Even though I've had Peaky Blinders and Daredevil sitting in my download queue for ages, I just haven't found the headspace for them. I'd much rather stick to comedies lately; I just wrapped up Entourage (now we're all just waiting on that ☕ movie), and right now I'm watching Archer, which is freaking hilarious. There's just too much good stuff out there and nowhere near enough time.
And don't even get me started on the classics I've missed, like Oz or Twin Peaks—I actually started the latter a long time ago but had to drop it because life got in the way. That said, I did manage to get through The Sopranos and The Wire, and honestly, nothing else even comes close to those two. 🙏
So, I just finished Breaking Bad and saw all this hype around The Wire—read through some forum threads too—and man, I was totally riding that wave... honestly thought I’d stumbled onto some absolute diamond of a show because the reviews were insane, not to mention how everyone kept insisting it actually tops Breaking Bad...
And then I hit the biggest disappointment of my entire TV-watching life. I forced myself to watch The Wire three times—seriously, three times—thinking maybe I just wasn't in the right headspace or something... especially since The Wire was one of my all-time favorites... but nope... a total waste of time...
I’m honestly about two seconds away from just muting all these "critics"... such a massive waste of my damn time... 😠
