There wasn't even any insults or fighting... people were just laying out their opinions pretty civilly.

Look, I get it—mods aren't elected by popular vote, and this forum isn't exactly running on a democratic system, but I’m genuinely curious if they'll actually let this poll go through. It doesn't force anyone to do anything, it’s just a way to see what the regular folks here actually think about things.

I spend most of my time scrolling through the news sites and the Men's Club, and I’ve noticed there are a ton of posters where you can't tell if they're even male or female just by looking at their handle. It’s kind of a pain, honestly. I’ll be halfway through some massive wall of text, totally invested, and then I realize at the very end that I was actually reading some woman ramble on. Maybe they should just put their gender right under their username or something.
I mean, maybe it’d be a good idea if we actually had some kind of user reputation system here; when you don't have the time to slog through every single thread, you could just stick to reading posts from the high-quality users.

Look, this Forum isn't some big-shot news outlet. Honestly, I think a Forum is actually better for staying informed because you get to see the truth from every single angle. Every time I hear some random headline, I immediately head straight to the Forum to see what's really going on, mostly because I don't trust mainstream journalists as far as I can throw them.
Also, people shouldn't be locking threads. As long as something is trending or relevant, people are gonna talk about it, and once the hype dies down, the thread will just sink on its own. You should be able to bump an old thread if there's a legit reason, but if someone's just bumping stuff for no reason? Yeah, they deserve a ban.
