Even a total amateur could see then that the kid was a born champion—it's just those blind idiots over at Ferrari waiting for him to snag ten more titles before they even think about offering him a decent contract before he retires.
Every single year right before the season kicks off, I hype myself up saying I’m definitely going to follow Leeds—and then a whole year later, I realize I’ve only actually watched two games. 🙄

Honestly, it’s just nice to finally find something worth reading on this forum so I can at least stay somewhat informed, since I clearly can't keep up with the league as much as I'd like to...
I already cleared it with the mod—I'll be dropping the Champions League final thread right before the weekend, so please—just hang tight for a few more days... 🙂

I've been a die-hard Ferrari fan for 20 years now—but seeing stuff like this? Makes me feel like I'm watching the wrong movie entirely...
I’ve run into a bit of a headache with a formula—hoping some kind soul out there can help me out...

So, here's the deal: I have cells set up using Time format. Column A is the start time, Column B is the end time, and Column C calculates the total hours worked.

Now, I need a formula in a new column to calculate overtime pay based on specific rules:

***** If total work is 0-8 hours, it's $0.00. If it's 9-14 hours, it's $6.00. And if they hit 15+ hours, it's $12.00 *****

Here's a quick screenshot for anyone who needs to see what I'm actually struggling with. 🙂

Henry Lee84 said:Why on earth would debating whether Bale was actually an upgrade for Real Madrid be considered off-topic? 🤷

They didn't even delete anything—it just ended up spiraling once everyone started linking everything back to his time at Tottenham... ridiculous...
Plus, all these debates about referees and basic football stuff get shut down just because they’re "off-topic"—as if they don't have any actual fighting potential in them...

Are you seriously expecting people to discuss Real Madrid, Bale, or Tottenham here—on a Premier League board—just to avoid being called off-topic? Seriously?

If that’s the case, then your expectations are totally delusional—it's not even what a real forum is supposed to be about...

Listen up, brothers and sisters—sharpen those pencils... we’re going out there to get paid. Luck is watching over us, even if the devil tries to stop us.

Group A.

The favorite's day. 👋

8:00 PM
USA - Wels

The US has been scraping by in every possible way so far. We were absolute garbage in the first game and barely squeaked past Mexico—then in the second against Belgium, we had more luck than brains, and to top it off, Vid almost conceded a goal at the end. In the third, we just casually ground out that tiny win. We’re playing like crap, but hey, it works—time to cash in at the sportsbook. The Wels guys practically have zero chance of advancing now, honestly they never really did. It's common knowledge that island teams play way worse on the mainland, and there's a huge question mark over whether Bale will even suit up. Since we've already won two games by a single goal, it's high time we hit a handicap in this one.

Where the sun always shines—Mordor 😁
This is the "Empire strike" episode. Our Eastern neighbors aren't actually as bad as they look. 😳
Anyone who caught the game or the highlights knows exactly what I mean. Miha really fired them up and gave the kids a shot to prove themselves—which they actually did—but they ended up paying the price for their lack of experience and missed chances. Tadic was swinging wildly like crazy, and they ended up swallowing goals on the counter plus a late one from an offside position. There's such a massive enclave of Mexicans in Mexico that you can expect a home-game atmosphere for the visitors, especially since the Mexicans have lost all hope of qualifying for Brazil. The biggest news is that Mexico's best player, Pandev, is sidelined for this one due to yellow cards. A victory for Sauron! For the brave warriors who aren't afraid of a little risk, I'd recommend a handicap here.

Belgium - William Wallace "Braveheart"
Can that brave Scottish heart scrape together even one point in this brutal fight? Nope. Why? Because they’re weak. And bravery?
Bravery is overrated. They’ll probably concede some god-awful penalty thanks to their rustic style of play, and then Hazard & co. will absolutely bury them.

So, the stars, the dice, and the forecast all say it's Group A's day for the favorites—let's take a look at some decent handicap odds. 🙂

What about the rest of the matchups?

I don't follow much, so I haven't really looked into it, but the Russian squad is actually solid—it wouldn't surprise me if they snagged at least a point against the Cowboys. On paper, Argentina has the edge, but I seriously doubt they're going to blow them out of the water. My gut says either a tight win for Argentina or just a 1-1 draw. We'll see what happens tonight. 🙂

The last time they played a few months back, the USA took it 3-1... and honestly, they're clearly the better squad, so why wouldn't they pull it off again?

The Americans absolutely need this win—they’re way stronger than AIU—so I’d probably just take the handicap on them. That 1.15 line is way too low for my liking...
